Cute Little Blob Creatures

I rarely watch 60 minutes, but the program last night caught my attention. I know it's a bit long, but please do watch this video; notice how the reporters and 'scientists' regard human children and the language used to describe them, and the suppositions applied to them...

I really do want to hear your input on this:

So, it wasn't Obama that made me a racist, I was merely born that way.

Yes, Odie... Just like Obama's white grandmother, you've had a 'certain reaction bred into you'.

The government is so conflicted over the Middle East crisis, maybe they should have babies look at Israelis and Palestinians so they can know who the bad guys really are.

Happy Thansgiving, Brooke and Cyclesmith!

I wish they'd had a black baby, too. Maybe we'd all learn that being mistrustful of 'other' is perfectly natural; this made me feel creepy that only we whites are racists. (as if)
Leslie Stahl seemed so happy once the negative stuff started being shown...notice that?
Also, at the end, they talk about young children getting kinder through socialization; I thought "Wait till they're through college, they'll want to give EVERYTHING away because keeping anything for yourself is wrong" ...socialists unite.

This whole thing gave me the creeps. When a baby in my family pinks the yellow shirted doll, we figure the baby just happens to like yellow :-) But then we're not being paid to do a study.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, BROOKE!! Love to you and your family. xxx

Gator: Not a bad idea... Heh.

FJ: Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, too!

Z: Excellent points. I wondered aloud if the baby simply preferred the puppet that DID SOMETHING, and my husband responded with a, 'well, duh.'

Clearly this CREEPY study was fomented to produce a desired result.

A VERY Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Z!

I didn't state it earlier, but I don't put a lot of stock in these studies. A few years down the road, they'll decide the data is faulty etc., and will have to fund more studies.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Brooke.

So much science nowadays falls under the category of "I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't believed it". Money is wasted on "studies" that do nothing but foster certain agenda-driven beliefs.

Gator: Ordinarily, I wouldn't either... But Cube is spot-on with this one!

Just like 'climate change', this one is here to stay! Racism is just as much an industry as the former!
