It looks like 'just another isolated incident' has happened again. One of the adherents of that so-called 'religion of peace' had stabbed to death an elderly man.

A 46-year-old Binghamton University graduate student from Saudi Arabia was charged on Saturday with killing a retired anthropology professor, a specialist in Islamic and Middle Eastern studies with whom he had worked, the authorities said.

The student, Abdulsalam S. al-Zahrani, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of the professor, Richard T. Antoun, who was stabbed in his office in the university’s Science I building on Friday afternoon, said Gerald F. Mollen, the district attorney in Broome County. “We believe the murder weapon was recovered,” he said.

Professor Antoun, 77, received a doctorate from Harvard in 1963 and joined the Binghamton faculty in the early 1970s. He was “a sociocultural anthropologist who has conducted research among peasants in Jordan, urbanites in Lebanon, peasant farmers in Iran and migrants in Texas and Greece,” according to the university's web site. He retired in 1999 as professor emeritus.

“He dedicated his life to trying to understand the people of the Middle East,” said the professor’s sister Linda Miller, of Holden, Mass. “He never said an unkind word to anyone in his life.”

It sounds to me that the professor failed to understand Islam. I'm sure he and everyone he knows is clear on it now.

Or, perhaps the Professor did understand the cruelty that is Islam and Zharani didn't appreciate that.

Ms. Miller’s husband, the Rev. David J. Miller, said that Professor Antoun had been married to his wife, Rosalyn, for 17 years and had a son, Nicholas, 40.

In his statement, Mr. Mollen said there was “no indication of religious or ethnic motivation” in the killing. He said no other arrests were expected.

No, of course not, just like the FBI rushed to claim that the Ft. Hood murderer wasn't a terrorist... Until it becomes too painfully obvious for even the blind to miss the facts.

I'm sure that once that occurs here, the apologists and dhimmis will be right there to figure out how we caused this poor, mistreated and misunderstood Muslim to 'snap.'

Then, parents and brother who must be beyond grief.

Finally, we have a news story about a "mentally ill" teenager.

I say put a bullet in her and be done with it. And yes, that is merciful because she deserves far worse.

The FBI and NYPD busted a four-man homegrown terror cell Wednesday night that was plotting to blow up two Bronx synagogues while simultaneously shooting a plane out of the sky, sources told the Daily News.

The idea was to create a "fireball that would make the country gasp," one law enforcement said.

Little did they know the plastic explosives packed into their car bombs and the plane-downing Stinger missile in their backseat were all phony - supplied by undercover agents posing as Pakistani militants linked to Al Qaeda.

Rania Ibrahim, a 15-year old who was captured at a checkpoint wearing a suicide vest in Diyala in August, is one of those pushed into terrorism in this way. She was a frustrated, poorly-educated teenager who had been sold into marriage with a terrorist operative. Umm Fatima, her husband's aunt, then cajoled her into attacking a police station.

"I left school at 11 and my mother spent the rest of the time trying to find a buyer to marry me," she said. "I wanted to be a doctor but my husband said he wanted me to go to paradise, where he would soon join me."

Her mother was finding a BUYER for her daughter! But Islam respects women, or so they say. Don't be a doctor, sweetie, be a homicide bomber. Now that's a career choice!

Oh, and I wouldn't hold my breath in paradise waiting for that kind, caring and respectful husband to join me... Just a gut feeling. 

But Rania, who claimed she was fed pills and alcohol before her attack, attracted the suspicions of police at the check-point. She was called forward and the police cut the belt from her body. Umm Fatima, who is believed to have held the remote electronic trigger for the device, was unable to explode the bomb.

That's right... Muslim cabbies cannot pick up disabled people with seeing eye dogs or persons carrying alcohol, but you can give it to a teenage girl before you murder her. 

Rania is now in prison in Baquba but her mother, Bassad Selman Mohana, lives in a dilapidated house near the centre of the once neat and prosperous central Iraqi city. She said she felt betrayed and deceived by her son-in-law, Mohammad Hassan, who was himself arrested a month after his young wife was taken into custody.

