So very much, IMO. From the sexual pose the mother is taking (Something a breastfeeding mother does not do... This is damn near abuse.) while feeding a child far too old to still be breastfeeding, to the fact that Time has been irrelevant for so long now the only way they can sell magazines is to do shock covers like this... And they'e willing to do it.
What are your thoughts on this:
I can't wait to try to divert my kid's eyes away from this in the checkout lane. Ugh.

Dang! This is better than my pin up post. (J/K)
I think it is wrong and symptomatic of the decline morally we are experiencing. When there are no morals then nothing is wrong. Deviancy on parade in the media, making the abnormal normal.
Too much bonding with your mom cannot be a good thing.
Infamy sells. Just ask the "Hollywood Reporter", "Star" and /or "National Enquirer"... which shows you just how far "Time" has fallen.
I think it's a horrid photo to put on the cover of a magazine, even one with the poor sales of Time magazine.
Attachment parenting sounds like yet another wacko movement that will mess up more than it helps.
The law of unintended consequences isn't something that the left easily grasps.
How will this boy feel when his school friends bring up this photo in years to come?
I can't remember her name, but there is an actress who chews food IN HER MOUTH and then passes it over to her child.
*Gag*
You don't put child porn on the cover of a dying magazine.
To be expected these days...should have been an online photo, not on the mag itself.
USA: This ain't bonding! This is deviancy for certain; I would say sexual abuse!
Thersites: I would say those rags you mentioned have more credibility and ethics than Time.
Cube: This kid will no doubt need therapy for a very, very long time. How will he relate to women later in life?
Odie: Exactly. Listening to Savage's radio show, I couldn't help but agree; the 'mother', editor and photographer should be brought up on charges!
Jeff: I'll take neither!
Well, you know how I feel about it, after having read my blog.
Did you see the NEW parody of this Mustang sent me and I posted? OH MY GOD :-) You won't believe it, Brooke!
I'm sorry you have to divert your childrens' eyes; I long for the days when a mother needn't have even thought of it. But, today? HOLY COW, you do. THanks for being a good mom.
I'm about to head on over to your site, Z!
If they're going to display this cover of Time in the stores, they might as well bring out Playboy and Hustler from behind the counter.
Agreed.
I remember that with each of my three, I breastfed for as long as I was able. Even though I was discreet when I went out in public, towel over the shoulder and all, there would still be the occasional dirty look.
This woman has done a HUGE disservice to breastfeeding mothers everywhere!
I'm nursing a 23 month old and I find the cover disgusting!!!
Krystal: For every woman the amount of time is a personal choice. I wish I could've breastfed longer, but to production issues I could not... I figure when the kid is old enough to sustain him/her with solids I would've been done, anyway.
However, you're right. That pic is intrinsically gross.
