Your Vote Is Invaluable: Use It Wisely!

Remember when you vote today that, despite their flaws (And brother, I've got some doozies that I want addressed!), who will protect this country best.

Excerpted from the Washington Times:

LONDON -- One of the top al Qaeda operatives known to have been captured in Britain appeared in court amid heavy security yesterday for sentencing in a plot to bomb the New York Stock Exchange, the International Monetary Fund headquarters in Washington and to use a dirty bomb in London.
Dhiren Barot, 34, started plotting six years ago for a "memorable black day for the enemies of Islam," prosecutor Edmund Lawson said at the hearing, which was punctuated by a dramatic moment when prosecutors showed a March 2001 video shot while Barot was in New York. The camera zooms in to the World Trade Center and a man is then heard mimicking the sound of an explosion.

----

The criminal plot was to carry out massive explosions in Britain and in the United States, and was meant to kill "hundreds if not thousands of innocent people without warning," Mr. Lawson said.

Do we really want America to look like this?

Vote Wisely Today!

This post to remain at the top until election day. Please scroll down for additional posts.

Remember when you vote today, that the Muslims are mobilizing for the Democratic vote! That should SCREAM to any American with eyes and a brain!

Excerpted WND: (Click for the full article.)

"Of course Americans should vote Democrat," Jihad Jaara, a senior member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group and the infamous leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, told WND.

"This is why American Muslims will support the Democrats, because there is an atmosphere in America that encourages those who want to withdraw from Iraq. It is time that the American people support those who want to take them out of this Iraqi mud," said Jaara, speaking to WND from exile in Ireland, where he was sent as part of an internationally brokered deal that ended the church siege.
Muhammad Saadi, a senior leader of Islamic Jihad in the northern West Bank town of Jenin, said the Democrats' talk of withdrawal from Iraq makes him feel "proud."

"As Arabs and Muslims we feel proud of this talk," he told WND. "Very proud from the great successes of the Iraqi resistance. This success that brought the big superpower of the world to discuss a possible withdrawal."

Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas' military wing in the Gaza Strip, said the policy of withdrawal "proves the strategy of the resistance is the right strategy against the occupation."

"We warned the Americans that this will be their end in Iraq," said Abu Abdullah, considered one of the most important operational members of Hamas' Izzedine al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades, Hamas' declared "resistance" department. "They did not succeed in stealing Iraq's oil, at least not at a level that covers their huge expenses. They did not bring stability. Their agents in the [Iraqi] regime seem to have no chance to survive if the Americans withdraw."

Abu Ayman, an Islamic Jihad leader in Jenin, said he is "emboldened" by those in America who compare the war in Iraq to Vietnam.

"[The mujahedeen fighters] brought the Americans to speak for the first time seriously and sincerely that Iraq is becoming a new Vietnam and that they should fix a schedule for their withdrawal from Iraq," boasted Abu Ayman.

In a recent interview with CBS's "60 Minutes," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, stated, "The jihadists (are) in Iraq. But that doesn't mean we stay there. They'll stay there as long as we're there."

Pelosi would become House speaker if the Democrats win the majority of seats in next week's elections.

WND read Pelosi's remarks to the terror leaders, who unanimously rejected her contention an American withdrawal would end the insurgency.

Islamic Jihad's Saadi, laughing, stated, "There is no chance that the resistance will stop."

He said an American withdrawal from Iraq would "prove the resistance is the most important tool and that this tool works. The victory of the Iraqi revolution will mark an important step in the history of the region and in the attitude regarding the United States."

Jihad Jaara said an American withdrawal would "mark the beginning of the collapse of this tyrant empire (America)."

There you have it, my friends... Straight from their lips! Remember this when you touch that screen! Besides, don't you want to see the vein in Pelosi's forehead throb when she has to give her concession speech? Bwaaahaaahaaaa!

Saddam Guilty As Sin... But Who Didn't Know That, Really?

Saddam Hussein has been found guilty and sentenced to hang, leaving the despot visually shaken in court. In what is perhaps the final blow to his facade of arrogance, he was judged guilty of crimes against humanity for the mass murders of 148 Shiites in the city of Dujail in 1982.

Once a panel of nine judges reviews the case, and providing the verdict holds, Saddam will be hanged by the neck until he dies within 30 days.

While the judicial panel reviews the verdict, the trial for Saddam's murder of ethnic Kurds will begin, but if he is to executed in the interim, the trial would be stopped upon his death.