"My daughter is a good girl and I thought he was a good man," she said. "Around here, everyone makes price the first factor in determining who the girls marry. He deceived me, I did not know he was involved with al-Qaeda."

(UPI) – A Jersey City, N.J., city councilman said he has sworn off alcohol after being accused of urinating on a crowd at a Washington nightclub.

City Councilman Steven Lipski, 44, said Sunday he has given up alcohol for good after the "deeply humiliating, very embarrassing" incident at the 9:30 nightclub Friday, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

Deeply humiliating and embarrassing? Huh. I wonder how the folks that got pissed on felt? 

The two-term Democrat was charged with simple assault after club staffers allegedly caught him in the act of urinating from a second-floor balcony and onto the crowd below at about 9:50 p.m.

However, sources said Lipski has been telling colleagues club staffers were mistaken and it was a spilled drink that fell onto the revelers, not his urine.

"I spoke to one of his contributors this morning, and he's denying the whole thing," the source told the Daily News. "He's telling people he spilled a drink. It's ridiculous. He's already said he's not resigning. He's telling people that."

Why should Lipski resign? He's a Democrat; standards don't apply to him. He'll just say he's a victim of alcoholism and it wasn't his fault. He just needs counseling, not personal responsibility. 

Take note, peeps. The next time you party with a Dem, you'd better be wearing one of these:

Ohio Voter Fraud Update...

A federal appeals court on Tuesday ordered Ohio's top elections official to set up a system by the end of the week to verify new voters' eligibility and make it available to Ohio's 88 county election boards.

The full 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati upheld a lower court's ruling that Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner must use other government records to check the thousands of new voters for registration fraud...Ohio Republicans sued Brunner, a Democrat.

"Her delay in providing this matching system leaves little time for election officials to act on questionable registrations," Ohio GOP Chairman Bob Bennett said Tuesday night. "Once again, Jennifer Brunner has wasted valuable taxpayer dollars only to have her partisan agenda rejected by a court of law. Her shameful actions to disenfranchise Republican absentee voters, block the transparency of early voting and refuse the proper verification of newly registered voters have rightfully damaged her credibility as a nonpartisan election administrator. She is destroying the public trust in Ohio's elections system." [...]

Brunner argued that it would take two to three days to create the necessary computer programs, and that nothing in the Help America Vote Act required her to do what the district court ordered.

Tuesday's order directs Brunner to verify new registrations by comparing information on them with the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles or the Social Security Administration.

Would you be at all surprised if Brunner drags her feet until the very last second and then has a "computer failure" right before the elections?

The problem is, the head of the Ways and Means Committee, which is the committee that writes the onerous tax laws that you and I must avoid, claims he just didn't know he was supposed to be paying interest. 

I wonder if the gov't would be so understanding if you or I used such an excuse.

Davis [Rangel's lawyer] said Rangel failed to report rental income from the resort property on his taxes, but didn't realize it was necessary because of the way the deal was structured.

Davis said it is unlikely the congressman owes any back taxes under the federal tax code, although he may owe a small amount to New York State, on unreported rental income of about $75,000.

"It is my understanding that over the 20-year time period there is not likely to be federal tax liability by Mr. Rangel because of offsetting depreciation expenses and tax credits. Therefore, whatever amendments might be necessary do not involve the federal tax code," said Davis.

Republicans call Rangel ethically challenged and have sought to censure the 78-year-old lawmaker. Even an unintentional tax error is highly embarrassing for Rangel, since he chairs the committee charged with updating the nation's complicated tax code.

[Yeah, the frickin' tax code is so huge and tangled that not even the Chair that dumps more into it each year can understand it. Um, Fair Tax, anyone?]

News of Rangel's no-interest mortgage comes on the heels of damaging reports that two other powerful figures in Congress, Senators Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and Kent Conrad, D-N.D., got preferential mortgages with lower interest rates through a "VIP" program for friends of former Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo. Dodd heads the Senate Banking Committee.

