Hispanics are not all one big happy family. In our community, Salvadorans, Guatemalans, Hondurans and Mexicans do not and will not mix. I learned this firsthand from them. They are unified "Hispanics" only in the minds of white liberals.
I've also found that many second and third generation (and above) Hispanics understand that unfettered illegal immigration poses problems for their own economic and social well being. The more recent arrivals are the ones who doth seem to protest the most. Of course, they have the most to lose if immigration laws are enforced.

LOL. I can hear the southern border closing now.
That's a substantial drop in Hispanic support of the Democratic Party.
However, another portion of the article does give one pause:
The Democrats trail the Republicans in all regions but the East.
The Northeast holds a lot of electoral college votes -- almost a firewall for the Dems.
Oh. We shall see...
