Video Roundup

I've got a couple more twelve hour shifts complete with picking up kids from Granny's house, ect... So here's a video roundup for you all.

Kick ass, Klavan!

Also, Pat Condell kicks leftist and Muslim ass again:

And now for something completely different...

This is really cool, but I don't know about calling these walking sculptures children or animals. That's just absurd.

WWRD?

I don't know about you, but I'm getting quite sick of the left invoking Reagan's name to make themselves more appealing come election time, especially on this day, the anniversary of the tragic Challenger explosion and Reagan's ensuing speech.

It seems that TIME is cashing in on Reagan's memory to prop up Obama. The February cover this year will feature Reagan warmly patting Obama on the back. It seems like just yesterday that they would not hesitate to diss Reagan as a doddering, mentally addled fool.

How things change when your president likely has no hope of being re-elected.

Found at iOwnTheWorld.

The first image is the TIME magazine cover. The second is what IOTW imagines would really occur:

Oh, Irony.

I'll let you simmer on the irony of this pic, comment bubble aside:

Kucinich Plays the Litigation Lottery

Cue The X-Files theme: Moonbat Democrat Dennis Kucinich is suing the fiscal failure that is the Congressional Cafeteria for $150,000 after supposedly biting into a sandwich containing an olive pit in April, 2008.

The poor Democratic Congressman alleges that he has "sustained serious and permanent dental and oral injuries requiring multiple surgical and dental procedures, and has sustained other damages as well, including significant pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment."

Funny, I suffer from significant pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment every time Kucinich opens his mouth...

I propose that Kucinich is probably getting the you and I to pay for dental work that he might have had done anyway. Or maybe the aliens put the olive pit there and he couldn't figure out how to sue them. Who knows?

Ladies and gentlemen, your tax dollars at work.

Odumber, Embarrassment or Red?

Check this out.

I can't figure it. Obama is either the most stupid, incompetent president in our nation's history, or he is as red as they come.

It is inconceivable to me that NO ONE bothered vetting what the pianist was going to perform, so I tend to lean more to the latter. I wonder if Obama and his ilk were laughing up their sleeves the whole time?

That no one 'noticed' at a time when tensions are so high with the Norks is even more of an embarrassment.

Speaking of Chinese and Obama, how do you like this bit of socialistic legislation reeking of ObamaCare?

I am all for organ donation; I am a donor myself. I figure if something catastrophic happens I won't be using it anyway and someone else may as well... But that is MY CHOICE. To assume is just wrong. What do you think?

Electric Vivaldi

This reminds me of a couple of conversations at Beamish's site that made Ducky's head explode. Here's one. I couldn't find the other; I think it occurred before the most recent incarnation of The Crank Files.

The House Repeals ObamaCare.

Good on them. Keep it up, I say.

The vote went down 245-189, with three Dems voting to repeal and one no vote being that of Rep. Giffords, obviously still recovering from her injuries.

Now the Senate gets to prove just how disconnected from the American people they really are and sign their own death warrants... Or they can pass repeal and pass the buck to Obama who will have to veto and sign his own death warrant.

It's going to be so much fun watching the sweating and fallout!

Weightless Cats

I know this is mean as hell, but I just can't stop laughing!

The schedule here is still heavy, I'll probably see you all on Thursday for a post of gravity.(Ba-dum-dum.)

If I feel like it, that is. ;)

ADD Moment

Meh.

After a couple of twelves and a bunch of family stuff this weekend and a busy schedule next week, I just don't have the energy to put up political-type posts.

So here's some Acid Drive:

Nothing to See Here... Move Along...

Nothing bad could happen with this:

President Obama has signaled that he will give the United States Commerce Department the authority over a proposed national cybersecurity measure that would involve giving each American a unique online identity. Other candidates mentioned previously to head up the new system have included the NSA and the Department of Homeland Security, but the announcement that the Commerce Department will take the job should please groups that have raised concerns over security agencies doing double duty in police and intelligence work. So anyway, what about this unique ID we'll all be getting? Well, though details are still pretty scant, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, speaking at an event at the Stanford Institute, stressed that the new system would not be akin to a national ID card, or a government controlled system, but that it would enhance security and reduce the need for people to memorize dozens of passwords online.

No, sir... I don't like this one bit.

Here is a picture of my girl:

Miller: Scorch-Pow!

Sunday, January 9, 2011

I am pulling a couple of 12 hour shifts at work over the weekend so I haven't had much time to post.

That said, I wish to offer condolences to the victims of the shooting in AZ yesterday and hope for the best for the survivors.

