So Are we Asking, Now?

Honestly, I could care less if the soldier next to me is gay. I care about whether he or she can kill the enemy and has my back.

If I were gay I'd sure as hell want to go kill some Islamists, 'cause I'm one of the first on their extermination list!

What is Obama and his idiot allies thinking? Do you have to declare your sexuality upon enlisting? Do you now have to check a box saying hetero or homo?

Is there nothing more important for them to do?

Excellent post.

It's simply part of the indoctrination plan. I could care less about whether someone is gay but I don't want it shoved in my face.

From now on, Gays move to the front of the promotion line!

I think we should make a trade off. We'll make entire units of gays and tell them that if they bring down Al Quida, we'll grant them same sex unions.

This issue isn’t about private, personal behavior. I believe we must not politicize sexual preference, and we must not transform our stalwart military into a test bed for social engineering.

Our military has worked just fine for over 200 years; it isn’t broken: let us not try to fix something that requires no repair.

Let us instead consider and focus upon the purpose of our military. It is to preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States. It exists to safeguard the American people and defend our way of life.

Accordingly, we should reject any policy or regulation that diminishes our Armed Forces’ capacity to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver. This includes the recruitment of individuals who, by their presence, demoralize heterosexual men and women who wear our uniform; individuals who do not, by their presence, foster cohesive units under extreme circumstances.

Robert Gates and administration lackey Admiral Mullen are wrong about this issue. Dead wrong.

Mustang is dead on there.

We have screwed up the rest of society. The military is too important to us to do this.

I am not against gays in the military but we do not need to be recruiting them so we have enough. Anyone that insists they will not do this is a damned fool. It happens every time we start down this road.

It is worth noting that sodomy is illegal under the uniform code of military justice. It would take an act of Congress to change that not a Presidential order.

The BHO administration is always worried about pissing off Moslems, right?

Then why does this administration want to make public that there are gays in our military?

I'm sick and tired of social agendas! As Mustang pointed out:

Our military has worked just fine for over 200 years; it isn’t broken: let us not try to fix something that requires no repair.

Also, this move by the BHO administration is an attempt to garner the gay vote.

I didn't know that. As for the legalities of change in this country, since when has that mattered to Nobama and the rest of his liberal friends?!

I think we can safely say that in the thick of battle, gay soldiers aren't looking for love in all the wrong places.

Exactly. AND distract the world from the HUGE failure that his administration is up to this point.
