Wright Patterson AFB Museum: Memorial Gardens

Outside of the Museum at Wright Patt, there is a beautiful memorial garden. The sidewalks twist about like a maze; there isn't just one way to walk through. There are stones with memorial placards every few steps on the sidewalk, and in the center, a huge obelisk that chimes every quarter hour, with a different song playing on the halves. It is so serene, I simply cannot do it justice here, so I tried to capture a few things that caught my eye.

Next to the building is a statue to the Women's Airborne Service Pilots (WASP), a of female pilots who lived by military law, and trained the same as male pilots in the hope of being absorbed by the Army Air Corps. Instead, they were relegated to non-combat flights, and were not recognized as veterans, so when one died in service, they were buried without military honors, and the other WASPs even had to take up a collection to have the body shipped back home for burial.

This one wasn't in the gardens, but it is such an impressive sculpture I thought I would include it here. As soon as you step into the foyer of the Museum, you are greeted by a huge statue of Icarus with his wax wings.

Note the size of the folks in the background... The stone Icarus stands on is as tall as or taller than an adult man.

Jailhouse Conversions: al-Quaeda Style

Our jails are becoming huge terrorist recruitment grounds, providing a bully pulpit to convert and radicalize an already violent sub-culture of people: Prisoners.

The prison service has no strategy to tackle al-Qaida operatives radicalising and recruiting young African-Caribbean and other ethnic minority prisoners in British jails, according to prison officers.

Britain now houses more suspected terrorist prisoners - the number is in the high hundreds - than any other European country, with many housed on normal wings alongside ordinary offenders.

The Prison Officers' Association says some of these terrorist prisoners are targeting for radicalisation and recruitment other alienated ethnic minority groups, as well as the smaller number of younger Muslim prisoners, and they are providing "rich pickings". Many of those held, whom they describe as "dangerous and highly capable", are "high up" in groups using the al-Qaida name and their lives have been dedicated to radicalising younger and more vulnerable people.

But senior prison managers have admitted in official correspondence that despite being aware of the problem they are waiting for a recently formed extremist prisoner working group to report before they do anything about it.

The POA has warned the government that urgent steps need to be taken to prevent the more dangerous suspected terrorist prisoners engaging in criminal integration and collusion, as well as their adoption of new radicalising and recruitment techniques.

Terror suspects and convicted terrorists are concentrated in high-security prisons, including Belmarsh in London and Woodhill in Milton Keynes. Despite being given the highest security, category A rating, most are kept on normal prison wings as the resources do not exist to deal with them all in separate secure units.

Steve Gough, the POA's vice-chairman, said he did not think there were "al-Qaida-controlled wings" yet in British prisons but said the stage had already been reached where they were recruiting prisoners sharing their cells or impressionable youngsters in the cell next door.


"Prison staff are very good at intelligence-led surveillance but it is difficult gathering intelligence listening to people who are having conversations in languages you don't understand. There are now many high-profile terrorist prisoners locked up on normal location, on normal wings with any other prisoner instead of in special environments."

The shoe bomber Richard Reid, the son of two non-Muslims, a white mother and a Jamaican father, has revealed how being radicalised while inside Feltham young offenders' institution led to his conversion to violent jihadism.

Lord Carlile, the independent watchdog on the government's anti-terror laws, this year identified the recruitment of radicalised youth in prisons as a problem and raised concerns about the activities of a small number of imams in prisons.

But more than a year after the bombings in London highlighted the need to tackle the radicalisation of Muslims the prison service has admitted that it has done little about it.

Peter Atherton, the deputy director-general of the prison service, has told the POA that "while there are some concerns that some people might be radicalised, there is little hard evidence that it is happening to date".

In a letter to Mr Gough, he disclosed that the prison service has recently formed an extremist prisoner working group, but senior managers are waiting for it to report before drawing up a prison service strategy for combating terrorism.

Meanwhile the Metropolitan police special branch has set up an intelligence unit in the prison service headquarters and there is also a system for monitoring terrorists held in high security.

Mr Gough said this response was entirely inappropriate: "This isn't a problem that will occur in the next few years. This is something the prison service should have been planning for since 9/11."

This isn't a problem limited to the U.K.; it is going on in prisons here in America as well. This is an almost entirely ignored front in the war on terror, and I fear we will pay for ignoring it!

WHO'S Playing Politics?

So there I am, sitting at my desk whilst my kids are napping, reading other blogs, when my phone rings.