The Doctor is White and Nerdy

No politics today.

Instead, a combination of my two favorite things, The Doctor and Weird Al:

An aside: David Tennant, the tenth Doctor, was previously dating Sophia Myles, the actress that played Madame de Pompadour in the Dr.Who episode The Girl in the Fireplace.

Tennant is now engaged to be married to Georgia Moffett, daughter of Peter Davison (the fifth Doctor) and played the tenth Doctor's daughter, Jenny in The Doctor's Daughter.

Moffett's mother is Sandra Dickinson, who played Maggie in a Dr. Who radio serial The Ghosts of N-Space.

I think the universe is cracking...

Pelosi and Obama at it Again

Losing the House is Bush's fault? I know Pelosi did say that she would just keep on blaming Bush, but this is beyond ridiculous:

Amazing. First of all, I would challenge the claim that Pelosi is really a Catholic due to her stance on abortion.

And since when is lassie-faire a bad thing?

The botulism has gone to her brain, I tell you!

Meanwhile, Obama makes an asshole of himself yet again, bemoaning Gibb's "modest" gov't salary of $172,200.

How many of you guys would like to make that much in an economy with a high unemployment rate which sees the average (employed) family income at $55,000?

I suppose we should all just eat cake.

Art Imitating Life?

Or maybe Barney is a typical prog.

No wonder the House needed to have the Constitution read to them...

You Just Can't Make This Stuff Up.

As punishment for beating your wife, you are sentenced to memorize an instruction manual on how to beat your wife.

Obama is an Asshole.

That's right. A complete asshole, and that's being kind about it.

Apparently this pResident has plenty of time to vacation in Hawaii, play lots of golf and he makes sure to find the time to call the Eagle's owner  Jeffrey Lurie to commend him for giving the dog torturing bastard Michael Vick a second chance... But calling the family of a fallen soldier? Nah, that's a hassle.

We can't cut in on the the poor fellow's tee time.

Found here:

(The Tacoma News-Tribune) — The parents of a Yelm soldier killed in Afghanistan earlier this month have received cards from friends and strangers expressing condolences, and they’re grateful for the support. “As a father of someone killed, it is overwhelming,” said Lt. Col. Patrick Collins (Ret.). His son, Sgt. Sean Collins, was buried Wednesday at the Tahoma National CemeteryAmong that outpouring of empathy, two politicians inadvertently stung the family One slight came in a letter of condolences the family received from the office of Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash.

At first, the Collins family appreciated that Cantwell had taken the time to send a letter acknowledging their son’s sacrifice. But the letter misidentified the slain soldier in its last paragraph, which reads:

“Again, please accept my warmest condolences. May your memories of Bryn and the knowledge that he made a positive impact on the lives of so many serve as a source of comfort to you during this time of sorrow.”

The letter was dated Dec. 20 and delivered to Sean Collins’ mother, Linda Collins of Yelm. The error conveyed to the family that Cantwell had sent a form letter.

“They couldn’t even proofread it,” she said. “I’m sure if her son had died, she would’ve at least wanted his name spelled correctly. That’s just sloppy staff work, that’s an embarrassment,” Patrick Collins said. He has not yet called Cantwell’s office to ask for an apology.

Cantwell’s office is on short staffing for the holiday week and has not replied to an email to its press staff. The Collins family was in touch with Cantwell’s office in the capital Thursday, and was told Cantwell’s staffers were looking into the mistake.

The other slight came when Patrick Collins called the White House and asked to have President Obama call his ex-wife, Linda, to talk about their son. He was told that Obama did not regularly make phone calls to the families of fallen soldiers.

Later, Patrick Collins read a story about Obama’s phone call to Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie. Obama reportedly praised Lurie for giving quarterback Michael Vick a second chance to play football after serving time in prison for running a dog fighting ring.

“That burns,” Patrick Collins said Thursday. “Any soldier that gets killed in action, you’d think the president would be calling someone in the family. There’s no politics in it. His predecessor did it,” Collins said.

Horrible. Just awful. How many times can this family be dishonored?

Just when I think I cannot loathe Obama any more, he proves me wrong. Honestly, I don't think there's a vile enough pejorative for this shit sack.

Ritalin Turns Children Into Conservatives?

Proving once again Mr. Beamish's theory that leftists are incapable of rational thought, we have this sterling bit of liberal science:

Long time readers of this blog may remember this leftists' 'scientific experiment', proving that 9-11 was indeed Bush's fault.

It's like trying to watch a monkey figure out a clock.
