Murtha: Marines Killed Iraqis "In Cold Blood"

Ex-Marine (And yes, I do mean ex, and not former) John Murtha has just accused US Marines of killing innocent civilians "in cold blood" after a fellow Marine had been killed by an IED.

"Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood," John Murtha told reporters.

On March 27th, Time Magazine (and we all know how reliable and unbiased they are) reported that 15 unarmed Iraqis died after Marines threw grenades into a suspicious home.

"It's much worse than reported in Time magazine," Murtha said.

Several Marines are under investigation, but a report has yet to be released.

So thanks, Murtha, for talking out of your *ss as usual, and stabbing our troops in the back yet again. You should be hanged for sedition, in my ever humble opinion!

It's Official: We Now Have A Lame Duck President

This one is dedicated to Elmer's Brother!

I usually don't put much faith into polls and their results. Heck, during the last election I got an automated phone call, and you wouldn't' believe how slanted the questions were.

But I did have to laugh at the latest Quinnipiac poll, taken in New York after Bush's "watershed" immigration speech on Monday. Now, I realize New York is a blue state, so bear with me.

His approval rating is now at 22%.

But that's overall. Broken down by party, he has only 50% support from his own Republican base. Ouch.

According to the Rasmussen Poll, only 39% of Americans agreed with his stance on immigration following his speech. 47% said that his proposals wouldn't work. Only 58% of conservative candidates said that they would vote for a Republican candidate.

I don't think his speech had the desired effect... I know I didn't like it!

Is Tonight The Night?

After taking last night off, Barry Bonds is set to try at breaking the Babe's record again tonight.

Of course, even when he does it won't matter, because Bonds has zero credibility!

My personal opinion is that when a player is caught corking or juicing, he should be expelled for the year, subject to weekly testing at his own expense thereafter, and whatever record he has should be expunged, so that when he resumes playing, it is more or less as a rookie.

I wonder if that would discourage 'em from using?

Daschle In '08?

Senator Tom Daschle has his toe in the water for the Democratic Presidential Nomination.

"It's just taking the next step to a more thoughtful consideration of a presidential campaign," Daschle said in an interview with The Associated Press.

Daschle said he will be traveling to states to "sound out presidential themes, talk to voters and get a sense of what kind of a reception I might be getting." He also will be campaigning for local candidates.

Daschle said that he would make his decision by the end of this year or sooner.

I think that he's got too much of a stigma to make a successful run, but hey, if he wants to try...

Aw, Geez; Can't Robertson JUST SHUT UP?

Pat Robertson, who is just 34 shy of his show, "The 700 Club," has predicted at least four times in the last two weeks that America will face punishment, possibly in the form of a tsunami this year.

"If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms," Robertson said May 8. Wednesday, he added, "there well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest."

If you hear Him right..?

Of course, this is par for the course for Robertson, who has suggested the assassination of Hugo Chavez and that Arial Sharon's stroke was holy retribution for pulling out of Gaza.

Uh, Pat...This is the Lord. Yeah, look buddy, could you maybe not try to quote me so much? I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

The Other Side Of The Illegal Immigration Coin

FBI Agents arrested Zeayadali Malhamdary (I'm just going to call him Zed from now on.) and raided his tailor shop after an undercover investigation found that he tried to obtain Mexican visas for Iranians so that they could fly to Mexico and from there cross the American border.

Zed said that he wished to help friends cross the border illegally as he did to escape religious persecution. Zed was granted refugee status in 1999.

Zed reached a plea bargain which has not yet been released to the public, and will be sentenced in August.

Let's take his story at face-value, and not assign any nefarious intent to the Iranians whom he was to smuggle into the country.

This should be a slap in the face to Iran (and Islam), that these people wanted to come here to live as they wish! Although we obviously cannot condone or allow illegal immigration, we should be waving this in Amahdinejad's smarmy face!

Israel Will Not Allow Iran Nuclear Capability.

Dr. Josef Olmert, brother of the Israeli Prime Minister, said Monday that Israel "will not allow" Iran to achieve nuclear weapons capability, and will launch a unilateral military strike to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities if necessary.

"Iran will not be allowed to get to the point where they will have the capability to destroy the state of Israel," Olmert said. "We shall prevail, and Iran will fail."

"Israel can't wait for the hope of regime change in Iran. Time is running out."

I agree with him. I know this isn't coming from the PM himself, so I'm not sure if it's something we can take to the bank, but I think he is defiantly right. Israel, and the rest of the world, for that matter, cannot wait on the EU bribery attempts, or the UN to pass endless and useless resolutions while Iran steadily increases it's nuclear capability.

Although I believe we are already in the political positioning phase of WWIII, you can bet that if Israel strikes Iran it will begin the open military hostilities.

Stop Me If You've Heard This One...

An oldie but a goodie that bears re-telling.

An American soldier, serving in World War II, had just returned from several weeks of intense action on the German front lines. He had finally been granted R&R and was on a train bound for London. The train was very crowded, so the soldier walked the length of the train, looking for an empty seat.

