Would You Like To Play a Game?

So... Someone launched a missile. At first they thought it was from the ocean, then just south of LAX. The military didn't do it, and no one is taking credit.

The gentleman in the video says it could be our military flexing it's muscles.

Yesterday there was even absurd speculation that it could have been a private enthusiast, but no one stepped up.

Today, I get up and turn on the news and the government is telling me that it is an optical illusion caused by a jet plane flying towards the camera.

WHAT?!?

Doesn't it bother you that this administration actually thinks you are that damn dumb? A flame trail can clearly be seen, and that usually comes out of the back of something NOT a jet plane. Unless it's on fire... Did you hear about any plane wrecks yesterday?

If it truly was some dude launching a ICBM from his freakin' backyard, or more likely, a launch by a country or entity trying to send us a message, then we have an enormous security failure by the Obama administration, ladies and gentlemen.

Sleep tight.

Sorry about the video width. I tried adjusting it in HTML, but to no avail.

Dave's theory is Chinese submarine. Hmm...

You weren't supposed to notice.

Given the recent UFO sightings over Beijing, New York City, and Washington DC, perhaps the war Truman started with the Greys after shooting down their landers in Roswell, New Mexico back in 1947 is finally escalating.

It does take 63 years to arrive on Earth from the Grey homeworld at lightspeed.

;)

Seriously, I think it was a US military accidental launch.

Remember, in November of 2007 a Red Chinese sub (Song Class) surfaced in the middle of a US Navy exercise in the South China Sea. It was completely undetected and within conventional torpedo range of the USS Kitty Hawk. It slipped past at least a dozen screening escort vessels. The Pentagon was pretty embarrassed by this and of course the media played it down. I don't think it is beyond the realm of possibility that the Chinese pulled this launch off, and being caught flat-footed, the military and administration really didn't know what was going on at first. Then by the time they figured it out, the sub is gone, but they sure don't want the American public to know, to prevent panic or outrage.

China has obviously developed some stealth technology in regards to its subs. We also know they have ICBM launch capability. Remember Clancy's novel/movie The Hunt for Red October.

China is flexing its military and economic muscle far beyond what the Lamestream Media is reporting. This little display occurs right at the beginning of a currency war, thanks to Bernake's poor judgment of having the Fed want to pump $600 billion of printed (not real) money into the economy. When inflation hits, China stands to lose billions it has loaned to us.

I don't know. It just looks like a possible scenario to me. It also looks like "officialdom" is dropping the matter now, without a definite, iron clad explanation.

I think it was from an evil villain's secret island/submarine base.

My hope is it's nothing but you are right, it could be yet another failure of our new "national security" and the WH is trying to hide it.

It looked to my like typical vapor trails in our November skies over the ocean and that's what it's turned out it was, apparently.
Hey, at least it was pointed away from us!:-)

The Pentagon released an official statement today (2 days after incident) that it is contrail from a jet. What kind...passenger or fighter? If it were passenger, couldn't an airlines check flight patterns and say "yeah, that was ours on the way to..." If it were a jet, wouldn't the military know what was out flying?

I'm not buying this. Remember, this is Obama's Pentagon that "An equipment failure disrupted communication between 50 nuclear missiles and the launch control center at Warren Air Force Base" back on Oct 24.

It was flight 880 out of Honolulu bound for Tucson Arizona.

That's one of the "official" stories.

If that were a missile, the plume would've instantly been detected, we'd have been placed in Defcon 2, and the biggest sub hunt for the submarine that launched it would've been underway.

I was surprised there were no detections discovered from the Oak Harbor facility in Washington that monitors SOSUS activity from the old lovepoints that still exist (navy lingo for hydrophones).

MY official explanation? I really don't know, but I bet the folk over at the blog called "the stupid shall be punished" offy up the best explanation if they haven't done so by now.

Steve, with all the computer hacks coming out of China could you trust any intel that our detection systems give us.
Everytime we piss off China they tell us how easy it would is for them to hit our west coast, specifically L.A.. China is not very happy with our economics, the fact we protect Taiwan.
Assuming all this is a "BIG" mistake, the fact we could not determine a threat in a split second speaks volumes about our defensive capabilities and makes us look weak in the worlds eyes.
It is unwise to just shrug this off the way we have.

I have my own theory, of course: Geese with Gas.

David is right.

It's not the fact that we were fooled by an optical illusion from a passenger jet, but rather that our Defense Department didn't IMMEDIATELY know what it was.

Absolutely, EXCELLENT points, all.

The way this incident was handled is yet another reminder of Obama bowing down to the world and stating that we are not worthy.

Mustang, that is HILARIOUS!
And yes, it turns out it's vapor trail...well, it LOOKED LIKE it and I LIVE HERE!

I cannot believe that we don't have a definite answer to exactly what that "contrail" was.

No doubt it's that GMC truck they found in space coming back to earth. You know, National Enquirer reported this a few years ago........ ; )