[I'm sure all that was an accident, too. It must be, since no one is in jail. You know, like how quickly one of us plebes would be behind pig iron?]

Rangel bought the beach house 20 years ago for about $80,000, with a down payment of $28,000. Instead of making payments himself for the property, Rangel used his share of collective rental money generated by the resort to pay down the mortgage, according to his lawyer.

Rental income from the property was used directly to pay the mortgage, so Rangel never made any mortgage payments himself, Davis said. Only once, in 2001, did Rangel receive money directly, when the company mistakenly wired him $2,000 in rental income rather than applying that, as it had before and after, to the mortgage.

The mortgage debt of slightly more than $50,000 was paid off fully in 2003, Davis said, and rental income was also used later to pay for a $22,000 home improvement project. That second loan did include interest payments totaling about $1,100, the lawyer said.

The congressman's personal finances have come under scrutiny and spawned a House ethics committee inquiry, leading to a showdown last month on the House floor between Rangel and Republicans.

City police said a man who was driving drunk tried to bribe a police officer - with a sandwich. Police said a 25-year-old man was charged with drunken driving early Sunday morning after an officer saw him driving with his headlights off and pulled him over.

Police said the man was riding with a police officer in a squad car when he offered the officer free sub sandwiches if he could go home.

The officer declined.

OK, I want to know what kind of sub sandwich the guy offered... It might have been worth it!

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - A 22-year-old suspected truck burglar made a dirty mistake after he tried to hide inside a portable toilet on Saturday. Tampa police said the man broke into two pickup trucks at a parking lot and the owner of the second truck fought the suspect and chased him to a nearby construction site.

The suspect tried to hide in the Port-O-Let, but the victim found him and turned it over, covering him in huge amounts of human waste.

The man was been charged with auto burglary and possession of burglary tools.

I hope when the construction guy turned over the port-o-let, it landed door-side down! HA!

LONGMONT, Colo. - A man claiming to be a police detective tried to get an adult novelty shop to give him free X-rated videos, saying he wanted to make sure the performers weren't underage, authorities said.

He made three tries within nine days last month and was turned down each time. The store manager called police after the third try.

Authorities said Monday that the man showed a badge and left a business card from the Longmont police "age verification unit." Cmdr. Tim Lewis said there is no such unit.

Good grief. "Yeah, that one on the bottom of the pile looks to be about 17 and 3/4 to me... Huh? No, this warrant isn't written in Crayola!" 

Death Row Tuesday

The State of Texas is all set to flush another human turd tonight with the execution of Mexican national Jose Medellin.

In 1993 at age 18, Medellin took part in the hour-long gang rape of two teenage girls, Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Pena, during which they raped the two orally, vaginally and anally for an entire hour. After that, the gang decided to choke the girls with belts in order to kill them, and did so with such force one of the belts broke around the neck of Jennifer Ertman. Elizabeth Pena was beaten, her front teeth knocked out, and was strangled with her own shoelaces.

It doesn't end there. The gang decided to make sure the two girls were really dead by stomping on their necks until their throats were crushed. They kicked Jennifer Ertman so hard that two of her ribs were broken post-mortem.

This guy deserves the death sentence, and it shouldn't have taken so many years to get the job done.

This is the part that will really, really piss you off.

The International Court of Justice had ruled that Medellin was entitled to a new hearing as he was not told of his right to contact a consular official.

Texas says its courts are not bound by the rulings of the ICJ.

Damn right.

Medellin's case dates back to 1993 when two girls, Jennifer Ertman, 14, and Elizabeth Pena, 16, were raped and murdered by six gang members in Houston.

Medellin, who was born in Mexico but moved to the US as a young child, was convicted of Miss Pena's murder.

Um, you mean to say he was an illegal alien. 

At the time of his arrest, police did not tell him that he could request assistance from the Mexican consulate - in violation of the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations.