The only unoccupied seat was directly adjacent to a well dressed middle aged lady and was being used by her little dog. The war weary soldier asked, "Please, ma'am, may I sit in that seat?"

The woman looked down her nose at the soldier, sniffed and said, "You Americans. You are such a rude class of people. Can't you see my Little doggie is using that seat?"

The soldier walked away, determined to find a place to rest, but after another trip down to the end of the train, found himself again facing the woman with the dog.

Again he asked, "Please, lady. May I sit there? I'm very tired."

The French woman wrinkled her nose and snorted, "You Americans! Not only are you rude, you are also arrogant. Imagine!"

The soldier didn't say anything else; he leaned over, picked up the little dog, tossed it out the window of the train and sat down in the empty seat.

The woman shrieked and railed, and demanded that someone defend her and chastise the soldier.

An English gentleman sitting across the aisle spoke up, "You know, sir, you Americans do seem to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing. You eat holding the fork in the wrong hand. You drive your autos on the wrong side of the road.

"And now, Sir, you've thrown the wrong bitch out the window."

So Much For Loose Change!

Conspiracy theorists will no doubt go nuts disputing the two 9-11 Pentagon tapes showing United Flight 77 skidding into the side of the Pentagon, killing 189 innocent people.

If you've never had the opportunity to watch the Holy Grail of all the black helicopter theories, internet "movie" Loose Change... Well, if you're going to do it, have a stiff drink first, OK?

In any case, the images were released in response to the 2004 Freedom of Information Act request by Judical Watch.

I have linked to the BBC, for all of you Real Player users, since most of the news sites out there only support WMP. (I'm running one of the Core Duo Macs, and Quicktime's Flip4Mac doesn't have a plug-in available yet...GRR.) See the footage here.

If you're running Windows, see it here.

So That's Where He Got That Lame Immigration Speech...

Huh...That explains it...

Thank you to Insider Payallin for this pic!

Kiss My...

What is it with the freaks applying for the Democratic Party lately? I really do feel badly for them! I reported yesterday on the white supremacist/no Holocaust guy running in Georgia, and today I find a story about a nutter from Richmond, VA!

The Dems caught this one before he made it to the ballot, thankfully...This guy's a laugh riot!

Brad Blanton, who wanted to run for the 7th district Congressional seat in Henrico County, was beaten out by the republican candidate after running on the independent ticket, so he thought he'd give the Democratic angle a try.

Blanton is a psychotherapist who conducts nude group sessions. When Dems decided that he was less than their ideal candidate, he shot off an email that invited party leaders to, "Kiss my ass." He then continued with, "If that's not clear enough for you, call me and I'll tell you in person."

Wow! Maybe he should try a little nude anger-management on himself!

Saudi Arabia: No Women In Newspapers

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has told Saudi newspaper editors to stop publishing pictures of women, amidst fears that it may make young men "go astray."

Editors were shocked; they regard the King as a reformationist since he took office last August, having broached the issues of women having the right to vote and drive despite negative public opinion. Despite the King's purported liberal attitude, traditional Islam is a strong force, and usually kills any attempt at reform.

The media in Saudi Arabia is all either state owned or "guided."

The Okaz Newspaper quoted King Abdullah as saying, "One must think, do they want their daughter, their sister, or their wife to appear in this way. Of course, no one would accept this. The youth are driven by emotion ... and sometimes they can be lead astray. So, please, try to cut down on this."

The paper has never published a picture of a woman outside of Islamic (hijab) dress code, and never out of context with a story. Usually when a woman is depicted, it is in conjunction with a women's rights story.

Or lack thereof.

The King also told editors to stop printing stories that paint the country in a negative light.

"Don't write anything that can be harmful to the country. Some reporters, they want to stand out and they end up going too far and this should not be allowed to happen," Abdullah said according to Okaz.

The king added that newspapers should ignore the foreign press, especially when what it publishes is "against Islam or against Arabs."

Aren't we blessed to live in a country where any story can be printed, and a woman doesn't have to hide away in her home?

EU Tries To Bribe Iran

This one's dedicated to Iran Watch and American Crusader...May they surface soon!

The European Union tried to bribe Iran with a "bold package" of "incentives" if Iran will only follow IAEA recommedations that it suspend enrichment, and promise only to use uranium for energy production.

A document posted on the EU's Web site said the ministers were likely to express the bloc's "preparedness to support Iran's development of a safe, sustainable and proliferation-proof civilian nuclear program, if international concerns were fully addressed."

"We ... have nothing against Iran having nuclear capabilities, if it's strictly devoted to the production of energy, (and) we have said that we would even be ready to cooperate with that," Solana said. "What we think is not appropriate, not acceptable, is to take the other route which is not to produce energy, but to produce arms or weapons."

Of course, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad rejected the proposal out of hand, and why shouldn't he? It's just another show of European weakness.

