It's Been One Of Those Days...

Kidstoned for them and a cold one for me.... ;)

Count Condoleeza?

From the APF:

Hezbollah supporters place a banner showing US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and reading in Arabic: "The massacre of children in Qana 2, is the gift of Rice. The clever bombs..Stupid," in downtown Beirut.

Seems to be a theme, doesn't it: Muslims demonizing their enemies by showing them drinking blood. They appear to be obsessed with it, this blood-drinking persecution complex.

I think this poster IS sick, but not for the same reasons they do!

A Blast From The Past

Fellow bloggers, it seems that a rather lengthy previous post dated May 7th, "Islam Losing Six Million African Muslims Per Year?" is attracting new attention. Take a look at some recent comments generated so far today:

actually this dummy writter who leaved his comments in RED COLOUR
anyhow, if he is really fair answer my very simple question which is: Why converting Muslims to Christianity always correlated to the hummantration Aid !!??
They are very poor people in need to be helped by feeding them, why forcing them to convert their religion?!!
Also, when muslims were in the Authority they never forced Christians to convert to Islam, if they really forced them you wouldnt see christians alive anymore here!!
anyhow, check this site www.islam-code.com
and you find out which way you should go through!!

That is completely false. Christian aid workers do not use conversion as a currency for food aid.

Muslims, however, routinely execute those who will not convert, or force them to live in dhimmitude and pay the jizya tax.

Christians do not persevere by the grace of the Muslim; they do so by the grace of God... The same way those pesky Jews do against Hezbollah.

Oh, and BTW... Calling someone a dummy and then inviting them to check out Islam isn't exactly the best welcoming mat you could roll out. You will find that most folks on conservative sites will not submit to your mindless dhimmitude, or accept a pedophile as their "prophet."

In any case, your link is nonsense and doesn't work, much like the rest of your comment.

In the Name of God the Most Gracious the Most Merciful.

It is quite sad to note the type of blasphemy being entertained in this article and in the comments. What makes it more sad is the fact that Religion/s are being used to fuel this type of hate speech.

Religion comes back to God. Religion is therefore the way to God. If all religions emphasise the existence and power of God, then why are we fighting over the way we understand God. The truth is we all believe in the same God, but we do so in different ways. But really, God the All-Knowing, the All-Seeing knows about our different ways, yet He provides sustenance for all of us. Why can’t we then accept our differences and rather work together to common goals, rather than to point fingers at each other and to highlight our faults. How is this behaviour in anyway going to elevate the status of God?

True religion therefore does not discriminate, isolate and mock others. We have to therefore work together and be more tolerant of each other. For God says in the Quraan: “I have placed you in different nations and tribe so that you may get to know one another.” The best of you are those who are able to work with one another. Let us therefore stop insulting each others religions and rather respect our different believes.

Fellow Muslims, this is especially important for you to take note of because Islam stresses on tolerance of others and their beliefs. The example of our Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him and his offsprings) proves the best practical example for us all.

We SHOULD all work together; you are right. I pray that day will come, when the jihadis stop crying that the way to Allah is jihad, just as I pray that the Christians who live in Saudi Arabia would be permitted by law to own a copy of the Bible without fear of the law coming down on them.

However, Mohammed did not offer a practical example of peaceful co-habitation. He was a warmonger, and took children into his bed. It is his beliefs that drive Muslims today to continue an unending cycle of hate and violence.

UPDATE:

It seems that my words were not clearly understood by you. I just said that we should work together to common goals and NOT POINT FINGERS AND CRITICISE EACH OTHERS BELIEFS.

You responded: "We SHOULD all work together; you are right". Yet you continued to criticise the Muslims and their beliefs.

Clearly you have not studied the complete life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and what you are alluding to are facts misinterpreted and reinforced by the west to deliberately dehumanise Muslims. Why?

Do yourself a favour and take an objective approach to studying the life of this great personality (PBUH), whom even Christian and other non-Muslim commentators who are or were true to themselves praised. In fact he (PBUH) is regarded as No. 1 of the most greatest men of the World by a Christian author.

