Actually, everyone in the White House, State Department and Congress should see this. They'd learn more truth about the Middle East in five minutes than their collective "wisdom" has gained for them in the last three years.
What exactly does he mean by "giving the Middle East to the Jews?" If he means extending Israeli style democracy, that would be a good idea. Israel, for all its flaws, is the only real democracy in the area highlighted on the above map. However, in order for this "Greater Israel" to truly be a democracy, it wouldn't be ruled by just Jews, it would be ruled by all its citizens (who would be mostly Arabs). Because of the overwhelming Arab majority, Israel will have to choose whether to be a Jewish state or a democracy. If the former is chosen, this will be a very undemocratic empire where only a small portion of the population can vote. If the latter is chosen, it will be a model state for the world. However, it will probably not be called "Israel," and it will most certainly not be a "Jewish state." Also, I am not sure all the people of the middle east will want to unite into one country. If they do, great, perhaps it may turn out to work. However, if the people of any given region prefer to remain an independent entity, that is their right. So in conclusion, I'm all in favor of more democracy in the middle east, but giving all power to the Israelis would not be a good idea at all...