I answer, to be greeted by a recorded political message. The female speaker prattled on at a quick pace, so I cannot give an exact quote, but the gist of the phone call was that the Republicans KNEW about Sen. Foley and were warning pages to steer clear of him since 2001... And then extolled me to call my Senator (Bohener) and urge him to start arresting and replacing Republican Senators!

Now, don't get me wrong. Foley was caught red-handed and should be thrown into a lake with a millstone around his neck, as well as anyone who is caught knowingly covering up for him. However, there hasn't been any Grand Jury inditements; no evidence has yet been presented to the public! In fact, the story only just broke! How are we to start firing people yet?

Only one answer came to mind, as I went to the obviously liberal front-website mentioned in the phone call: The Dems are already playing politics!

Using a situation in which children have been assaulted to further your own political goals... And barely waiting until the proverbial body is cold... What could be scummier?

Muslim CRUCIFIES Boy Slave

World Net Daily has an atrocious story about a Muslim who crucified his Sudanese child slave for attending a Christian service!

I will reproduce it here. All red type and emphasis mine.


A Sudanese slave who was assigned to watch his Muslim master's camels was "crucified" when he was caught sneaking out to attend a Christian church, according to reports from Voice of the Martyrs.

The aid organization that helps persecuted Christians worldwide said the reports come from witnesses in the Sudan who were in contact with the youth, now about 15.

Damare Garang was seven when the attack happened, officials said. He had been captured by Islamic soldiers when his Sudanese village was attacked, and then sold as a slave to a Muslim family in Tuobon, Bahr el Gazel.
His duties were to tend the master's camels, but one day one fled.

Muslims are some of the worst racists and one of the worst persecutors of black people on Earth. Yet, black Americans rate as one of the highest demographics of Islamic converts in America.

"How could you do this? You will surely have to pay! You stupid slave, I should just kill you now," he was told.

However, the child escaped any injuries at that point.

Then the following day Damare, who had been raised in a Christian family, sneaked away for a time to a small church service across the village.

His master was waiting when he returned.

"Where have you been?" he was asked, and partly from fear and partly from not having another answer, he said, "to church."

"You have made two grave mistakes," the slave master said. "Yesterday you lost one of my camels, and today you worship with infidels!"

The "religion of peace" cannot stand competition...

The master went to a barn and returned with a large board, some rusty spikes and a hammer, the report said.

"Frozen in fear, Damare was dragged out to the edge of his master's compound where he was forced to the ground with his legs over the board," the VOM report said. "The savage brutality of the master was unleashed as he proceeded to drive the long nails through Damare's knees and then nail his feet securely onto the board."

While Damare was screaming in agony, the slave master simply walked away.

This good Muslim nailed a seven-year old boy to a board for daring to attend a Christian service, but we are to believe that Islam is NOT violent? HUH?!?

The boy's help arrived in the form of a Good Samaritan who happened by, and saw the small boy. The man sneaked into the compound and carried the boy to a hospital where the board and nails were removed.

Damare later was released to the custody of his helper, with whom he lived for the next 18 months.

Once again, then, there was a militia attack on his village, and he was separated from his protector. When the Islamic army soldiers were driven off, a commander of village forces recognized Damare's speech as being of the Dinka tribe, and took charge of him.

Hmm. Muslims attacking again? SURELY there is some mistake here...

That commander eventually adopted Damare, who now lives in Mario Kong.

He remains disappointed he is unable to run quickly like other boys, but he says he's forgiven his attacker, because Jesus was nailed to a cross to forgive all sins.

Got that? A Muslim crucifies this kid for being a Christian, crippling him for the rest of his life, AND HE FORGIVES HIM!

"Before leaving, we gave Damare a care package with mosquito netting, soap, new clothing, shoes, a hat, a new Bible, a soccer ball, and a fishing line and hooks," said the VOM report by Tom Zurowski.

"Please tell the Christian children in America to remember to pray for the children of Sudan," Damare told his visitors.


Examples of this sort of brutality in Islam is commonplace. When will the world wake up and stop coddling this brutal, violent cult-religion?

Catch That Baby!

Talk about a million-dollar save: Mary Bussey caught her neighbor's nine-month old baby girl yesterday, who was dangling by one hand from her third floor apartment balcony!

The girl's 'mother' left the baby with her 13-year old and 10-year old son while she went to work. The boys got bored with babysitting, and left the infant alone, who then crawled through the open balcony door.