A good starting point is to read: "Muhammad from the earliest sources", by Martin Lings.

I did not fail to understand you; I found your words to be hypocritical. You place the yolk of peace around the west's neck, as if by some miracle us 'understanding' Islam will cause the jihadis to take off their cowardly bomb belts and join hands for a round of Kumbaya.

You continue to point fingers yourself:

"what you are alluding to are facts misinterpreted and reinforced by the west to deliberately dehumanise Muslims. Why?"

Why this hatred and finger pointing at the "west"? Perhaps you should do yourself a favor and ALSO take an objective view of OUR culture which the jihadis wish to destroy and replace with dominant Islam.

I suggest that you follow the link at the top of my blog and watch the movie Obsession embedded at the top.

After you do, please tell me how the world can continue to co-exsist with such a vile and all-consuming evil.

The Vocabulary Of Untruth

Found through A Pocket Full of Mumbles, this essay is a fabulous read. I will reproduce The Vocabulary of Untruth by Victor Davis Hanson for your absorption.

The Vocabulary of Untruth
Words take on new meanings as Israel struggles to survive.

By Victor Davis Hanson

A “ceasefire” would occur should Hezbollah give back kidnapped Israelis and stop launching missiles; it would never follow a unilateral cessation of Israeli bombing. In fact, we will hear international calls for one only when Hezbollah’s rockets are about exhausted.

“Civilians” in Lebanon have munitions in their basements and deliberately wish to draw fire; in Israel they are in bunkers to avoid it. Israel uses precision weapons to avoid hitting them; Hezbollah sends random missiles into Israel to ensure they are struck.

“Collateral damage” refers mostly to casualties among Hezbollah’s human shields; it can never be used to describe civilian deaths inside Israel, because everything there is by intent a target.

“Cycle of Violence” is used to denigrate those who are attacked, but are not supposed to win.

“Deliberate” reflects the accuracy of Israeli bombs hitting their targets; it never refers to Hezbollah rockets that are meant to destroy anything they can.

“Deplore” is usually evoked against Israel by those who themselves have slaughtered noncombatants or allowed them to perish — such as the Russians in Grozny, the Syrians in Hama, or the U.N. in Rwanda and Dafur.

“Disproportionate” means that the Hezbollah aggressors whose primitive rockets can’t kill very many Israeli civilians are losing, while the Israelis’ sophisticated response is deadly against the combatants themselves. See “excessive.”

Anytime you hear the adjective “excessive,” Hezbollah is losing. Anytime you don’t, it isn’t.

“Eyewitnesses” usually aren’t, and their testimony is cited only against Israel.

“Grave concern” is used by Europeans and Arabs who privately concede there is no future for Lebanon unless Hezbollah is destroyed — and it should preferably be done by the “Zionists” who can then be easily blamed for doing it.

“Innocent” often refers to Lebanese who aid the stockpiling of rockets or live next to those who do. It rarely refers to Israelis under attack.

The “militants” of Hezbollah don’t wear uniforms, and their prime targets are not those Israelis who do.

“Multinational,” as in “multinational force,” usually means “third-world mercenaries who sympathize with Hezbollah.” See “peacekeepers.”

“Peacekeepers” keep no peace, but always side with the less Western of the belligerents.

“Quarter-ton” is used to describe what in other, non-Israeli militaries are known as “500-pound” bombs.

“Shocked” is used, first, by diplomats who really are not; and, second, only evoked against the response of Israel, never the attack of Hezbollah.

“United Nations Action” refers to an action that Russia or China would not veto. The organization’s operatives usually watch terrorists arm before their eyes. They are almost always guilty of what they accuse others of.

What explains this distortion of language? A lot.

First there is the need for Middle Eastern oil. Take that away, and the war would receive the same scant attention as bloodletting in central Africa.

Then there is the fear of Islamic terrorism. If the Middle East were Buddhist, the world would care about Lebanon as little as it does about occupied Tibet.