I say try him in absentia, post-mortem.

But, while the sane people of the world are heartened by this display of righteous justice, the usual gang of idiots are out vomiting their idiodicy: The Sunnis, Jordanians, and terror groups are whining, as well as Amnesty International. It seems that they think that the trial was "marred by serious flaws."

I submit that the only flaw the trial had was allowing Saddam to carry on like a spoiled toddler for most of his time in court, rather than simply removing him and allowing the proceedings to continue without his disruptive presence.

I'll bet that he got a far more equitable trial than anyone who fell under his dictatorship's judgment.

And not to be left out, the Dems are trying desperately to spin this bit of fantastic news to their political advantage:

(From NewsBusters)

Here's an antidote from an unlikely corner for all the Dem outrage at the 'November surprise' of the Saddam verdict. On this morning's 'Today,' none other than Chris Matthews just pronounced his considered opinion that the verdict actually helps . . . the Democrats.

According to Matthews, given the unpopularity of the war, anything that draws attention to Iraq hurts Republicans. Apparently that even extends to a good-news story such as the Saddam verdict.

Opined Matthews to host Lester Holt:

"One general rule would be anything that brings attention to Iraq is bad for the Republicans. I think Iraq's become a four-letter word for the voter. And this trial and condemnation of Saddam Hussein is probably going to remind us of Iraq again. It's probably going to help the Democrats to some extent."

More predictable was the analysis over at CNN, where a skeptical Susan Roesgen asked Suzanne Malveaux:

"What about critics, especially in Iraq, even Saddam Hussein's chief lawyer, who say the verdict was timed to come out just before the election to help the GOP?"

Well, if Saddam's lawyer said it, that should surely be good enough for CNN!

Roesgen continued her effort to rain on the Saddam-verdict parade in a subsequent interview of international criminal law expert Prof. Michael Scharf of Case Western law school. Asked the cynical CNN host:

"Does this turn [Saddam] into a martyr for the Iraqi people more than a monster?"

Oh yeah - huge martyr to all those Shias and Kurds whose relatives he slaughtered.

And later: "In some ways this trial has been a sideshow compared to the ongoing bloodshed in the streets of Iraq. Does this verdict really matter?"

Translation: let's get off this positive development and back to the IEDs!

I'll betcha' didn't know that we evil conservatives planned all of this to our sinister advantage, did you? Puh-lease!

I think that this Iraqi said it the best:

I was overwhelmed with joy and relief as I watched the criminals being read their verdicts. For the first time in our region tyrants are being punished for their crimes through a court of law.

Until this moment and while I’m typing these words I’m still receiving words of congratulations in emails, phone calls and text messages from friends inside and outside the country. These were our only means to share our happiness because of the curfew that limits our movement.

This is the day for Saddam’s lovers to weep and I expect their shock and grieve to be huge. They had always thought their master was immortal so let them live in their disappointment while we live for our future.

This is a day not only for Iraqis but a historic day for the whole region; today new basis for dealing between rulers and peoples are found.

No one is above the law anymore.

-- Mohammed from Iraq The Model

(h/t to Free Cyprus for the above quote)

Another bit of irony is that the very weekend of his sentencing, The New York Times accused the Bush administration of helping Iran get the plans to construct nuclear weapons by carelessly posting Iraq's nuclear weapons program documents on a government website.

Hey, wait just a minute... I thought the leftists said they never had anything like that, or any knowledge about it!

Ted Kennedy: Guilty Of Treason?

Could Senator Edward Kennedy be a traitor to the United States of America, as well as a drunk and a man who arguably got away with murder?

It seems that he very well may.

KGB Letter Outlines Sen. Kennedy's Overtures to Soviets, Prof Says
By Kevin Mooney
CNSNews.com Staff Writer
October 20, 2006

(CNSNews.com) - The antipathy that congressional Democrats have today toward President George W. Bush is reminiscent of their distrust of President Ronald Reagan during the Cold War, a political science professor says.

"We see some of the same sentiments today, in that some Democrats see the Republican president as being a threat and the true obstacle to peace, instead of seeing our enemies as the true danger," said Paul Kengor, a political science professor at Grove City College and the author of new book, "The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism."

In my opinion, this is just a symptom of the major fault of the Democratic Party: An inexplicable self-loathing which leads them to believe that America is always at fault when faced with an aggressor; that we must have done something, or committed some sort of offense to make our enemies hate us. It is impossible that we are not to blame for the hostility of hateful or envious nations.

