We Three Kings

I've felt sort of blech, apathetic and unable to focus on a 'serious' post lately. Plus, I've had a lot going on at home... And it's not just gearing up for Christmas, either!

So with the total lack of will to post anything political even though there is plenty of material, I've decided to put up a couple versions of a couple of my very favorite Christmas carols.

The Piano Guys:

BNK:

And lastly, Loreena McKennit:

Merry Christmas Brooke!

Nice songs.

Christmas cheer is hard to find this year at my house.

I don't know what it is but it's just different this year.

I hope I get the feeling, soon or it will be over.

I love that rendition by Loreena McKennit -- both the sound and the images.

As for ThePianoGuys, their material is always wonderful and unique. So joyous!

Merry Christmas, Brooke. Who wants or needs politics during this Holy Season?

Keads: Merry Christmas to you, too!

USA: You'll find your cheer. I find that as Christmas comes closer, a good, warm cup of homemade wassail and the glow of the tree after the kids go to bed does it for me.

Today, we will likely go to a local farm that puts up a walk-through Bible/Nativity trail, and ends with hot chocolate and cookies being served to the children in their barn. All free and from the family that runs the farm. Such loving, charitable displays are a balm to the soul!

Check this movie out as well. I've just found it this year.

AOW: I'm glad you liked those renditions.

I can't stomach much more concerning politics right now.

And with the massacre in Sandy Hook... All of those children...

We must hold to the hope and joy of Christmas all the more tightly. I know that probably sounds cheap, but words fail at a time like this.

Very jazzy (but not Lorena)!

good stuff, Brooke...thanks.

Odd, I share the Admiral's sentiment....I put my tree up and took from its box the large red/white/blue heart ornament I've always loved ...but this time I put it back.
The heart flag isn't out this year.
I feel such anger over Obama and how miserable the next few years will be because of him and stinkin' liberals, I had no thrill in putting up my patriotic ornaments. They didn't come out this year.
My Christian ornaments are in full swing, trust me.

Merry Christmas, Brooke. xxx

I've been feeling a lack of enthusiasm over events which have brought me happiness in the past. This year it all seems forced to me. Trying to stay positive, but it's hard.

Joe: I like the earthy sound of Lorena... But I love jazzy Christmas! Jazzy anything, in fact!

Z: I hope you find comfort in the spiritual side of Christmas this year. We all definitely need it now, more than ever.

Merry Christmas to you, too!

Cube: I think we must refuse to let that funk ruin our Christmas. Libs would love nothing better!