And don’t forget the old anti-Semitism. If Russia or France were shelled by neighbors, Putin and Chirac would be threatening nuclear retaliation.

Israel is the symbol of the hated West. Were it a client of China, no one would dare say a word.

Population and size count for a lot: When India threatened Pakistan with nukes for its support of terrorism a few years ago, no one uttered any serious rebuke.

Finally, there is the worry that Israel might upset things in Iraq. If we were not in Afghanistan and Iraq trying to win hearts and minds, we wouldn’t be pressuring Israel behind the scenes.

But most of all, the world deplores the Jewish state because it is strong, and can strike back rather than suffer. In fact, global onlookers would prefer either one of two scenarios for the long-suffering Jews to learn their lesson. The first is absolute symmetry and moral equivalence: when Israel is attacked, it kills only as many as it loses. For each rocket that lands, it drops only one bomb in retaliation — as if any aggressor in the history of warfare has ever ceased its attacks on such insane logic.

The other desideratum is the destruction of Israel itself. Iran promised to wipe Israel off the map, and then gave Hezbollah thousands of missiles to fulfill that pledge. In response, the world snored. If tomorrow more powerful rockets hit Tel Aviv armed with Syrian chemicals or biological agents, or Iranian nukes, the “international” community would urge “restraint” — and keep urging it until Israel disappeared altogether. And the day after its disappearance, the Europeans and Arabs would sigh relief, mumble a few pieties, and then smile, “Life goes on.”

And for them, it would very well.

Babes Of Islam

From Sacred Cow Burgers:

A stinging highlight on the hypocrisy of Islam, and one of the best ones I've ever seen!

Tragedy Whore Cindy Sheehan Buys Property In Crawford

Tragedy whore/pimp Cindy Sheehan has purchased 5 acres of land in Crawford to set up "Camp Casey 3."

I know, I know... You've got a headache now, don't you? Well, it's about to get worse.

The same Cindy Sheehan who complained that she did not have the time, and due to the Army's poor death benefits could not afford to purchase a proper headstone for her son, (Leaving Casey's father to get the job done.) bought the land with Casey Sheehan's insurance money!

"We decided to buy property in Crawford to use until George's resignation or impeachment, which we all hope is soon for the sake of the world," Sheehan said in a newsletter set to be sent to supporters Thursday. "I can't think of a better way to use Casey's insurance money than for peace, and I am sure that Casey approves."

All that is bad, but I'm not done yet... Not only did Sheehan once again dishonor the memory of her son, she purchased the land under false pretenses.

Sheehan sent fellow protestor Gerry Fonesca as her agent, who falsely claimed he was a Hurricane Katrina survivor in order to get a deal on the land: $52,000, which he immediately flipped over to Sheehan for $50,000.

Ho-ho!!! So Sheehan is using the Katrina disaster to get her way! Slam-dunk; she is the indisputable Tragedy Pimp/Whore!

"If Cindy Sheehan came to town, I don't think anybody would have sold her any property," Fonseca said of his behind-the-scenes shenanigans.

Besides that, is it even legal to buy land for the sole purpose of harassing another person? If I bought an acre so I could fling insults at my neighbor as he came and went, would that not get me into legal trouble? One would think...

Of course, she may not spend much time there, considering that it must be difficult to find a Jomba Juice in Crawford!

Lactivists And Their Opposition

The latest issue of Babytalk magazine, a monthly periodical for expecting mothers and those with small children, did a feature about breastfeeding pros and cons... Pretty run of the mill stuff, really.

Except the cover shows a close up of a nursing baby and a *gasp* breast!

