The Painfully Obvious

From this source:

The Vatican on Monday made clear for the first time that bishops and other church officials should report clerical sex abuse to police if required by law.

Really? Why does this need to be made clear? It should be obvious!

The policy of the Vatican should be not only to turn in pedophiles, but also to excommunicate a priest who hurts a kid.

Personally, I wouldn't have a problem sending them to a one way meeting with the Boss.

They only want to make sure they're finished after the dirty deed is done.

It's the catholic way, after all.

I remember years ago when the American scandals broke that the European clergy was saying that it was "an American problem." Yeah, right.

Organizatioins that have avoided the gay agenda, realized through infiltration and cancerous growth, such as the Boy Scouts are doing fine. Sadly the Catholic Church was infiltrated decades ago (read Andrew Greely)and the damage continues. To cure itself the Catholic Church must first rid itslf of all prdophiles/homosexuals and institute strict recruiting and retention standards to prevent future infiltration. Without searching their ranks and recruits and elimitating all homosexuals, they will never recover.

This why it is so sad to see increased efforts to infiltrate and gain control of our military. We know what happens when homosexuals gain positions of control (homosexual child abuse in the church and its continuing coverup). When a gay presence is powerful or dominant in the military, what will happen to recruting combat troops?

I agree Brooke, wish we could send those pedophiles to meet their Boss right now.

Steve: Much of what Catholics do make no sense to me. Why cover up when the Bible is very specific about hurting a child?

Angel: It's mind boggling how many victims there are.

Cube: I remember that, too. Not so much, it seems now, huh?

LA: Excellent point, both on the church and on the military, although I don't know about the latter.

The former seems to be an environment that is friendly to pedophiles.

This has to be CLARIFIED?!

I agree with you, it should not have to have been said.

I think the law enforcement in the US shares a lot of blame for this issue too. Why aren't these men and the ones who protected them in prison? We don't jail pedophiles anymore?

Krystal: I know. It's astounding.

Chuck: You're guess is as good as mine. In my opinion, molesting a kid or raping someone should be a capitol offense. Period.

Don't get me to uncork my anti-Catholic sentiments. Needless to say, I think it's a error to confuse Catholics with Christians.

Ah, I recall some of those statements.

I tried once to get a Catholic co-worker to explain why they pray to saints.

"It's like having a sponsor to God", he says.

I kid you not.
