President Hypocrisy.
That's right. Obama will speak to the Hitler of Iran, but not the head of BP.
Oh, except he reversed himself. King Obama has "summoned" Carl-Henric Svanburg to the White House.
Didn't the left used to like to call Bush a "flip-flopper?"

Pres. Obama in Ohio two days ago:

Really? Let's just say that it costs your employer $4000 per year to insure you. A 100% decrease would see the premium at $0. So, a 3,000% decrease would mean that the insurance company would be paying the employer (if my math is correct) $116,000 to insure you.
More leftist logic?
All things considered over the last year, I believe I have found the new Democratic Party theme song:

Outrage Trinity:
Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.
The three, all members of the Navy's elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral's mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.
Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.
Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.
Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), is facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.
Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2, is facing charges of dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement.
LAREDO, Texas (AP) | A U.S. program that offers trusted trucking companies speedy passage across American borders has begun attracting just the sort of customers who place a premium on avoiding inspections: Mexican drug smugglers.
Most trucks enrolled in the program pause at the border for just 20 seconds before entering the United States. And nine out of 10 of them do so without anyone looking at their cargo.
But among the small fraction of trucks that are inspected, authorities have found multiple loads of contraband, including 8 tons of marijuana seized during one week in April.
When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. These alleged emails – supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory – suggest:
Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more.

America: A Banana Republic
So cloture passed over the weekend under the cover of darkness, and the leftists who want to kill this nation smiled like reptiles while they patted each other's back on C-Span.Staffers on Capitol Hill were calling it the Louisiana Purchase.
On the eve of Saturday's showdown in the Senate over health-care reform, Democratic leaders still hadn't secured the support of Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.), one of the 60 votes needed to keep the legislation alive. The wavering lawmaker was offered a sweetener: at least $100 million in extra federal money for her home state.
And so it came to pass that Landrieu walked onto the Senate floor midafternoon Saturday to announce her aye vote -- and to trumpet the financial "fix" she had arranged for Louisiana. "I am not going to be defensive," she declared. "And it's not a $100 million fix. It's a $300 million fix."
The real star of the health care debate this weekend has been the 2,074-page bill — a physical manifestation of the size and scope of what's at stake as senators consider the overhaul of one-sixth of the nation's economy.
"It's a massive increase in government, as shown by this bill," Mr. Ensign, Nevada Republican, told a reporter off the floor later, spreading his arms wide as if to encompass the stack of papers more than a foot tall.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Alaska Republican, said the bill weighs more than 20 pounds.
The bill contains the word "tax" 511 times and includes 18 tax hikes, according to Americans for Tax Reform, a conservative lobbying group. It uses the word "require" more than 1,000 times and the word "shall" more than 3,500 times, and talks about studies required by the bill 150 times.
----------------------------------------
"You only have print on one side, which isn't even the way we print them up around here. I've had mine printed up on both sides, so I use both sides of the paper. So they've made an attempt here to make it look a lot higher than it is," he said.
When the official version is printed, Mr. Udall said, the type will be much smaller and the bill will amount to "an average-size book."

Guess What? The Border is Now Secure!
Declaring success in border security and immigration enforcement, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Friday that the federal government has done its work and now it's time for Congress to pass a broad bill to legalize illegal immigrants.
Really? Well huzzah. I guess whenever we have a problem we can just SAY it's solved and it will be, huh?
Her speech signals President Obama will make good on his promise to push Congress to pass an immigration bill next year - adding yet another hot-button issue to an already long and contentious list.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do, Dems. Please guarantee your ousting in November!
Ms. Napolitano said members of Congress and voters who balked at an immigration bill two years ago, fearing a repeat of the 1986 amnesty that only made the problem worse, can be assured this time is different. She said in those two years, the flow of illegal immigrants across the border has dropped dramatically and the government is doing more to catch fugitive aliens inside the U.S.
Gee, that couldn't be because the economy is in the crapper. No, it MUST that suddenly leftists have decided to stop illegal immigration. LOL! Just when you think the left couldn't get any more absurd, they give us another one!
"The security of the southwest border has been transformed from where it was in 2007," she said in a speech to the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank. "The federal government has dedicated unprecedented resources to the Mexican border in terms of manpower, technology and infrastructure - and it's made a real difference."
But Republicans said her declaration of victory on border security was premature.
"How can they claim that enforcement is 'done' when there are more than 400 open miles of border with Mexico, hundreds of thousands of criminal and fugitive aliens and millions of illegal immigrants taking American jobs?" said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee.
How indeed. Sheesh. As Beamish would say, it's a genetic predisposition for leftists to prove that they are imbeciles.

