By now you've no doubt heard that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has confessed to a laundry list of terror attacks, both planned and carried out, including 9-11, and several other deadly attacks.
Khalid Mohammed said that although he regretted killing children and that Islam doesn't give the "green light" to killing, "The language of the war is victims."
He went on to compare Osama bin Laden to George Washington, calling him a Muslim hero.
KSM said that he was involved in the Richard Reid shoe bomb case and the Bali Nightclub bombing, a failed missile attack on an Israeli airline, and wanted to assassinate President Clinton, Pope John Paul II, and President Pervez Musharraf.
He also planned attacks against the New York Stock Exchange, the Sears Tower, the Panama Canal, Big Ben and Heathrow Airport... Thankfully these did not come to fruition.
The list goes on and on. Read about it here.
Of course, leftards are coming out of the woodwork to defend this scumbag and vicariously attack President Bush and GitMo, claiming that the confession is the result of torture.
Said Kenneth Roth of Human Rights Watch: "We won't know that unless there is an independent hearing," he said. "We need to know if this purported confession would be enough to convict him at a fair trial or would it have to be suppressed as the fruit of torture?"
Extreme liberals like this get their dander up whenever they aren't allowed to lead the government around by the hand. If they weren't invited, there was obviously torture involved; they are the only thing keeping those wicked military types from water boarding poor, defenseless terrorist 'masterminds.'
Riiight. Hey "Human Rights Watch"... How about focusing on the horrendous, violent treatment of women under Islam, or concentrating on the human rights of the victims of Islamo-fascist terror?
Why not? Because you are a disingenuous member of the blame-Bush-first-hate-America-first crowd!
And while we're on the topic of disingenuous, useless and evil international groups, the U.N. has been confirmed to be as useless as tits on a boar... This time, by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Ahmadinejad said today that the U.N. resolutions against Iran are nothing more than mere "torn paper," and would not stop Tehran's nuclear work.
"Issuing such torn pieces of paper ... will not have an impact on Iranian nation's will."
"What is the aim of issuing such resolutions? Today we are mastering the nuclear fuel cycle completely," Ahmadinejad said.
"If all of you (Westerners) get together and call your ancestors from hell as well, you will not be able to stop the Iranian nation."
"You sanctioned us in the past but we obtained nuclear technology. Impose economic sanctions on us today and see what would be our next step," Ahmadinejad said.
He went on to say that the U.N. Security Council has "no legitimacy."
Is there any question that we cannot rely on the U.N. and must act now in our own best interests?