From CNN.com:
"I was SHOCKED to see a giant breast on the cover of your magazine," one person wrote. "I immediately turned the magazine face down," wrote another. "Gross," said a third. These readers weren't complaining about a sexually explicit cover, but rather one of a baby nursing, on a wholesome parenting magazine -- yet another sign that Americans are squeamish over the sight of a nursing breast, even as breast-feeding itself gains more support from the government and medical community. Babytalk is a free magazine whose readership is overwhelmingly mothers of babies. Yet in a poll of more than 4,000 readers, a quarter of responses to the cover were negative, calling the photo -- a baby and part of a woman's breast, in profile -- inappropriate. One mother who didn't like the cover explains she was concerned about her 13-year-old son seeing it. "I shredded it," said Gayle Ash, of Belton, Texas, in a telephone interview. "A breast is a breast -- it's a sexual thing. He didn't need to see that." It's the same reason that Ash, 41, who nursed all three of her children, is cautious about breast-feeding in public -- a subject of enormous debate among women, which has even spawned a new term: "lactivists," meaning those who advocate for a woman's right to nurse wherever she needs to. "I'm totally supportive of it -- I just don't like the flashing," she said. "I don't want my son or husband to accidentally see a breast they didn't want to see."

C'mon. It's breastfeeding, not a strip show, for crying out loud! I personally fail to see the problem with breastfeeding, as long as it is done politely, like anything else.

I breastfed all three of my kids with varying degrees of success; the third one did not thrive, so I switched very quickly to formula. I was discreet about my nursing; I did it with a baby blanket over my shoulder. Never once was I confronted by someone who said what I was doing was inappropriate, or obscene... But I was forced to listen to the inane screeching of what I call a "Nipple Nazi," (lactivist) that felt the necessity to tell me about all the damage I was inflicting on my helpless infant by force-feeding her unnatural formula.

Whatever, I told them. The baby had failed to thrive on breastmilk, what was I supposed to do, let her nurse 24/7 and still starve? They usually huffed off, convinced of their own moral superiority.

What say you, dear readers? Is breastfeeding in public flashing or feeding?

Oh, yeah... The last time I did a breast milk post, I promised the ladies some male mammaries, so here they are:

Sharia "Justice" In Action: Killing Girls

I found an appaling article at The Sunday Mirror.co.uk showing Islamic Sharia law in action.

I will reproduce it here for your reading displeasure.

23 July 2006
EXCLUSIVE: HANGED FROM A CRANE AGED 16
EXCLUSIVE JUSTICE IRAN STYLE: SICK GIRL EXECUTED BY JUDGE SHE DEFIED Her crime? She had sex with an unmarried man
By Susie Boniface
IT WAS exactly 6am and the start of another blisteringly hot summer day when 16-year-old Atefeh Rajabi was dragged from her prison cell and taken to be executed.

Every step of the way the troubled teenager plagued by mental problems shouted "repentance, repentance" as the militiamen marched her to the town's Railway Square.

The Iranian judge who had sentenced Atefeh to death was left unmoved as he personally put the noose around her neck and signalled to the crane driver.

Kicking and screaming, Atefeh was left dangling for 45 minutes from the arm of the crane as the crowd sobbed and - under their breath - damned the mullahs.

Atefeh's crime? Offending public morality. She was found guilty of "acts incompatible with chastity" by having sex with an unmarried man, even though friends say Atefeh was in such a fragile mental state that she wasn't in a position to say no.

But Judge Haji Rezaii was determined she should hang, regardless of the rules of international law which say only adults over 18 can be executed, and that the courts have a duty to children and the mentally ill.

The brutal end to Atefeh's short life has shone a new light on Iran's Shariah law, where adultery, theft and rape all carry the same punishment - death. Officially around 100 people - some just children like Atefeh - are executed each year. But human rights groups say the true figure could be much higher in a country where only half of the women can read, only one in 10 have a job and two-thirds are beaten in their homes.

Life was never easy for Atefeh, who was brought up in the industrial town of Neka, 250 miles from Tehran and close to the Caspian Sea. Her mother died when she was a child and her father Ghasseem, a heroin addict, left her grandparents to bring her up. She suffered from bi-polar disorder, which led to severe mood swings from hyperactivity to depression. Worried parents told their children to stay away from her - something many regret now. "Perhaps we should have helped her instead," said Hamid. "I think the death of her mother had a devastating effect. Before that, she was a normal girl. Her mother was everything to her. After she died, there was no one to look after her."

