Obamanomics

You wouldn't believe what I just paid for a bit of groceries today.

Well, waitaminute... Of course you would; YOU pay for your groceries, too.

We've gone to eating cardboard two nights a week.

Odie, I wasn't out buying steak and lobster, either.

Potatoes, noodles, milk, bread... A little meat that was on clearance because it will expire tomorrow.

Ugh.

I think Ramen qualifies as cardboard. ;)

And the rat bastard 0bama still has another year to make everything completely unaffordable.

One year to go and the prez is still trying to put the pedal to the metal...despite the fact that we know he has gone the wrong way. I mean if one sitmulus didn't work, surely another one will?

Chuck: My oldest is 10. She ate like a hoss yesterday! I had to tell her to quit not to be mean, but because I thought she was going to make herself sick!

USA: He sure does. God help us if he gets re-elected. We'll be in soup lines and drinking tub vodka out of an old boot.

Gator: There is no end to Obama's waste. Here's one that is sure to piss you off:

The State Dept. just spent $70K on Obama books.

Your tax dollars at work.

I know exactly what you're talking about, but my problem is larger. I have a 21 year old college student who has tried, but can't find a job, and a 17 year old high school athlete with a very rigorous class schedule who can't find any part time work if she could find the time to cram it into her busy schedule.

You think a ten year old eats like a hoss, wait until she's a teenager and comes home as ravenous as a zombie.

Brooke said...

OUCH. I don't even want to guess at your grocery bill, and I'm very sorry that your kids are having a hard time finding work.

Nothing is worse than wanting a job and being unable to find one. We've been through that in my household more than once.

Now, if my kid comes home acting like a zombie, do I get to thump her in the head?

Kidding, kidding!!!

cube said...

Yes, you get an obligatory thump on the head. Then they revert from zombiehood and eat normal food... just gobs of it.

Obama controls food prices?

They passing out the stupid pills on the right again?

I've taken to skipping lunch -- and sometimes dinner if I've had a big lunch.

Mr. AOW skips lunch too, but has a snack instead. One reason is weight and glucose control, the other the added expense.

By skipping meals, we've manage to make our food budget come in at the same figure as before the price hikes.

Brooke said...

No, Ducky. Obama's admin is in control of devaluing our dollar and limiting our energy resources.

This is reflected in everything, including the price of a loaf of bread.

Did you get into those stupid pills you were talking about?

AOW: Lots of pasta, ect, here for dinner rather than meats. Last night we had potato soup. Very filling, and easy to make.

Cube: Heh.

Joe; Thanks!

Angel: We heat our home with fuel oil. Ouch doesn't begin to describe it... Thanks, leftist energy policies!
