The Other Side Of The Illegal Immigration Coin

FBI Agents arrested Zeayadali Malhamdary (I'm just going to call him Zed from now on.) and raided his tailor shop after an undercover investigation found that he tried to obtain Mexican visas for Iranians so that they could fly to Mexico and from there cross the American border.

Zed said that he wished to help friends cross the border illegally as he did to escape religious persecution. Zed was granted refugee status in 1999.

Zed reached a plea bargain which has not yet been released to the public, and will be sentenced in August.

Let's take his story at face-value, and not assign any nefarious intent to the Iranians whom he was to smuggle into the country.

This should be a slap in the face to Iran (and Islam), that these people wanted to come here to live as they wish! Although we obviously cannot condone or allow illegal immigration, we should be waving this in Amahdinejad's smarmy face!
