Muslim Women Want "Separate But Equal" Exercise Access

Roughly 200 Muslim women who bought memberships to the Fitness USA athletic clubs in Michigan have signed a petition asking the gym's owner to provide separate exercise times for women and men.

Array Mogalli said she feels like her $1465 lifetime membership to the gym is a waste after she learned that the gym, who previously held women's only days, went co-ed.

The women want the separate days restored, or some kind of partition between equal facilities erected, so that women and men cannot see each other while exercising.

The company, for it's part, holds that their contracts have no gender clause.

I've got to say: If you want to exercise in private; buy a treadmill. You're in America, babe, and we're co-ed. Deal with it.
