Friday Post. Yeah!

As you may be able to tell, I've been feeling a bit bored of posting about politics while waiting for Obama to be impeached and charged (Clinton, too) over the Sestak scandal, so I bring you this bit of insanity:

If you thought Bros icing Bros was genius, you're gonna love this new teen trend: pouring vodka directly onto your eyeball. The Daily Mail reported on the phenomenon a couple of weeks ago, and now it's catching on in America, according to a scary report on CBS2.

-------------------
But why? CBS2 doesn't actually have any attributable quotes in their segment, but they watched a lot of the YouTube videos and report that "the pain gives way to an instant high and then a deeper state of drunkenness."

I often feel like pouring vodka into my eyeballs when Obama opens his mouth, if only to distract myself from the pain of listening to him, but I had no idea people were doing this to get drunk really quickly. I guess waiting for alcohol to hit the bloodstream is so yesterday, and possibly going BLIND is worth it, too.  Sheesh.

And a side thought: Don't most people have a natural instinct to keep shit out of and away from the eyes?

In slightly related news, Ohio is attempting to make improvements to the concealed carry law. Hopefully, it can now get past the state's Dems:

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Firearms owners with the proper permit would be allowed to bring concealed guns into establishments or events where alcohol is served, under a bill the Ohio Senate has passed.

The measure was approved by a 23-10 vote on Thursday, despite objections from groups representing Ohio sheriffs and police chiefs. The legislation bars the concealed carriers from drinking any alcohol, but the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police says policing that will be difficult.
The bill's supporters in the Republican-led Senate say change is needed in the current law because prohibiting concealed weapons in bars and restaurants turns those places into "victim zones" where citizens can't protect themselves.

The legislation now heads to the Ohio House, controlled by Democrats.

Of course, whiny leftists bemoan how difficult it will be to enforce someone not drinking while they have their weapon with them.

It isn't. Obviously.

The people who have a CCW are responsible gun owners. I damn sure don't drink with my gun on me. I'm smart enough to know that's a bad idea. It's going to be the kind of idiots who pour vodka into their eyes that are going to drink and mess with a deadly weapon.

That said, I can go to the restaurant and not order a drink from the bar, so why can't I have my weapon with me if I'm not drinking? Enforcement is easy. If a situation breaks out that requires a CCW person to draw and/or discharge their weapon while at an establishment that serves alcohol, simply give them a breathalyzer or blood test.

Or I'll give you one easier. Ask the waitress or bartender if the dude has a tab running.

What is it with Dems that makes thought and logic go right out the window?

Did ya ever feel that the world is bent on self destruction. I drank a lot of vodka when I was younger. Pouring something with 40 or 50 percent alcohol sounds like you want a blindness disability for the rest of your life. Just use rubbing alcohol and save the vodka for someone who appreciates it.

Drinking and guns never mix. It reminds me of the line "Hold my beer and watch this". The results are never entertaining for those around who ever utters that statement.

How is it that the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police have become whiny leftists?

Are you so completely lost in your own myopia that you can't contemplate that someone might have a rational, reasonable objection to something you support?

This law relys in people in a bar behaving rationally. Good luck with that!!

USA: Sometimes, I do think so.

Walt: Get the hell outta here. If anyone is so lost in themselves as to be devoid of reason, it would be you, and you demonstrated that perfectly with your inane comment.

Not all police chiefs and sheriffs are whiny leftists. My Sheriff certainly is not, and he's very pro-carry.

And if you can't go to a bar or restaurant that serves alcohol and not wind up a staggering mess, well, that's your problem. Not everyone in the bar is imbibing, doofus.

The person in the bar with the CCW is the one behaving rationally. He/she is probably the DD, too.

*sigh*

Angel: You, too. :)

Oh, I'd definitely pour vodka over my eyes if it meant I'd never have to see him again.

I thought they were trying to blind themselves so they couldn't see what was happening to the country?

Brooke, at the risk of being attacked by someone like Walt, AZ passed a law like the one proposed in Ohio last year and then passed a law allowing lawful adults to carry concealed without a permit.

JUst as with the wodnerful law on illegal immigrants, these laws were needed in AZ. Phoenix has the highest kidnapping rate of any city in the world except for Mexico City. There is a story about home invasion or murder (and all too often both)by illegal aliens every day in AZ's major papers.

Citizens must arm themselves when our country is being invaded and the government aids and abets that invasion.

SB: It'd be worth it. Of course, you'd also have to stick an ice pick in your ears...

Chuck: Yeah. They're probably the same idiots who voted for 'the one.'

LA: Go ahead and risk it! I'm thrilled with AZ's new laws. Citizens need to be capable of defending themselves.

New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message...

1. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools.

2. All ballots will be in this nation's language..

3.. All government business will be conducted in our language.

4. Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.

5. Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office

6 Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden will be deported.

7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

8. If foreigners come here and buy land... options will be restricted. Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

9. Foreigners may have no protests; no demonstrations, no waving of a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. These will lead to deportation.

10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted &, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you.

Too strict ?
The above laws are current immigration laws of MEXICO.... Not Ours! !
These sound fine to me. NOW, how can we get these laws to be America 's Immigration Laws?

Absolutely, Mal! The ignorance and hypocrisy of the left is astounding!

At least Walt with his whining is stressing that there is a difference between whiny leftists and people capable of rational thought. He ought to get a style point or two for that.