In his book, which came out this week, Kengor focuses on a KGB letter written at the height of the Cold War that shows that Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) offered to assist Soviet leaders in formulating a public relations strategy to counter President Reagan's foreign policy and to complicate his re-election efforts.

Ladies and Gentlemen, that is HIGH TREASON, is it not? We need to look into this, and if it has any veracity, I want to see Sen. Kennedy dragged from the Senate floor in handcuffs!

The letter, dated May 14, 1983, was sent from the head of the KGB to Yuri Andropov, who was then General Secretary of the Soviet Union's Communist Party.

In his letter, KGB head Viktor Chebrikov offered Andropov his interpretation of Kennedy's offer. Former U.S. Sen. John Tunney (D-Calif.) had traveled to Moscow on behalf of Kennedy to seek out a partnership with Andropov and other Soviet officials, Kengor claims in his book.

Former Sen. Tunney should be prosecuted as well!

At one point after President Reagan left office, Tunney acknowledged that he had played the role of intermediary, not only for Kennedy but for other U.S. senators, Kengor said. Moreover, Tunney told the London Times that he had made 15 separate trips to Moscow.
"There's a lot more to be found here," Kengor told Cybercast News Service. "This was a shocking revelation."

We definitely need to find out the scope of this treacherous Democratic ploy!

It is not evident with whom Tunney actually met in Moscow. But the letter does say that Sen. Kennedy directed Tunney to reach out to "confidential contacts" so Andropov could be alerted to the senator's proposals.

Specifically, Kennedy proposed that Andropov make a direct appeal to the American people in a series of television interviews that would be organized in August and September of 1983, according to the letter.

"Tunney told his contacts that Kennedy was very troubled about the decline in U.S -Soviet relations under Reagan," Kengor said. "But Kennedy attributed this decline to Reagan, not to the Soviets. In one of the most striking parts of this letter, Kennedy is said to be very impressed with Andropov and other Soviet leaders."

Got that? Kennedy is more enamored of the COMMIES than our own leaders!

In Kennedy's view, the main reason for the antagonism between the United States and the Soviet Union in the 1980s was Reagan's unwillingness to yield on plans to deploy middle-range nuclear missiles in Western Europe, the KGB chief wrote in his letter.
"Kennedy was afraid that Reagan was leading the world into a nuclear war," Kengor said. "He hoped to counter Reagan's polices, and by extension hurt his re-election prospects."

I am aghast! Utterly aghast!

As a prelude to the public relations strategy Kennedy hoped to facilitate on behalf of the Soviets, Kengor said, the Massachusetts senator had also proposed meeting with Andropov in Moscow -- to discuss the challenges associated with disarmament.

In his appeal, Kennedy indicated he would like to have Sen. Mark Hatfield (R-Ore.) accompany him on such a trip. The two senators had worked together on nuclear freeze proposals.

But Kennedy's attempt to partner with high-level Soviet officials never materialized. Andropov died after a brief time in office and was succeeded by Mikhail Gorbachev.

In his attempt to reach out the Soviets, Kennedy settled on a flawed receptacle for peace, Kengor said. Andropov was a much more belligerent and confrontational leader than the man who followed him, in Kengor's estimation. "If Andropov had lived and Gorbachev never came to power, I can't imagine the Cold War ending peacefully like it did," Kengor told Cybercast News Service. "Things could have gotten ugly."

Reagan knew exactly what he was doing, and Kennedy actually thought that he would interfere. Thank God Almighty that he did not succeed.

In the long run of history, Kengor believes it is evident that Reagan's policies were vindicated while Kennedy was proven wrong. In fact, as he points out in his book, Kennedy himself made a "gracious concession" after Reagan died, crediting the 40th president with winning the Cold War.

The Washington Times also has an article on this, albeit Op-Ed.

The apple obviously did not fall far from the tree, either; Joseph Kennedy, (Ted Kennedy's father) met with the German ambassador in London on June 13th, 1938, who reported to Berlin that Kennedy told him that, "it was not so much the fact that we want to get rid of the Jews that was so harmful to us, but rather the loud clamour with which we accompanied this purpose. [Kennedy] himself fully understood our Jewish policy."

Wow.

I would submit to you, my friends, that if this matter is not seriously looked into that we will know beyond a shadow of a doubt who exists in the "culture of corruption." I just cannot imagine why Kennedy is allowed to sit on the Hill, a god in his own mind, beyond culpability for his actions.

