A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have. -Thomas Jefferson

I, for one, am sick of men being made out to be mindless, womanizing, abusive doofuses. The 'sitcom man' is not the majority.
From this source:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested Monday that domestic violence by men has increased due to U.S. joblessness.
Reid, speaking in the midst of a Senate debate over whether to pass a $15 billion package meant to spur job creation, appeared to argue that joblessness would lead to more domestic violence.
"I met with some people while I was home dealing with domestic abuse. It has gotten out of hand," Reid said on the Senate floor. "Why? Men don't have jobs."
Reid said that the effects of joblessness on domestic violence were especially pronounced among men, because, Reid said, women tend to be less abusive.
"Women don't have jobs either, but women aren’t abusive, most of the time," he said.
"Men, when they're out of work, tend to become abusive," the majority leader added. "Our domestic crisis shelters in Nevada are jammed.”
Watch the bullshittery, if you dare:
Hey, Harry:
Abusiveness isn't because of job loss... It's because a man (when the abuser is a man) lacked a father to teach him acceptable behavior, and I'll take it one further:
Democratic socialist nanny-state-cradle-to-grave entitlement programs have created a safety net in which a man doesn't have to stick around to raise his kid, and in which a woman doesn't have to try to select a decent man to provide for those children.
After all, Sugar Daddy Dem will take care of them.
But, all that aside, I would like to know if Dingy Harry is going to start beating his wife this November?
Just sayin'.
Dhimmitude Most Foul
Before you read this, go to your liquor cabinet, pour yourself a stiff drink and imbibe. You're gonna need it.
From this source:
Are you kidding me?!? That girl is dead because of Islam, and the prosecutor won't seek the equal justice of the death penalty because this dirtbag is a Muslim?
Are you kidding me?!?
Ladies and gentlemen, I fear our dhimmitude will doom America... And that we should allow in this country women to be victimized by the religion of violence and misogyny (aka: ISLAM) is beyond the pale.
Just one more precedent for the legal jihad.

Pay Your Jizya.
GOUDA, 17/02/10 - Gouda local council has given criminal Moroccan teenagers money to stop causing trouble. "We wanted to prevent matters from escalating further," said the council yesterday.
Some dozens of young Moroccans waylaid and robbed passers-by in December. They were 'bought off' by the municipality to keep them off the street around New Year's Eve. They received a combined 2,250 euros, shoved into an envelope, to organise a party, De Telegraaf reported yesterday.
Gouda has confirmed that it paid the troublemakers. "We wanted to prevent maters from escalating further. The youngsters themselves had presented a budget for the party. They had to say how much money they needed for hiring a disc-jockey, a bite to eat and drinks. For us, it was important that it should be quiet in the district around the turn of the year."
According to the council, it had to act quickly. "Although the money was handed over in cash, it was well-spent. Everyone was happy afterwards. We also gave five Moroccans a gift voucher for a book shop afterwards as a thank-you," says a spokeswoman.
That's right, you filthy kuffar. Pay the jizya or we'll raise a little hell.
Notice how the article was careful to say "Moroccan teenagers" instead of MUSLIM teens?
Here's a crazy idea... Instead of "buying off" these punks, how about hunting the little thugs down and throwing them in jail? Or better yet, send their criminal asses back to Morocco?
Rather, they let these gangsters dictate terms and demand money for a little party, and then handed over cash and said it was money well spent?!? And then a reward for not causing trouble after the fact?!?
Are you fucking kidding me?!?
Honestly, the Netherlands should just go ahead and submit itself to Muslim rule and get a proper Islamist name and some Sharia law going. They're less than a hair's width from it, anyway.

You're All Fired!
What do you say?
I hope the entire union goes down in flames. This is just another example of why they no longer do any good for anyone but themselves.

White People are Lazy?
(Read more at the Jawa Report.)
The newscaster gave Shami a complete pass on his blatant racism, and then allowed him to ramble on unchallenged with 9-11 'truther' bullshit!
I know there are plenty of crazy truthers out there, but I do wonder if Farouk's psuedo-stinian heritage has anything to do with his views?
I cannot comprehend how leftists get pass after pass after pass when it comes to their hypocrisy! Imagine if a white Republican had gone on the Sunday news circuit and said that hispanics were lazy or stupid, or went on about being a 'birther.'
The shit would never stop hitting the fan!

Obamaisms
Well, far from just mispronouncing words, Obama goes off teleprompter and starts spewing gibberish:
Seriously, WTF is he talking about? Does he just say words without knowing their meaning?
Can you figure it out? Maybe he has some esoteric meaning that is beyond me?
Remember Obama's campaign promise:
"I can make a firm pledge," Obama said in 2008. "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax. Not your payroll tax. Not your capital gains taxes. Not any of your taxes."
Forget about it. There's some change you can believe in.
I swear, he may as well look the American people in the eye and say, "Read my lips..."

Classless.
I know he's one egotistic SOB, but just when I think he can't get any more ridiculous, Obama takes it to a new level.
Watch this. I'm amazing:
First of all, this was all clearly fictitious. Secondly, did you see his face when everyone was laughing at the tee shirt line? He wasn't joking.
Finally, It's all about me, me, me.
What an utter buffoon!