Fortunately, Mary Bussey and her son were outside on the sidewalk and happened to look up! Mary stood under the child, and her son raced upstairs...

Denver Social Services now has custody of the baby.

Laskar Jihad, or Holy War Warriors, was formed in 2000 in Ambon, Moluccan Islands, Indonesia, by Jafar Umar Thalib, who studied in Pakistan and fought with the mujahidin in Afghanistan in the late 1980s. More Muslim Tolerance For The Pope And The West

After coming under heavy fire by Muslims for quoting a 14th century leader during a speech, Pope Benedict met with Muslim leaders and offered up his apologies for offending the tender sensibilities of Muslim crybabies, who proved the quote correct nonetheless, with riots and murders of Catholics.

During his meeting, the Pope spoke of the need for "authentic dialogue" between the two faiths, and espoused his "esteem and profound respect" for Muslims.
"[We must] guard against all forms of intolerance and oppose all manifestations of violence," said the Holy See.

End of discussion, right? Not if you are an intolerant and bloodthirsty Muslim from the "religion of peace!"

Hamas' state run television aired a sermon calling the Pope "arrogant," "stupid," and "criminal," and "will be judged by Allah" on the day "when eyes will stare in terror."

Very tolerant and reasonable, huh? Very , very peaceful and understanding.

Here is some of the "sermon."

"To this arrogant Pope, criminal and arrogant, this message is from Allah the Elevated and the Exalted, as it was said: 'Think not that Allah is unaware of what the wicked do. He but gives them a respite until a day when eyes will stare (in terror),'" stated Gaza preacher Osama Al-Mazini in a sermon broadcast by the official television station of Abbas' Fatah party.

"For this ignorant and stupid pope, who has no one to attack besides Islam and the prophet [Muhammad] ... [the pope] characterized Islam as a cruel religion and characterized Muhammad, may the Creator have mercy on him and protect him, as a cruel man, spilling blood, who strove to kill," Al-Mazini said.

Nice, don'tcha think? Here are some more reactions by the "religion of peace" that is Islam, courtesy of World Net Daily, emphasis mine.

Mehmet Ali Agca, the Turk who tried to kill Pope John Paul II in 1981, warned Benedict not to travel to Turkey, stating his life would be at risk.

That's no surprise. Muslims have already shot an innocent nun in the back while she was praying. (Can you imagine the outrage had a Catholic shot a Muslim prostrated over his prayer rug?) They also fire-bombed several churches.

In an interview with WND last week, a prominent Gaza preacher called for holy war against the pope. He declared the "green flag of Muhammad" would soon be raised over the Vatican.

TOTALLY peaceful. Uh-huh.

"We did not need the words of the pope in order to understand that this is a Crusader war against Islam and it is our holy duty to fight all those who support the pope, who follow him and who did not condemn what this small racist had to say," said Abu Saqer, speaking to WND from the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis.

So you had already made up your mind to kill the kaffir? I can't say that I'm surprised. Oh, and can you all PLEASE stop it with that Crusader stuff? That was a long, long time ago; it's time to let all of that GO.

You will also notice the race card being played...

"The day will soon come when the green flag of La Illah Illah Allah (There is no god but Allah) and Muhammad Rasul Allah (Muhammad is the prophet of Allah) will be raised upon the Vatican and all around the world and on the fortresses of those who want to destroy Islam, because they know that this religion obliges them to face the truth that Islam is Allah's favorite religion. And until they join Islam, hell is their last station," Abu Saqer said.

Forceful conversions? Damnation? The Vatican conquered?

Keep saying it to yourself until you believe the taquiyya: Religion of peace, religion of peace, religion of peace...

Oh, and what is Allah's second favorite religion, I wonder? *snicker*

Abu Saqer said he rejected the pope's stated apologies.

"He did not apologize. He said everything but an apology, which proves these are diplomatic acts and not a feeling of being sorry."

Nothing would ever please these people, so I don't know why the Pope even bothered.

Abu Saqer claimed he did not condone violence. He blamed the pope for recent anti-Christian attacks in the Palestinian territories."We are deeply sorry for these acts that we condemn," he said. "But I am sorry that this little racist did not think of the consequences upon the Christians in the Arab world when he insulted our prophet. It is an open war: the Muslims against all the others."

Oh, so it's OUR fault that we're FORCING you to kill us... Let's not forget, ladies and gentlemen, that Islam is the religion where, under Sharia law, a woman is at fault should she be violently raped...

"Yeah, we don't condone rape, but your burqa was a half an inch too short, and you should've thought about that before you left the house. Now get ready for your stoning."

