Nope.
His boss cussed at him.
Now, don't get me wrong. No one deserves to be cussed at; the guy's boss should clearly have been reprimanded.
This, however, is clearly frivolous; who in their right mind can't handle a swear word? Remember when you were a little kid, and used to try to 'bust out' a big word without getting caught for fun?
It seems that nowadays, no one can pass up a chance to play the "litigation lotto."
The defendant, Sivanadian Perananthasivam (whew) was awarded medical expenses and worker's compensation for almost three months off of work for "emotional distress." It seems that his boss triggered a psychiatric disorder that caused him to suffer emotional distress, anxiety, depression, nightmares, migranes and a phobia of answering the telephone.
What did his boss say to him? What could have been so ugly, so unspeakably horrible as to cause this trauma?
His boss told him to "Sit your ass down."
I swear to you, I'm not making this up.