Mina, a childhood friend, said Atefeh was abused by a close relative. "She never dared talk about it with an adult," said Mina. "If she had told her teacher they'd have called her a whore. Tell the police? They lock you up and rape you." Atefeh first appeared in court, accused of having sex with an unmarried man at 14. Over the next two years she was accused of the same crime with different men.

They denied it and were sentenced to the lash and then released. But Atefeh pleaded guilty and each time received 100 lashes and a prison term. Mina said: "Atefeh sometimes talked about what these 'moral' Islamic policemen did to her while she was in jail. She still had nightmares about that. Atefeh said her mood swings made it easy for men to take advantage of her, and that most of her lovers were in the security force."

Two of them were members of the anti-vice militia. They encouraged other men to sign statements saying Atefeh had engaged in vice, and even claimed she had AIDS.

It was when Atefeh appeared before Judge Rezaii for a fourth time that she lost her temper - and also her life. In a rage she tore off her hi jab - a headscarf - and told the judge she had been raped and it was his duty to punish her tormentors, not their victim.

Rezaii told her she would hang for her "sharp tongue" and that he would put the noose around her neck himself. It became a personal crusade as he travelled to Tehran and convinced the Supreme Court to uphold his verdict.

Two petitions by her friends, saying she was mentally unwell, were ignored. Her father produced her birth certificate proving she was 16. Yet the judges "decreed" she was 22.

Atefeh also wrote to the Supreme Court: "There are medical documents that prove I have a weak nerve and soul. In some minutes of the day and night I lose my sanity. In a society where an insane person can be serially raped it is no wonder that a person like me is the victim of such an ugly act."

The day before she died she wrote again, saying: "Repentance, repentance, repentance." In Iranian law anyone who shows remorse has an automatic stay of execution and a right to appeal, but she was ignored.

A local pharmacist watched Atefeh's execution on August 15, 2004. "She looked so young standing there," he said. "Rezaii must have felt a personal grudge against her. He put the rope around her neck himself. I looked around and everyone in the crowd was sobbing and damning the mullahs." The family's lawyer has now filed a suit of wrongful execution against the judge and is preparing a murder case. Her life is also the subject of a secretly filmed documentary, Execution of a Teenage Girl, which will be screened on BBC2 on Thursday.

One of Atefeh's teachers said the authorities wanted to make an example of her: "She wouldn't take injustice from anyone, but the mullahs equate these qualities in a girl to prostitution and evil. They wanted to give all the girls and women a lesson."

Amnesty International UK director Kate Allen said: "The killing of Atefeh is a catalogue of the most appalling human rights violations. The public hanging of a child, believed to be mentally incompetent, totally beggars belief. To hang a child flies in the face of all that is humane."

CRUELTY OF SHARIA LAW

PENALTIES imposed by Iran's religious mullahs include:

THEF T: Amputation of hands or feet for persistent offenders.

ADULTERY: Death by stoning.

UNMARRIED SEX: 100 lashes.

CONVERSION TO RELIGION OTHER THAN ISLAM: Death.

SODOMY: Death for adults, 74 lashes for consenting child.

LESBIANISM: 100 lashes, or on the fourth occasion death.

HOMOSEXUAL KISS: 60 lashes.

RUBBING ANOTHER MAN'S THIGHS OR BUTTOCKS: 99 lashes - on 4th occasion, death.

Allahu Akbar, huh? Tell me again why we aren't wiping Islam off the face of the planet?

The '08 Elections? HA!

Cartoon Wednesday

I found a couple of good cartoons over the last couple of days.

First, we should remember that Israel absolutely has the right idea about Hezbollah. We should, under NO circumstances, allow them to survive in ANY capacity. Not only does this help our "Zionist" allies, but in the long run the strategy of cutting the tentacles of Iran off serves us well. The less influence Iran has, the better for all of the world.

