More Insult and Injury From Obama:

Haven't we conservatives been speculating about whether Obama, having said he'd be content to be a one-term president if it meant pushing through his agenda, would try to do just that if the ship started listing?

Well, here goes... Obama has assigned a couple of his lap dogs, Chucky Schumer and Lindsey Graham-nesty to craft another amnesty bill:

Reporting from Washington - Despite steep odds, the White House has discussed prospects for reviving a major overhaul of the nation's immigration laws, a commitment that President Obama has postponed once already.

Obama took up the issue privately with his staff Monday in a bid to advance a bill through Congress before lawmakers become too distracted by approaching midterm elections.

In the session, Obama and members of his Domestic Policy Council outlined ways to resuscitate the effort in a White House meeting with two senators -- Democrat Charles E. Schumer of New York and Republican Lindsey Graham of South Carolina -- who have spent months trying to craft a bill.

According to a person familiar with the meeting, the White House may ask Schumer and Graham to at least produce a blueprint that could be turned into legislative language.

The basis of a bill would include a path toward citizenship for the 10.8 million people living in the U.S. illegally. Citizenship would not be granted lightly, the White House said. Undocumented workers would need to register, pay taxes and pay a penalty for violating the law. Failure to comply might result in deportation.

This is exactly the same bullshit that the American people RESOUNDINGLY rejected not long ago, and yet Obama, knowing that the Congress is going to flip shortly, will ram this though and sit back for a couple of years, enjoying the White House parties and press adoration.

Oh, but that's not all.

Let's see who Obama wants to appoint to the most leftist, most overturned appellate court in the country:

"Liu believes that judges have the authority to impose their views ... using clever verbal camouflage to disguise what they're doing."
Liu opponents point to a number of his writings, including a book he co-authored in 2009 called "Keeping Faith with the Constitution," in which the authors opine about their concept of judicial interpretation.
"Applications of constitutional text and principles must be open to adaptation and change ... as the conditions and norms of our society become ever more distant from those of the Founding generation."

Great. Liu should fit in nicely in the 9th Circuit.

If they don't comply they'll be deported? As quickly as they're deported now for being here illegally in the first place?!

Instead of granting citizenship, what we need to do is:

1) If you're illegal, NO MEDICAL CARE UNLESS YOU PAY CASH UP FRONT!

2) No welfare of any kind unless proof of citizenship is provided.

3) Anyone who fails to report a known illegal will be considered an accomplice to a crime (this includes people who work for government agencies). Legal immigrants or those on visas who fail to report will be deported and not allowed back into the U.S. for ten years PLUS they will have to pay a $10,000 fine before re-entry. Any U.S. citizens who fails to report an illegal will face a $10,000 fine.

4) No more ESOL classes in public school unless the parents or guardians show proof of legal residency. All legal ESOL students will be given ONE YEAR to become fluent in English, after that the parents/guardians will be responsible to provide their own translator at their own cost.

5) For that matter, no more public school at all unless the parents or guardians show proof of legal residency!

6) If you get caught here illegally, everything you own will be confiscated and sold to pay for your deportation.

7) In order to be a U.S. citizen, one parent MUST be a U.S. citizen. No more automatic citizenships shall be granted just for being born here.

8) Citizenship may only be granted to the innocent victims of illegally immigration. ie, the children who had no choice, grew up here and never knew they were illegal to begin with. They will be given SIX MONTHS from the time they discover they are illegal to apply for citizenship, or be deported. They have one year to complete the process.

They will not have to report their parents or siblings (I *DO* have a heart). Instead, they will have an additional 6 months to agree to "sponsor" them. These sponsored persons will have one year from the date of sponsorship to apply for citizenship AND take the test. They will NOT be eligible for government assistance for five years after becoming naturalized citizens.

9) Any illegal who volunteers and completes four years of military service will be granted citizenship IMMEDIATELY upon their honorable discharge. While they will not be eligible for free college tuition, unless they serve longer, we will show our respect for their service by also granting citizenship to two immediate families members IF they pass a background check. I think they would have earned that much.

That is how *I* think we should handle the illegal immigration issue.

I agree with most of what you say Krystal. But not the service in our military & then citizenship.
As long as we are meeting the services'requirements for recuits, I would not alllow illegal aliens into the service. Ft Hood was bad enough, we need to move in tht opposite direcion, imo.