"It is an open war: the Muslims against all others." Can their intentions be made any more plain?

Asked to respond directly to Paleologus' observations about Muhammad and Islam, Abu Saqer replied, "About your stupid question (He's a little confrontational, isn't he?) about our contribution to civilization, did not you read about who were the pioneers in medicine, in mathematics, in astronomy? Did not you hear about Averroes and others?

What others, exactly? And do you have anything more recent than Ibn Rushd, who lived from 1126-1198... Like, say, anything from the past two hundred years or so? Also, writing mainly analytical critiques of Aristotle's works isn't exactly contributing anything new to the world, per se.

"I am not reading poetry, I am saying the truth. Islam, it is not the source of violence. Who is occupying by force and violence Iraq and Afghanistan? Who is occupying Palestine? Who occupied for years the black people and turned them into slaves while one of the first leaders of Islam was the black Bilal Ibn Rabah?"

I find this strategy of appealing to African-American people, (who are of course tdescendantsnts of slaves) interesting, considering the high numbers of jailhouse conversions to Islam by blacks here in America.

Of course, the black Africans in Darfur and other areas who are being raped and slaughtered wholesale by racists Muslims who hate black people probably don't feel quite as accepted and embraced. It is also a commonly held belief amongst Arab Muslims that the black Muslim is inferior to them, as they cannot grow the same sort of long beard that Mohammed had...(As well as Asians and whites.)


Continued Abu Saqer: "Violence is a result of lack of faith. See the Western society and culture. See what free sex brings to your Western world and then see the family cell in Islam. Even our problems in Islam come when some parts of the Islamic population want to imitate your way of life."

Oh, it's our fault again, never, ever the fault of the Muslim purveyors of death and mayhem. Not to mention that violence is a staple of Sharia law! Cutting off hands and feet, stoning... Need I go on?

The Gaza preacher said the pope and the Christian world are "panicking" because they realize "who is winning."

"See how Islam is progressing and gaining more and more members and see the moral crisis in the West," he said. "See today the support of Islam in the Arab and Muslim world and how Islam is gaining more and more adherents in Europe and even in the United States and you understand that Islam is the future and that this dwarf pope was wrong. But I can sympathize with him. He is frustrated because he understands where things are heading."

Indeed, this little pustule on humanity is right about one thing... As it stands now, they will win. Their use of legal taqiyya in the West, coupled with constaacquiescinging by the PC movement will destroy us. We must not allow our leaders to move us quietly into dhimmitude!

WE MUST WAKE UP AND DEFEAT THIS THREAT!

More Ineffectiveness From The U.N.

NOW can we disband the U.N.?

Despite passing a resolution demanding the disarmament of Hezbollah as a condition of the cease-fire between Israel and the Lebanon based terror group, the U.N. now says that
"under the resolution, their job is merely to assist the Lebanese army in regaining control of southern Lebanon and to ensure the area cannot be used for launching rocket attacks into northern Israel."

Do people understand that the Lebanese army is a joke? Some of their soldiers are actually wearing tin pots as helmets, and nearly all of their weaponry is grossly out of date.

Meanwhile, Lebanese security officials say the army's mission in the south is based on what they call an "understanding" with Hezbollah that the army will not search for and seize weapons, but only confiscate those shown in public.

SO, NOW CAN WE DISBAND THE U.N.?

Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, at a rally last week, "publicly stated that he is out to flout the will of the international community and to prevent the implementation of what was an unanimous resolution of the Security Council." At the rally in the Beirut suburbs Friday, Nasrallah vowed his guerrillas will not surrender their weapons and said: "There is no army in the world capable of making us drop our weapons as long as there will be people who believe in this resistance."

French peacekeepers setting up base near the town of Deir Kifa noted they had encountered a less-than-friendly reception from some residents, who defiantly waved yellow Hezbollah flags. "We mustn't be seen as an occupying force; the people can reject us very quickly," said Col. Jerome Salle. He said the U.N. troops would mount patrols but would not establish checkpoints on public roads, to avoid inflaming residents. Gen. Alain Pelligrini, the French officer who commands the U.N. force, said the peacekeepers wouldn't even act if they saw weapons being carried openly by Hezbollah fighters. "No, I would ask the Lebanese army to intervene and if the Lebanese army has difficulties in intervening, then we would see what we need to do," he said last week.

HONESTLY, why are we giving money and support to the U.N.? WHY?!?