Navy/ Marine Corp Name Change?
The actor who played the drill sergeant in “Full Metal Jacket” is coming to Washington, D.C., next week to lobby Congress to pass a long-stalled bill.
R. Lee Ermey is the national spokesman for a growing grassroots effort behind legislation sponsored by Rep. Walter Jones (R-N.C.) and Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) that would rename the Department of the Navy as the Department of the Navy and Marine Corps.
Read the whole thing here.
I'm interested to hear what you all think of this news!
Your Children's DNA: In a State Warehouse?
Nice, huh?
I'm sure nothing bad can happen. After all, the government always has your best interest at heart.
From this source:
When Annie Brown's daughter, Isabel, was a month old, her pediatrician asked Brown and her husband to sit down because he had some bad news to tell them: Isabel carried a gene that put her at risk for cystic fibrosis.
While grateful to have the information -- Isabel received further testing and she doesn't have the disease -- the Mankato, Minnesota, couple wondered how the doctor knew about Isabel's genes in the first place. After all, they'd never consented to genetic testing.
It's simple, the pediatrician answered: Newborn babies in the United States are routinely screened for a panel of genetic diseases. Since the testing is mandated by the government, it's often done without the parents' consent, according to Brad Therrell, director of the National Newborn Screening & Genetics Resource Center.
In many states, such as Florida, where Isabel was born, babies' DNA is stored indefinitely, according to the resource center.
Many parents don't realize their baby's DNA is being stored in a government lab, but sometimes when they find out, as the Browns did, they take action. Parents in Texas, and Minnesota have filed lawsuits, and these parents' concerns are sparking a new debate about whether it's appropriate for a baby's genetic blueprint to be in the government's possession.
------------------------------------------------
According to the state of Minnesota's Web site, samples are kept so that tests can be repeated, if necessary, and in case the DNA is ever need to help parents identify a missing or deceased child. The samples are also used for medical research.
Art Caplan, a bioethicist at the University of Pennsylvania, says he understands why states don't first ask permission to screen babies for genetic diseases. "It's paternalistic, but the state has an overriding interest in protecting these babies," he says.
(No, I would say I have an overriding interest in that, not the state.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Genetic testing for newborns started in the 1960s with testing for diseases and conditions that, if undetected, could kill a child or cause severe problems, such as mental retardation. Since then, the screening has helped save countless newborns.
Over the years, many other tests were added to the list. Now, states mandate that newborns be tested for anywhere between 28 and 54 different conditions, and the DNA samples are stored in state labs for anywhere from three months to indefinitely, depending on the state. (To find out how long your baby's DNA is stored, see this state-by-state list.)

So Are we Asking, Now?
Honestly, I could care less if the soldier next to me is gay. I care about whether he or she can kill the enemy and has my back.

So Much for Transparency:
Amazing. Remember the BHO's proud 'undocumented' auntie from Kenya?
The illegal alien aunt of President Obama could learn this week whether she can put down roots in Boston - or start packing her bags for a one-way trip back to Kenya.
And, save for U.S. Immigration Court Judge Leonard I. Shapiro, she’ll know before anyone else. Zeituni Polly Onyango has persuaded Shapiro to bar the public from her removal proceeding Thursday morning at the John F. Kennedy Federal Building, though it’s unclear why.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reid said removal proceedings are sometimes held behind closed doors in cases of political asylum - such as Onyango is requesting - domestic abuse and security.
“The immigration judge will hear the merits of the case from both parties,” Reid said yesterday. “The judge may make a ruling from the bench, but there’s no guarantee.”
Onyango, she said, can call witnesses if she likes.
Neither Reid nor Rogers claimed any knowledge of Obama meddling on behalf of his late father’s African half-sister, and Rogers said Onyango isn’t trying “to capitalize” on family favortism.
“Everyone knows she’s related to him,” Rogers said. “It’s a no-win situation for him. He can’t get involved in this. The law has got to run its course.”
Onyango, a computer programmer, has been in the country illegally since 2004, when Shapiro ordered her to leave. Recent attempts to reach her at the South Boston housing development where she’s been living since a December 2008 stay of her deportation have been unsuccessful.
I'm sure that NO nepotism will be shown to this shameless criminal whatsoever. Riiiiiight.

Anwar al Awlaki: On the CIA Kill List
Anwar al Awlaki poses a dilemma for U.S. counter-terrorism officials. He is a U.S. citizen and until recently was mainly known as a preacher espousing radical Islamic views. But Awlaki's ties to November's shootings at Ft. Hood and the failed Christmas Day airline plot have helped convince CIA analysts that his role has changed.
"Over the past several years, Awlaki has gone from propagandist to recruiter to operational player," said a U.S. counter-terrorism official.
Awlaki's status as a U.S. citizen requires special consideration, according to former officials familiar with the criteria for the CIA's targeted killing program. But while Awlaki has not yet been placed on the CIA list, the officials said it is all but certain that he will be added because of the threat he poses.
"If an American is stupid enough to make cause with terrorists abroad, to frequent their camps and take part in their plans, he or she can't expect their citizenship to work as a magic shield," said another U.S. official. "If you join the enemy, you join your fate to his."