The second cartoon comes in the wake of Israel accidentally hitting a U.N. observation post, killing four observers.

Some may say that this is all Israel's fault, that they shouldn't have been attacking in the first place, and that these are just more innocent deaths to attribute to the "disproportionate response."

Bull$hit, I say! What on Earth was the U.N. thinking, sending unarmed men into an unfortified position in the middle of weapons fire? If this is completely innocent, once again, the lack of common sense in the U.N. has caused more deaths.... Perhaps I should break out my tinfoil hat, but if it is as nefarious as I suspect, the U.N. sacrificed these men knowingly to give them an excuse to move against Israel.

We shall see...

Some People Just Don't Learn...

Some people either just don't learn from their mistakes, or they have a LOT of gall.

Police in Ingolstadt (Bavaria) were astonished when they saw a thief they had just released from custody steal and ride away on an officer's bicycle.

The man was arrested on Thursday for stealing purses, and was released on the condition that he report back later for a hearing.

Police, of course re-arrested the man after they witnessed him pilfering the bike.

From ChinaDaily:
"They could scarcely believe his cheek," said a spokesman for Ingolstadt police. "It's almost impossible to beat." "He claimed he thought it belonged to a friend," he added. "He won't be getting out of jail so quickly this time."

Saddam Force Fed... THEN We Kill Him!

Saddam Hussein was hospitalized and force fed with a tube on Sunday, after 17 days on a hunger strike. Officials want to make certain that he is healthy enough to continue with his trial.

Have you ever seen an intubation? Or a stomach pump, in which hospital staff cram a tube down the patient's throat into their belly and flush it with saline?

It isn't pretty, or pleasant.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

His lawyer will probably be crying torture when they reconvene!

Blogger Is....

Blogger is giving me fits! Yesterday, I couldn't get anything to load; not my page, or anyone else's. And today, I can't get pictures to upload.

So, I'll just draft everything and try again later...

Illegal Alien OUTRAGE!!!

San Luis, AZ: An illegal alien, who has no rights under our constitution, will receive a $25,000 settlement for a lawsuit he filed against the city of San Luis.

Get out your aspirin and a really stiff drink; you're going to need it.

Moises Iniguez Zermeno of Mexico was one of 11 passengers in a minivan that was speeding back towards Mexico when he was wounded by gunfire from police. According to the Border Patrol, the driver of the van had picked up a group of illegals in Mexico and crossed the border into the US, when he noticed that Border Patrol was following him. He turned around and tried to run down one of the officers that was trying to stop the van. Police opened fire.

Wouldn't you, if some @sshat were trying to run you over with a minivan?

From the AP: "The officers didn't do anything wrong; they were trying to defend themselves," City Attorney Glenn Gimbut said. Iniguez Zermeno's Yuma attorneys, James Metcalf and Hayden Hanna, would not comment.

So, Police officers are not allowed to defend themselves against murderous illegals. But wait, it gets better:

In Los Angeles, a judge who threatened deportation to Mexico for an illegal alien using our court system to file a restraining order has been fired from the roster of part-time judges used by the L.A. County Superior Court.

"A lot of people run from controversy," Fink said. "It doesn't bother me. Remember, I was doing this as a volunteer."

On July 14th, Judge Fink was amazed to find Aurora Gonzalez standing before his bench, seeking a restraining order against her husband for verbal abuse and threatening to report her to the INS. Gonzalez acknowledged that she was in the US illegally.

Fink warned Gonzalez that he would count to 20, and he expected her to be gone before that time. She left, and Fink dismissed the case.

So it takes a part-time volunteer judge with nothing to lose to do the right thing?

Gonzalez has since refiled for the restraining order, and it has been granted.

How on Earth can she go through the legal system, admit to being illegal and NOT get deported? "Experts" claim that the court has no authority to make an arrest on Federal immigration law.

Huh? Then why didn't they call the INS and have her arrested on the way out?

