It sounds like a right-wing anti-immigrant, anti-Islamic revolution might be brewing in Norway. The victim was Islam's Labour/Communist/One-World Government allies.
Although we must condemn the violence, it's also important that we understand it's source, LIBERAL one-world-friendly government that values its' internationalist principles above the rights of its own citizens.
Please join me and many of your friends at my new forum. We have a lot of things to discuss and get off of our chests. We want you to share your thoughts and opinions. ... Initial press releases that this guy was a "conservative, right wing Christian" just like they did about Tim McVeigh, Jared Loughner, etc. But just like with those two, the initial characterizations are are not holding up. More evidence to the contrary is emerging. His 1500 page manifesto and other ramblings are being posted for easy access now. It's clear that "religion" was not his motivation. He describes himself as moving from "moderately agnostic" to "moderately religious" but then he cites Darwin and secular reasoning multiple as the driving force in life. For him, Christianity is not about a relationship to Jesus, it is a cultural condition of Europe. The guy even suggests alliances with Muslim terrorists though he believes Muslims should leave Europe. I haven't read everything out there yet, but this guy is all over the map and self-contradictory with his vision of utopia. More and more information is forthcoming. He is just plain nuts and evil.
And Chuck and Gator have an excellent point; when this stuff breaks out the MSM IMMEDIATELY fingers the guy as a 'right wing nut job Christian', but when the facts actually fall into place the political orientations are suddenly irrelevant.
Cube - no, he was not a Christian. The act he did defies scriptures and the spirit of Christ in so many ways it would take a book to enumerate.
Now there is "cultural" Christianity in which there is a form but no real substance of Christian teaching in the culture. I guess Norway would historically be considered a "Christian" country because of protestant doctrine. But that certainly doesn't mean that even a significant minority of Norwegians follow the teachings of Jesus. The vast majority of Norwegians are secular in their outlooks and beliefs.
Same in the USA. Historically, we were a Christian nation meaning that was the dominant religious belief. But it does not mean that everyone was a follower of Christ. I talk to all kinds of people today who say they are "Christian" but when asked what to explain it, they can't. The most common answer is "Well it's the majority religion in this country" But again, what does that "religion" mean or teach to you? - deer in headlights. That to me is a cultural Christianity. Tradition or form without any substance and nothing really to do with Jesus or his teachings.
So the definition of Christian may mean very different things to secular and non-Christian people as opposed to actual followers of Christ.
Alligator: So true. I'm unhappy that the mainstream media has latched onto reporting the "christian" label all the while profoundly misunderstanding the meaning of the word.

I agree with you.

The Manifesto...
We're discussing this a lot as IBA -- as one might expect.

I find it amusing that we label this guy a right-wing nut but when it was a left winger in Arizona that shot Giffords his politics was irrelevant.
The best thing would be to hope these victims are at rest and this nutbag is dealt with accordingly.
Agreed, Chuck.

This nut was in no way a christian.

You all know damn well if this were a Muslim then we would NEVER hear about it!
Heck, the killer describes himself as 'not particularly religious.'
I'm getting ramped up...
