Eating Crow?

Shimshon Badash of the Israeli town of Ramat Hasharon has a problem: The 58-year old man cannot leave his home without being attacked by a really hacked-off crow. Badash has had to resort to a helmet and umbrella in order to get safely to and fro.

"I need help. I don't have a life anymore. I live like in Hitchcock's movie 'The Birds'," the distressed Badash said Friday.

The problem started after one of the crow's chicks fell out of its nest last week. Badash picked it up and carried outside of his garden. Unfortunately for him, the mama bird saw what he did and is taking her revenge...

Badash figured after a couple of weeks of constant anti-semitic crow attacks, the town's government would send out animal control and rid him of the garden based attacks...No such luck, though. The crow is a protected species in Israel!

The mayor, who confirmed he had witnessed the crow attacking Badash, said that according to the city's veterinarians "this is a common phenomenon that lasts for a week or two and then disappears. As the crow is a protected animal the veterinarians cannot hurt it, and so the only solution is to wait for the problem to resolve itself."

I think I'd be having blackbird pie anyway...
