Chaos and Dhimmitude at the 9/11 Hearing

I can't believe this story is for real. I must be hallucinating, or I'm in the Mirror Universe. Or down the rabbit hole...

The defense attorney who wore a traditional Islamic outfit during the rowdy arraignment of the accused Sept. 11 terrorists is defending her courtroom appeal that other women in the room wear more "appropriate" clothing to the proceedings -- out of respect for her client's Muslim beliefs.
Cheryl Bormann, counsel for defendant Walid bin Attash, attended the arraignment Saturday dressed in a hijab, apparently because her client insisted on it. She further requested that the court order other women to follow that example so that the defendants do not have to avert their eyes "for fear of committing a sin under their faith."

Snip

The clothing request was just one of several unusual moments during Saturday's lengthy and chaotic hearing.
The court hearing for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his four co-defendants should have taken a couple of hours at most. Instead it lasted almost 13 hours, including meal and prayer breaks, as the men appeared to make a concerted effort to stall Saturday's hearing.
They knelt in prayer, ignored the judge, wouldn't listen to Arabic translations over their head sets and one even insisted on having the more than 20 pages detailing the charges against them read aloud, rather than deferred for later in their case as the judge wanted, which added more than two hours to the proceedings.

Fine. Try their sorry camel-humping hides in absentia. Why is the judge allowing this insult to the victims of these seventh-century barbarians? Why hasn't this dhimmi libtard lawyer been booted to the curb? What is with her lack of self-respect as a woman, to put herself in the cloth shackles of the Islamic beasts that slaughtered thousands of her countrymen?

Ugh.

Read the rest here, if you can stomach it.

Oh Brooke ... you answered your own questions. You used the word "Libtard(s)".

These people are idiots, that's a given.

What pisses me off is that the judge let it go on so long.

Imagine how much more of a circus this trial would've been in Manhattan.

This defense attorney is a tool being used by the enemy. It's amazing the things some people will do for money.

That an infidel woman would don a hijab outfit is surreal.

That ANY of this crap is going on inside a Western courtroom under the rule of Western Law is even more surreal.

If we follow this so-called defense attorney's idea, Charles Manson's defense attorney would have carved a swastika into his forehead out of respect for Charles Manson's perverted "religious" views -- and would have demanded that everyone else in the courtroom do the same. I bring up Manson because his trial was another chaotic event in the legal courtroom; I well remember the mayhem from the Manson trial.

Judge Z: "Look, this is an AMERICAN trial, and we're not putting up with your stopping everything for prayers at 10 AM, we're not going to feed you special food, no American woman who doesn't want to is going to cover herself because your lawyer said you get tired of diverting your precious eyes, and if you think you can keep up this silence much longer, you're sadly mistaken. For every question you don't answer, you'll be getting another day in prison. PERIOD. This is OUR RULES and you'll obey them or go into solitary confinement FOREVER."

what do you think, Brooke? !

Odie: I did, didn't I?

Chuck: Me, too. Why on earth would any judge worth his salt allow his courtroom to become such a circus. The only answer I can come up with is fear of offending Islam.

Cube: There would be CAIR and such causing riots, I'm sure.

I actually haven't looked up the ties this lawyer has in her college years and since. I'm sure they probably mirror Obama's.

AOW: Surreal is a good description!

I remember studying the Manson case in high school, and all of the chaos involved. Looks like we've got another such case.

Z: I think you've just about nailed it, except you're a bit nicer than I would be.

I really do think they should try these dogs in absentia.

Also, another thing to consider... We've had these animals in custody for quite some time now... Why is the trial starting RIGHT NOW? So once they are inevitably convicted, (and probably quite conveniently right before November) Obama can point to it and say, "Vote for me, I got the 9-11 masterminds just like I got Osama!"

Hmmm.

Outrage meter pegged, could not read it. It is not the same country I was born in.

The judge allowing this is a real issue. They should be held in contempt and removed from the courtroom. If they refuse to follow the rules of OUR court system, then try them in absentia like Brooke said. I think that their judge should be required to wear to court clothing that is appropriate HERE. Her hijab should not be allowed in the courtroom.

If I were on this jury, I'd wear the tightest lowest cut blouse I could find and a short tight little skirt. Their attorney going to demand the female jurors wear hijabs as well?!
