I Hate People.

I'll bet you a sack of ten that this asshat voted for Obama...

Stocky stock broker Martin Kessman is suing White Castle for being unable to fit his 290lb frame into the chain’s stationary booths.
The 64-year-old claims he injured himself at a White Castle in Nanuet, New York, while trying to “wedge” himself into one of the establishment’s table-seat combos.
Kessman wrote the company to complain, and says HQ sent him back “three very condescending letters” with coupons for free hamburgers. After waiting two years for White Castle to make good on a promise to expand seating space, Kessman decided enough was enough, and filed a lawsuit against the company asking for bigger booths and an unspecified amount in damages.
According to Kessman, White Castle is in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act. “I just want to sit down like a normal person,” he says.

Read the whole thing here.

I don't know about you, but claiming to be disabled because your ass is too large?!? Stop eating at White Castle for a little while and you will fit into the booths again!!!

For those of you who don't mind a bit of rowdy language, here is Penn and Teller's spot-on take on the ADA:

Ladies and gentlemen, I suggest we all take one for the team and have a few sliders today. Support your local White Castle!

We're all just "victims" waiting for the right lawsuit.

I'm going to sue barber shops because I'm bald and they charge me the same for haircuts.

Oh, BROOKE!
I saw John Bolton speak Sunday at a hotel here in L.A. and it was FABULOUS but this post reminds me that there was a poor woman there who literally had to seat both 'cheeks' on separate chairs.....about six inches apart. She was a BIG GIRL. I had honestly never seen anybody need two chairs to sit in. imagine?

Suing White Castle for being too fat? Are you kidding me?

I don't know about other states, but such a law suit would never get to court or to the settlement table in Virginia.

As one with a husband in a wheelchair, I know some of the good aspects of the ADA.

Just sayin'.

Joe: It's the litigation lottery.

Odie: Now you're thinking! What else can you sue for? I'm sure we can all get ourselves set for life.

Z: Oh, yes I can. I worked on an ortho/med-surg floor for awhile. We had patients that would literally do NOTHING for themselves as far as personal care (I'll leave that to your fertile imagination) but when that food tray came they could damn sure eat it all by themselves and then get their family to bring 'em fast food between meals.

It would take several of us to move these people around, ect.

This is like killing your parents and then sueing the state for rights as an orphan.