Obsession: On Fox

This post to remain at the top until Saturday evening. Please scroll down for additional posts.

This Saturday, November 4th at 20:00, Fox news will be examining/showing "Obsession: The Threat of Radical Islam." I urge everyone who can to watch, and if you have one, DVR it!

From Fox News.com:

Sat., November 4 at 8 p.m. ET
Hosted by E.D. Hill

This weekend, join host E.D. Hill as FOX News examines, "Obsession: The Threat of Radical Islam."

They are the most vital questions of our time: How deadly is the Islamic terror threat to the world and especially to the United States? Do terrorists really want to destroy our economy, our civilization, our way of life or is
this just an exaggeration?

A frightening new documentary by filmmaker Wayne Kopping seeks to answer those questions. Kopping examined reels of Islamic news footage, interviewed former terrorists and obtained undercover footage from the lairs of the terrorists and jihadists.

What he found, is something FOX News believes every American should know.

It's a FOX News special that you can't afford to miss — "Obsession: The Threat of Radical Islam," Saturday at 8 p.m. ET

Victim's Rights?

Here's an appalling local story of bureaucracy trampling the rights of a victim of rape.

All red type and emphasis mine:

What one local woman called "disgusting," the Hamilton County Department of Jobs and Family Services calls regrettable, but part of state law.

So, even when law is blatantly wrong, we incompetently follow it?

Friday, the family of a local rape victim is expected to file a lawsuit against the county, because it sent a photograph of a young rape victim to the man who attacked her.

Great move, morons.

"Hamilton County child support services was at the least incompetent, and the worst very very reckless," Robert Richardson, the family's attorney, says.

Dudley Drain was convicted and sent to prison in 2003, for raping a child relative. He impregnated the girl in the attack. This spring, she applied for government assistance for herself and the baby. A county spokesperson says, because the girl was raped, she had the option to get financial help without establishing the paternity of her child. But the county says, she declined.

She obviously knew the perp, but probably never in her wildest dreams thought that the county would give the rapist a frickin' TROPHY to look at while he sits in jail!

So county workers followed policy and went to work gathering evidence to determine the father of the child. A spokesperson says, that policy includes gathering DNA evidence and photos of both parents.

According to Ohio state law, any information gathered in the process is to be sent to both parents. In this case, the victim's picture and current address was sent to Drain's prison cell. A fact that sickened the girl's family.

Does the term "extenuating circumstances" mean anything to you idiots? Are you going to give the creep visitation rights next?!?

"I'm shocked," Janel Williams, a relative of the girl says. "I'm just terrified. I'm outraged, I'm just disgusted."

She says the girl had to move out of her home because of fear that with her address, Drain or somebody he knows, would find her.

"The DNA is the strongest evidence there is," Williams says. "You don't need a picture to go along with DNA. Especially when a rapist is involved."

The county responded to Williams' concerns by changing policy and will no longer send out photographs in its paternity reports. It also contacted Ross Prison and had the report removed from Drain's cell. But any other changes, a spokesperson says, will have to be made to state law.

Which is exactly what Williams plans on doing. She is already in talks with a state lawmaker to get something done.

I, for one, hope she roasts the county. To just blindly follow policy, consequences be damned... This is yet another example of the system victimizing the victim!

New Blogger Alert!

Yesterday I was flipping through blogs using the handy little "Next Blog" button at the top of the Blogger page. This can occasionally be risky. I once hit a nude gay sex blog; I've never closed a screen so fast in my life! The last thing I wanted was a five-year old voice saying, "What's that?!?"

Not to worry, though. No harm was done, and such a situation was avoided by my lightning-fast reflexes. ;)

However, the use of the random blog button can be quite rewarding. Yesterday I found a gem who is just getting started; No Apology, and his blog of the same name.

I invite you all to visit him and give him a bit of feedback; I don't think you'll be sorry you did!

A Jihadi Christmas With Farley Towne

OK, I know it's a little early, but I figured I'd better post it before dhimmi YouTube yanks it; some tool has already flagged it!

Jesus: The First Suicide Bomber?

From The Australian-OP/ED:

Award-winning writer Richard Flanagan in his new novel, The Unknown Terrorist, dedicated to David Hicks: JESUS ... had no choice when confronted with the failure of love but to seek his own death. In his understanding that love was not enough, in his acceptance of the necessity of the sacrifice of his own life to enable the future of those around him, Jesus is history's first, but not last, example of a suicide bomber.

