Beautiful!

This is the first time since Liam was a week old that my brother, Jason, has got to hold his baby since he went into the ICU. (He just graduated to rehab)

My son was in the ICU when he was a baby. He was intubated and on a ventilator for a day. I was at the hospital when he was extubated (my wife and I were tag-teaming because we also had a 1 year old). I still remember sitting and feeding him that day and he turns 18 in two months.

I hope your brother continues to improve and good for him to have the time with his kid, nothing can take that moment away.

Chuck: Being a parent, in either direction, is the ultimate motivation.

Congrats on your son's 18th birthday! :)

Odie: Awesome, isn't it?

The picture says it all!

Jason had a close call -- too close.

Wishing him all the best.

USA: I'm pleased as punch. We're going to go out to see Jason in a bit. I don't know if he will be awake, as the dialysis still leaves him exhausted, but this pic is a HUGE step forward!

AOW: Worth a thousand words, isn't it?

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers!