"They want to offer us things they call incentives in return for renouncing our rights," Ahmadinejad said Sunday.

EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana was unfazed by the rejection. I suppose he's the kind of guy that just can't take a hint.

"We have said over and over again that we think a diplomatic solution is a good way, and we are going to continue on that line and ... we are going to prepare a very serious package that will make it difficult for them to say no," Solana said ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

"It will be a generous package, a bold package, that will contain issues related to nuclear, and atomic matters and maybe necessary security matters," he told reporters.

Um, Javier... I don't think he's interested in your cute little fruit-basket package.

Update: American Crusader is cutting down to the occasional post at Infidel Bloggers Alliance.

The Pope Wants Muslims To Play Nice

This just in: Pope Benedict XVI is urging Islamic countries for "reciprocity" in the treatment of Christian migrants entering Muslim areas.

This comes after Cardinal Renato Martino complained to the Pope that while Christians usually welcome Muslim immigrants with open arms, the treatment is not mutual, and Christians are routinely denied the right to worship freely or even own a Bible.

Benedict said Christians were called to "open their arms and their hearts to everyone," regardless of their countries of origin.

"Obviously, it is also to be hoped that Christians who emigrate to countries with an Islamic majority find welcome and respect of their religious identities there," he said.

"More and more the importance of reciprocity in dialogue is felt."

With all due respect, Pope...Don't hold your breath.

Democratic Candidate: Holocaust Didn't Happen

I found this news article and was amazed that it isn't getting more attention! I decided to reproduce it here, with my commentary in bold.

The Associated Press

BIRMINGHAM -- A Democratic candidate for attorney general denies the Holocaust occurred and said Friday he will speak this weekend to a "pro-white" organization that is widely viewed as being racist.

Good choice. No, really. Moron.

Larry Darby concedes his views are radical, but he said they should help him win wide support among Alabama voters as he tries to "reawaken white racial awareness" with his campaign against Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson.

Oh,oh. I think this guy has a pointy hat and a bedsheet hanging in his closet...

The state Democratic chairman, Joe Turnham, said the party became aware of some of Darby's views only days ago and was considering what to do about his candidacy.

"Any type of hatred toward groups of people, especially for political gain, is completely unacceptable in the Alabama Democratic Party," said Turnham.

Yeah. This from the party who has Robert 'KKK' Byrd in the Senate.

Speaking in an interview with The Associated Press, Darby said he believes no more than 140,000 Jewish people died in Europe during World War II, and most of them succumbed to typhus.

So typhoid fever only kills Joooos now? Huh.

Historians say about 6 mil lion Jews were slaughtered by the Nazis, but Darby said the figure is a false claim of the "Holocaust industry."

"I am what the propagandists call a Holocaust denier, but I do not deny mass deaths that included some Jews," Darby said. "There was no systematic extermination of Jews. There's no evidence of that at all."

Noooo...Except Nazi records, pictures, artifacts, concentration camp ruins that have been turned into memorials, and eyewitness accounts from survivors and Allied soldiers.

Darby said he will speak today near Newark, N.J., at a meeting of National Vanguard, which bills itself as an advocate for the white race. Some of his campaign materials are posted on the group's Internet site.

"It's time to stop pushing down the white man. We've been discriminated against too long," Darby said in the interview.

Oh, OMG. Stop right there, you crackpot. I don't buy that argument from either side of the isle.

A poll published last month indicated the Democratic race for attorney general was up for grabs. The survey showed 21 percent favored Tyson to 12 percent for Darby, but 68 percent of respondents were undecided.

So we've got 12% that are apparently yellow dog Democrats, and 68% that can't make up their minds that this dude is bad news? Is there something in the water in Birmingham?

Darby, founder of the Atheist Law Center and a longtime supporter of separation of church and state, said he has no money for campaign advertising and has made only a few campaign speeches.

Atheist Law Center. Huh. I'm ALMOST surprised. I'll bet this fool is a member of the ACLU, too.

Tyson said aside from his views on race and the Holocaust, Darby also has publicly advocated legalizing drugs and shooting all illegal immigrants.

OK, I'm against illegal immigration and amnesty, but SHOOTING them? I guess you can snort a line and go waste a Mexican for fun if this guy gets elected. Can the Democratic party excommunicate him or something?

"I am astonished as anyone has ever been that anyone is running for public office in Alabama on that platform," said Tyson. "I do not take him as a serious candidate."

Turnham said the party began an investigation last week after hearing about some of Darby's comments in a television interview. While the party supports the free-speech rights of any candidate, Turnham said some of Darby's views appear to be in "a realm of thought that is unacceptable."

"We have Holocaust survivors and families of Holocaust survivors here in Alabama, and many of them are members of the Democratic Party," said Turnham.

You guys had better run someone else FAST in the primary, and do some serious damage control. Just a little free advice...

The winner of the Democratic primary June 6 will face either Republican Attorney General Troy King or Mark Montiel, who is opposing King in the GOP primary.