I guess they don't set the award bar too high, do they? For an excellent analysis of this absurdity, go to It's A Matter Of Opinion!

Isn't it funny how folks don't hesitate to attack Christianity? My guess is that they do because they know that they aren't likely to get DECAPITATED by a follower of Christ!

Kerry Waffles Again!

John Kerry, King Of the Flip-Floppers, has done it again!

Kerry 10/31/06 :

Let me make it crystal clear, as crystal clear as I know how: I apologize to no one for my criticism of the president and of his broken policy.

Kerry 11/01/06 :

As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: my poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop.

I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.

It is clear the Republican Party would rather talk about anything but their failed security policy. I don't want my verbal slip to be a diversion from the real issues. I will continue to fight for a change of course to provide real security for our country, and a winning strategy for our troops.

No More Tokin' In Israel...

It seems that the war with Hezbollah did result in one good thing for Israel: Pot smoking is on the downfall.

Of course, the sale and use of cannabis in Israel is illegal, but recently prices have gone sky high. They have increased by eight-fold; often unaffordable for the 'casual' user, due to a reduction in trafficking from Egypt brought on by increased patrols aimed at preventing Palestinians from smuggling in weaponry.

Kind of funny, huh?

Kerry: I Apologize To NO ONE!

Thanks, John. No, really; you just single-handedly cinched up a GOP victory on Tuesday with your foul insult against our honorable soldiers.

Of course, never one to stand by his words, the King of Flip-Flops claims later that it was a botched joke. Bull crap, I say. He meant every word of that. After all, this came from the man who was calling our troops "baby killers" in the '70's!

From ABC World News:

"It disgusts me that a bunch of these Republican hacks who have never worn the uniform of our country are willing to lie about those who did," Kerry added.

You want to know what disgusts me? An outright liar calling those who exposed his deceit the liars. It smacks of elementary school debating skills.

Another thing that disgusts me? Kerry thinking that his service (Did you know he's a Vietnam vet?) gives him carte blanche to insult our soldiers right now.

Another excerpt from ABC World News puts it succinctly:

A Democratic congressman told ABC News Tuesday, "I guess Kerry wasn't content blowing 2004, now he wants to blow 2006, too."

Amen, shove it in! Aren't you glad this hateful tool isn't our President? Maybe (let's all hope) that this latest bit of venomous anti-American hatred gets him out of our Senate, too! Even the most liberal of Dems are running from Kerry as if he's on fire.

Would an apology from Kerry make any difference? I don't know; I don't think it would help much, but we'll never find out if it's up to him:

From ABC News Politics:

Kerry, who is considering another run for the White House in 2008, told a hastily called news conference, "I apologize to no one for my criticism of the president and of his broken policy." But he also said the comment was "a botched joke about the president and the president's people, not about the troops-- and they know that's what I was talking about."

**UPDATE** John Kerry, King of the Flip-Floppers, has issued a new statement!

Federal Judiciary OUTRAGE!!!

Hazleton, Pennsylvania has the right idea to curb immigration: Make it unpalatable to businesses.

A law that was set to go into effect today would fine landlords found to be renting to illegal immigrants, and close down businesses found to be employing illegals. It would also allow legal employees to sue the same business for employment lost during such a shut down.

10 other towns have such laws, and 32 other towns are drafting them right now.

But Federal Judge James Munley of the U.S. District Court of Pennsylvania just issued a restraining order against the Hazleton City Council that prevents them from enforcing their new law, which is valid until Nov. 14th.

Legislating from the bench, are we 'Your Honor'?

In Hazleton, 31,000 residents are estimated to be from Central America, and of those, roughly one quarter are believed to be illegal. That's about 7,750 people, if my math is correct.

According to Judge Munley's 13 page opinion, immigrants risked "irreparable injury" by being evicted from their apartments. (Boo-hoo. Get over it and find a new place in your country of ORIGIN!) He questioned that illegal immigrants increase crime and put a burden on social services.

To hell with national statistics, I guess... When you're a judge, you can decide what is fact.

He also made this gem of a statement:

"Defendant offers only vague generalizations about the crime allegedly caused by illegal immigrants but has nothing concrete to back up these claims," Munley wrote.

How about the fact that their very presence is a crime, Judge Munley?

Oh, and guess who a few of the parties challenging the law are? The Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, Jobs with Justice, and of course, the ACLU.

No leftist agenda there, is there?
