Democratic Assault

Is it just me, or does this politician look just a little bit blasted? Perhaps it was intoxication that fueled his decision to assault someone, or or could it be arrogance:

If you or I had pulled this, or a GOP'er, we'd be arrested. Why is it that this isn't on the midstream media, and that it seems Dems can get away with anything?

Oh, yeah.

H/T to Common Cents.

Da noive of this guy is what I find interesting. You are totally right that if this guy had been a republican, he'd be all over the news cycle.

This is the best reason why people should vote republican. They are the only ones that are kept on their toes by the press.

The dems are given a pass unless their transgressions are so inexcusable that they can't be ignored and then they'll be covered for a bit and then labeled old news. Move along people.

Why shouldn't a Democrat politician assualt someone, or sexually harass them, or steal public funds, lie, and cheat.
The MSN will ignore all the crimes and lies and so will the FBI, police, etc.

The radical leftists get a free pass and are above the law. There is no equal justice under law in America.

Brooke, I thought the same thing..."too many martinis"...he REALLY looks blasted. And ya...put an R behind his name, and the networks would have run this story for a week. As it is, I don't think they covered it. SURPRISE! :-)

Cube: You are exactly right. The MSM won't hesitate to do everything they can to cover for the leftists, but let a Repub even look at someone cross-eyed and all hell breaks loose.

LA: If the top leftists such as Clinton, Obama, ect, can do whatever they wish, why shouldn't this guy follow the example?

Z: He looks like a cheap vodka kind of guy to me. Heh.

Update. Congressman makes lame apology:

“I have seen the video posted on several blogs. I deeply and profoundly regret my reaction and I apologize to all involved. Throughout my many years of service to the people of North Carolina, I have always tried to treat people from all viewpoints with respect. No matter how intrusive and partisan our politics can become, this does not justify a poor response. I have and I will always work to promote a civil public discourse.”

ABC11 has checked with DC Metropolitan Police, who said no assault report has been filed over the incident.

At a news conference later Monday afternoon, Etheridge told reporters he had just left an event and had "a bad day."

Yeah, so when you or I have a bad day we're now allowed to assault people?

I, for one, am sick of these politicians acting however they wish and then just saying, "oops, sorry" and getting away with it!

I guess you'd have to get a bit lubricated to deal with THAT.
