So... Zarqawi's replacement has been appointed, huh?
Break out the tinfoil hats and watch out for those low flying black helicopters... I have a little theory as to Zark's demise.
We all heard that some of the intel used to capture Zarqawi was from the inside.
Now, back up a month or so. We all saw Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's embarrassing video. He tried to look tough in his American sneakers, and failed miserably. Jamming his weapon, and handing it off to underlings who were obviously as grossly incompetent as he looked to be, if not more so.
We all know, after the Danish cartoon riots, that Islam's Achilles Heel is humiliation. Islam cannot stand to look bad, and Zarqawi certainly put on an embarrassing display!
I think that one of these scenarios may have happened:
1. The intel was rank by assassination. An underling saw an opportunity to get rid of an incompetent superior and assume his place. He leaked a little intel and let the Americans do the dirty work for him. We both got what we wanted.
2. There was an order from above Zarqawi to leak. Back to the humiliation weakness: Embarrass "the family", and there will be hell to pay.
No matter what happened, it doesn't take away from the victory of the U.S. taking out Zarqawi! What do you all think?