In 2003, Mexico, which does not have the death penalty, filed a lawsuit at the ICJ on behalf of Medellin and 50 other Mexican nationals on death row in the US who 

had also not received consular support.

The court ruled in Mexico's favour, and ordered that their cases be reviewed.

Here's an idea, Mexico. If you don't like us executing YOUR rapists and 

murderers, maybe you should keep them in YOUR country, along with all the other millions of illegals here. Maybe then we might listen to you on the subject.

Texas acknowledged that Medellin had not been told he could ask for help from Mexican diplomats, but argued that he had forfeited the right because he never raised the issue at trial or sentencing.

State officials also argued that it would not have made any difference to the outcome of the case.

That's right. This piece of filth committed capitol crimes against our citizens 

on our soil. Mexican consulates do not dictate Texas law any more than our consulates abroad can dictate to those countries what their legal system can do. 

Earlier this year, President George W Bush ordered Texas to comply with the ICJ ruling, but the Supreme Court justices subsequently decided 6-3 that he had overstepped his authority.

Thank God the SCOTUS ruled the way they did. When did the President forget that our Federalist system prohibits foreign countries from dictating to the States what they can and cannot do.

Where the hell does Bush get off?!? 

Last month, in response to an urgent request from Mexico, the ICJ ordered the US t

o "take all measures necessary" to halt Medellin's execution.

Um, you can just go to hell, ICJ.

But Texas judicial authorities said in response that the law in Medellin's case was "clear".

"Texas is not bound by the World Court but by the US Supreme Court, which reviewed this matter and determined that the convicted murderer's execution shall proceed," a statement from the attorney general's office said.

That's right. We were done with petty tyrants dictating to us what we must do from across the Atlantic in 1776, as I recall. 

On Monday, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles rejected a request by Medellin and his legal team for a reprieve.

Medellin's legal team are still hoping the Supreme Court will grant a stay of execution that would give Congress time to enact new legislation compelling US states to abide by ICJ decisions.

Excuse me?!? That is just utterly insane!

(UPI) – Attorneys for an Ohio death row prison inmate say Richard Wade Cooey is too fat to be executed constitutionally.

They have filed a lawsuit saying that because Cooey is grossly overweight, his execution by lethal injection, scheduled for Oct. 14, would be difficult and that he would suffer unnecessary pain while the death sentence was carried out, making it unconstitutional, The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch reported Tuesday.

I don't even understand this. How does being fat make you have more pain than normal while being executed? Does this mean that he's too fat for any other medical procedures? 

And really, I don't care if this chunk of human offal is uncomfortable while he's dying. I'll bet his victims 'suffered unnecessary pain' while they died, too. 

And how the hell is a prisoner in our jail being fed SO MUCH that he can become grossly overweight? That's INFURIATING! 

The newspaper said Cooey, 41, is 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighed 275 pounds on May 19, which was the last time he had been on the scales at the Ohio State Penitentiary in Youngstown. A spokesman for Ohio Attorney General Nancy Rogers said state officials were considering legal options.

Cooey and an accomplice were convicted of the rapes and bludgeoning slaying of two Akron, Ohio-area women college students in 1986.

You give me this asshole until Oct. 14th, and I guarantee that he'll loose some weight. Nothing but bread and water, and forced marching around a little yard for about 10 hours a day ought to do it... And that's not 'cruel or unusual', either. Hell, you could make the argument that allowing this guy to become obese is what's mean. Let's make sure he gets to meet his Maker in tip-top shape. 

Oh, and one thing this story doesn't mention: He and another inmate attempted to escape in 2005. Niiiice.

On Saturday, Joseph Manzanares stormed into the Hollywood Video store where his girlfriend worked, threatened to kill her and knocked over several video displays and even a computer, Commerce City police Sgt. Joe Sandoval said.

After he ran out of the store, police were called and the 19-year-old was arrested at his home.

His girlfriend told police that they had been arguing about the upbringing of their son and which gang he should belong to. The teen mother, who is black, is a member of the Crips. Manzanares is Hispanic and belongs to the Westside Ballers gang, the woman said.

