Shortly after this pic, the field was crowded with kids, some even doing very impressive gymnastic hand flips, and others playing soccer, football, and even a couple with lacrosse sticks showed up while we waited for the sun to go down.
Even though the forecast was hot, there was a good breeze keeping us cool. A great time was had by all... And today is my oldest's twelfth birthday!
Where does the time go?!? It seems like we just brought her home yesterday!
Here is a bit of the opening to the film. The drive in just switched to digital from film this month. They did have an excellent National Anthem which they have played for years, but it wasn't included. I don't think they were able to transfer it.
(Sorry about the sound.)

Nostalia Americana! Love it! :)
Nostalgia.... sorry. :(
Wow, I haven't been to a Drive-in in 40 years. In my teenage years we'd go to the local drive-in with two in the front seat and four in the truck.
Oh, I had me some fun at drive-ins back in the day. I miss those days, er nights.
I sure do miss those.
Great fun!
We have to go way outside D.C. to find a drive-in movie.
