Awesome Art

Tilt shift photography takes Van Gogh to a new level:

I wonder if this is what Gogh saw when he was painting? Hm.

See more here.

Also. Slightly related/slightly unrelated. Still awesome. Cube is required to watch it all. ;)

You're like a pusher! BTW the painting at the very end is my all-time favorite Van Gogh painting.

The first taste is free... >:)

I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite Gogh. Everyone seems to know Starry Night. Out of these three I would say the first is most striking.

When the Van Gogh exhibit came to D.C. some years ago, I waited for two hours to get in. The exhibit displayed several of his lesser-known works, and I found those works "better" than the famous ones.

Anyway, I bought a wall calendar with Van Gogh's paintings reproduced. When the year for the calendar ended, I couldn't bring myself to throw away that calendar immediately.

A lot of my friends don't like Van Gogh. Go figure.

Angel: The ear is firmly attached and God willing will remain so! LOL!

AOW: Van Gogh was such a busy painter/sketcher/ect. There is a wealth of material to view!

I can't figure it. What's not to like?

What's not to like? Some folks just don't like his vision. It's not for everyone. Me, I like it, but that ugly chicken creature was just a product of people out of good ideas for alien creatures on tv shows.