What a Friday...

LONDON (Reuters) – Why do some women's hearts race over the feminine features of Orlando Bloom while others are more attracted to masculine ones like Daniel Craig?
Being on the contraceptive pill could be the reason, according to British scientists.
Researchers said that women whose hormones are chemically controlled are less likely to seek out muscular, rugged men.
Whereas, they say, ovulating women not on the pill "exhibit a preference for more masculine features, are particularly attracted to men showing dominance and male-male competitiveness and prefer partners who are genetically dissimilar to themselves."
Women on the pill tend to pick more effeminate men who look like themselves. This could lead to problems conceiving, according to the study conducted at the University of Sheffield.
"There is evidence that genetic similarity between couples might be linked with infertility," said the study, published in the Trends in Ecology and Evolution medical journal.
The birth control pill could also throw a spanner in the works of the laws of natural attraction as it prevents women giving off monthly fertility signals believed to be subtly alluring to men.
"Ovulation is associated with a profound shift in some female physical characteristics, behaviors and perceptions related to male attraction," the report said.

Racist, Communist, Democrat:
If you haven't heard "Rep" Watson's words at her recent town-hall meeting, you'd better have strap yourself to your chair and make sure there's nothing breakable within arm's reach! I will insert a bit of commentary to Watson's words below.
WATSON: You might have heard their philosophical leader. I think his name is Rush Limbaugh. (As if you don't know. Stop being catty.) And he said early on, “I hope that he fails.”
Do you know what that means? If the president, your commander-in-chief, fails, America fails.
Way to take Rush's words out of context, not that I'm surprised. I believe Rush said that if Obama and his socialist/communist policies succeed, this country will be destroyed. Therefore, Obama's failure is America's salvation, so yes, he hopes Obama fails.
So do I.
Now, when a senator says that this will be his Waterloo, and we all know what happened at Waterloo, then we have him and he fails. Do we want a failed state called the United States?
Do you? It sure seems like it to me!
And remember: They are spreading fear and they are trying to see that the first president that looks likes me fails.
RACE BAITER!!! I am so sick of this bullshit! We don't want healthcare reform because the President is black? Does she realize how infantile and weak that sounds?!?
I don't want socialized medicine because it is a debacle!
Oh, and BTW, Watson, the President DOES look like me.... A HUMAN BEING. Get over your skin tone, you racist.
Now just understand what’s at the bottom line.
And you know we just got, 48 hours ago, we just go back, we were in Beijing, China, Hong Kong, China, we were in Taiwan, we were in Guam, we were all over the Far East.
I just want you to know: People look at the United States as a country that has changed its way and has elected someone from Kenya and Kansas, I’ll put it like that.
WTF exactly is that supposed to mean? Is that more race baiting, or shall I infer that Obama really was born in Kenya?
And they’re saying, “We thought you would never do that.”
So we don’t want to have this young man, and he just turned 48 — we want him to succeed, because when he succeeds, we regain our status. We regain our status.
Watson is just babbling at this point. Geez.
It was just mentioned to me by our esteemed speaker, “Did anyone say anything about the Cuban health system?”
And lemme tell ya, before you say “Oh, it’s a commu–”, you need to go down there and see what Fidel Castro put in place. (Yes, PLEASE do look at what Castro has put into place.) And I want you to know, now, you can think whatever you want to about Fidel Castro, but he was one of the brightest leaders I have ever met. [APPLAUSE]
Yes, Hitler was a bright leader, too, you FOOL.
And you know, the Cuban revolution that kicked out the wealthy, (WTF is wrong with wealthy people?)Che Guevara did that,(Yes, by MURDERING them...) and then, after they took over, they went out among the population to find someone who could lead this new nation, and they found…well, just leave it there (laughs), an attorney by the name of Fidel Castro…
And now we have an attorney by the name of Barack Obama. Does this woman not know any history?
Dear God, help us that we have such insane, evil people running this country!
Is it any wonder that Rasmussen now reports that 57% of Americans want to replace the entire Congress?