"They have different ideas on how the baby should be raised. Basically, she said they cannot agree on which gang the baby would 'claim,'" Sandoval said.

Now there's a kid with a bright future, huh?

Falconer's case made legal history when his five-year-old victim gave evidence by video link to a court 40 miles away to ease her ordeal.

He was jailed for almost eight years for sexually abusing her and another girl. His ex-wife was last night shocked at his identity swap.

Mum-of-two Melanie White, 41, raged: "Paul should not be allowed to go by any other name. People should be warned about this in case he tries to hide his past when he gets out."

He committed attacks on the girl in Prestonpans, East Lothian, in 2004 and a second girl, two years older.

Now Falconer claims he has found Allah while locked up at the

 Aberdeenshire jail. He faces Mecca to pray five times a day and enjoys a specially prepared halal diet.

A jail source said: "He is now living life as a Muslim and he refused to respond to his Scottish name when he was called over by a prison warden.

Other inmates think it is an early attempt to co

The Global Warming Racket

Global warming is the greatest racket of our times, brought to you by an organization that has a successful history of scams and extortion. Just take the AIDS relief and "oil for food" gyps. UNITED NATIONS -- Helping the world's poor adapt to more floods, droughts and other changes from a warming planet will cost the richest nations at least $86 billion a year by 2015, an expert panel warned Tuesday.

"They must have help from the rich world," said Claes Johnasson, a co-author of the report commissioned by the U.N. Development Program. "Climate is forcing people into human development traps."

(Re-distribution of wealth? Why, that sounds like communism on a global scale!

We can all be poor now. Unless, of course, you work for the U.N.)

Half the cost, $44 billion, would go for "climate-proofing" (What the hell does that mean, exactly?) developing nations' infrastructure while $40 billion would help the poor adapt how the live to cope with climate-related risks, says the panel's report. The other $2 billion would go to strengthening responses to natural disasters.

(Uh-huh. And all that oil money the UN collected went only into buying food for the hungry, and not to buy fancy cars for Koffee Anon's kids. I'm sure that this time every thing will be above board.)

The report recommends the biggest share be paid by the United States and other rich nations, (Naturally.) based on aid targets and financing calculations by the World Bank and Group of Eight major industrialized nations.

The Bush administration said in a statement that one of its top priorities is "to alleviate poverty and spur economic growth in the developing world by modernizing energy services."


The Human Development Report each year compares nations by life expectancy, literacy and other data. This year, it focuses on climate change, coming just a week before the world's nations convene in Indonesia to negotiate a new climate treaty.

Because of global warming, he said, 600 million more people in sub-Saharan Africa will go hungry from collapsing agriculture, an extra 400 million people will be exposed to malaria and other diseases, and an added 200 million will be flooded out of their homes.

(Oh, it's the fault of global warming, and not the fault of their constant warfare, and utter governmental corruption that results in the failure to build infrastructure.

If we just cool the Earth by 1.3 degrees, everything in Africa will be sunshine and lollipops.)

The development panel says the greatest financial responsibility lies with the U.S. and other rich nations most responsible for the accumulating carbon dioxide and other heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere, mainly from man's burning of coal, oil and other fossil fuels.

(Funny how the greatest financial burden always rests with a few of the richest nations, huh? We need to stop letting ourselves be swindled by the U.N.)

"We're suggesting 1.6 percent of (global) GDP _ still very affordable," Kjorven said. "The countries of the world that are the principal culprits, if you wish, for creating this problem in the first place need to act strongly to safeguard the future of those that have done nothing to cause this problem but are the most vulnerable."

(Oh, we're getting a bargain!)

Developed countries, meanwhile, are failing to meet their targets under the current climate treaty, the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, for cutting greenhouse gases by 2012, the report said. France, Germany, Japan and Britain have reduced their emissions somewhat, it said, but the European Union is falling short of its goal of a 20 percent cut by 2020.


(So China is reducing their emissions, too, right? Uh-huh.