Political Stupidity Roundup Post:
Another honest mistake on the heels of the Geitner scandal? What are the odds? COUPLES who have more than two children are being “irresponsible” by creating an unbearable burden on the environment, the government’s (England) green adviser has warned.
Jonathon Porritt, who chairs the government’s Sustainable Development Commission, says curbing population growth through contraception and abortion must be at the heart of policies to fight global warming. He says political leaders and green campaigners should stop dodging the issue of environmental harm caused by an expanding population.
A report by the commission, to be published next month, will say that governments must reduce population growth through better family planning.
Oh, really? Do you mean the kind of state enforced 'family planning' that China employs? If a woman gets pregnant a third time, will she be forced to have an abortion, and then be sterilized while strapped to a table?
Porritt, a former chairman of the Green party, says the government must improve family planning, even if it means shifting money from curing illness to increasing contraception and abortion.
Bullshit to English: The disabled and the elderly will go untreated and die while abortions are freely given.
I wonder if the Muslim population in England would go for this sort of thing? I'd be willing to bet that they'd get an exception for 'religious and cultural' reasons.
Finally, another example of "do as I say and not as I do" from The One:
(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama, keeping a campaign pledge, signed a law Thursday to make it easier to sue employers for pay discrimination.
In a ceremony in the East Room of the White House flanked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden, Obama spoke as Lilly Ledbetter – a former Goodyear Tire manager from Alabama, whose case inspired the new law – stood beside him.
“While this bill bears her name, Lilly knows this story isn’t just about her,” Obama said. “It is a story of women across this country still earning just 78 cents for every $1 men earn, women of color even less, which means that today in the year 2009, countless women are still losing thousands of dollars in salary, income, and retirement savings over the course of a lifetime.”
Women who worked on Obama’s Senate staff last year, however, were themselves paid on average 78 cents for every dollar a man was paid, according to data last year from the Report of the Secretary of the Senate.
Another "honest mistake," I'm sure...

Your Lying Eyes.
Oh, that Blagojevich...Monday, November 3, 2008

A note to "Obama" was found in the man's car, which was parked on the top ramp of the Spaghetti Bowl.
Officials offered no further explanation nor interpreted the note's meaning.
About 7:45 a.m., police responded to a report that the 52-year-old El Paso man had jumped off the uppermost ramp of the Spaghetti Bowl. His body was found on I-10 west just before the Copia Street exit. His name was not released.
Police spokesman Darrel Petry said Crimes Against Persons investigators were investigating the death as a suicide.
------------------------------------------
Police were also seen on Ramp F, the top ramp of the Spaghetti Bowl, next to the white four-door sedan, which was parked unattended. The ramp connects I-10 west to the Bridge of the Americas and Paisano Drive.
Police confirmed that the man left behind a note that read, "Obama take care of my family."
How utterly pathetic.
Finally, a good scare for you the day before elections:
As I recall, the last government to install a 'civilian security force' in a time of economic downturn to 'ensure national security' was Germany...

From the Horse's Mouth:
The audio recording of Barack Obama espousing his socialist philosophy of “redistribution of wealth” is all over the Internet and Fox News today (although most other media outlets are ignoring it), but there’s another disturbing section on that tape that has so far escaped notice...
At about 15:30, Obama compares what was going on in the United States during the time of Brown vs. the Board of Education to ... Nazi Germany. Yes, really. Here’s the quote:
“...just to take a, sort of a realist perspective...there’s a lot of change going on outside of the Court, um, that, that judges essentially have to take judicial notice of. I mean you’ve got World War II, you’ve got uh, uh, uh, the doctrines of Nazism, that, that we are fighting against, that start looking uncomfortably similar to what we have going on, back here at home.”
There you have it. America is close to electing a President who compares his own country to Nazi Germany.

"I Am Both Muslim and Christian"... WTF?!?
(Click the post title for the entire story.)Shortly after noon on Fridays, the Rev. Ann Holmes Redding ties on a black headscarf, preparing to pray with her Muslim group on First Hill.
On Sunday mornings, Redding puts on the white collar of an Episcopal priest.
She does both, she says, because she's Christian and Muslim.
Redding, who until recently was director of faith formation at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, has been a priest for more than 20 years. Now she's ready to tell people that, for the last 15 months, she's also been a Muslim — drawn to the faith after an introduction to Islamic prayers left her profoundly moved.
Her announcement has provoked surprise and bewilderment in many, raising an obvious question: How can someone be both a Christian and a Muslim?
But it has drawn other reactions too. Friends generally say they support her, while religious scholars are mixed: Some say that, depending on how one interprets the tenets of the two faiths, it is, indeed, possible to be both. Others consider the two faiths mutually exclusive.
"There are tenets of the faiths that are very, very different," said Kurt Fredrickson, director of the doctor of ministry program at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif. "The most basic would be: What do you do with Jesus?"
Christianity has historically regarded Jesus as the son of God and God incarnate, both fully human and fully divine. Muslims, though they regard Jesus as a great prophet, do not see him as divine and do not consider him the son of God.
"I don't think it's possible" to be both, Fredrickson said, just like "you can't be a Republican and a Democrat."
Redding, who will begin teaching the New Testament as a visiting assistant professor at Seattle University this fall, has a different analogy: "I am both Muslim and Christian, just like I'm both an American of African descent and a woman. I'm 100 percent both."
Redding doesn't feel she has to resolve all the contradictions. People within one religion can't even agree on all the details, she said. "So why would I spend time to try to reconcile all of Christian belief with all of Islam?
"At the most basic level, I understand the two religions to be compatible. That's all I need."
She says she felt an inexplicable call to become Muslim, and to surrender to God — the meaning of the word "Islam."
"It wasn't about intellect," she said. "All I know is the calling of my heart to Islam was very much something about my identity and who I am supposed to be.
"I could not not be a Muslim."
Redding's situation is highly unusual. Officials at the national Episcopal Church headquarters said they are not aware of any other instance in which a priest has also been a believer in another faith. They said it's up to the local bishop to decide whether such a priest could continue in that role.
Redding's bishop, the Rt. Rev. Vincent Warner, says he accepts Redding as an Episcopal priest and a Muslim, and that he finds the interfaith possibilities exciting. Her announcement, first made through a story in her diocese's newspaper, hasn't caused much controversy yet, he said.
Some local Muslim leaders are perplexed.
Being both Muslim and Christian — "I don't know how that works," said Hisham Farajallah, president of the Islamic Center of Washington.
But Redding has been embraced by leaders at the Al-Islam Center of Seattle, the Muslim group she prays with.
"Islam doesn't say if you're a Christian, you're not a Muslim," said programming director Ayesha Anderson. "Islam doesn't lay it out like that."
Redding believes telling her story can help ease religious tensions, and she hopes it can be a step toward her dream of creating an institute to study Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
"I think this thing that's happened to me can be a sign of hope," she said.