I'm going to go and get that drink now...

Giving New Meaning To The Term "Victim"

A sub-postmaster who was beaten unconscious and in an armed robbery was billed for half of the stolen cash from the Hertfordshire village of Upper Caldecote, UK.

Dilip Karavadra was shocked when his boss demanded half of the 6,695 Lira stolen because he had contributed to the robbery by allowing the armed robbers to jump over the counter and take the cash.

"I was fighting for my life and now the Post Office wants half of the cash back that was violently stolen from me," said Mr Karavadra who has run the post office in the Hertfordshire village of Upper Caldecote for six years.

And you thought your boss was a jerk!

Muslim Women Sport Full-Body Swimwear

Just because your husband won't let you out of the house without a burqa doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to take a dip on a hot day! After all, you've got to keep up that girlish figure underneath that circus tent Mohammed makes you wear!

In Places where traditional Muslims frequent, the Hasema swimsuit is gaining popularity. The swimsuit consists of a full-body suit, with a hood that is pulled over a tight bonnet. A sarong-like wrap covers those curves. Before, women did not visit the beach or pool, and if they did they would have to remain on the sidelines while the men and children swam.

Women's lib, huh? Soon, they'll be *gasp* reading!

Hasema, the leading manufacturer, is having a hard time keeping up with demand. They say the latest model of swimwear allows the sun through the fabric, so the wearer can even get a tan.

I wonder if tans are haram?

From the Telegraph:

As well as the growing enthusiasm for the full body swimsuits, Muslim camping sites, spas and beach resorts that do not sell alcohol and segregate men and women have sprung up. For example, the Caprice Hotel, on the Aegean coast, advertises "a modern vacation complex... where the sound of prayer is heard five times a day".

Well, sign me up! Can one use their beach towel as a prayer rug? Just asking...

The Definition Of Ingrate

This story is a stunning culmination of the ingrate, spoiled brat children we as a litigious society are producing.

Madison, Wisconsin:

Carriel Louah, 25, of Illinois is suing her Wisconsin parents after falling and breaking her ankle in their driveway.

Louah showed up for a surprise visit for her mother's birthday. After slipping and injuring herself, her mother felt badly and wrote Louah a letter apologizing for the incident.

End of story, right? WRONG!

Louah filed suit for $75,000 in damages for medical bills and lost wages, claiming that the letter proved her parents knew they had an icy driveway and faulty drainage system, and did nothing about it.

The parents say she can't prove it.

Tell 'ya what, you little brat... How about if you NEVER show again, and you won't have to worry about your parent's driveway. And while your at it, Illinois may not be far enough away from Wisconsin. How about you move to Nevada, where there isn't any ice... Just looking out for you, you sniveling, greedy little. *ahem*.

The best part of the story... A federal 'judge' refused to toss out the lawsuit, saying that a jury should decide the matter in November.

Cartoon Friday, And The BIG "S" Word

I found a couple of funny cartoons today.

We haven't heard anything from PETA lately. They must be underground, fervently planning the next fried chicken offensive.

The MSM is raking the President over the coals for using the "s" word at the G8, in what he thought was a private conversation. I have my own thoughts as to why the media seem to frequently leave their mics on when they aren't supposed to be, but that's another topic.

This, of course, comes from the same MSM that tried to give President Clinton a pass for adultery!

Let's see... Getting caught having illicit, extramarital sex in the oval office... Getting caught saying "shit."

Not much of a comparison, huh?

Muslims Support Israel!

Thank you to Daddio's Dark Side for this incredible picture!

We do indeed need more Muslims like this!

Super-Hero Stamp Collection

The Post Office is all set to start selling D.C. super-hero themed stamps today.

I say we all slap a Superman stamp on an envelope and start a mail campaign to Luxor and Dubai... It'll scare the crap out of 'em!

Two British Muslims Get Life For Honor Killing

Southall, England:

Azhar Nazir, 30, and his cousin Mohammed (surprise, surprise), 17, got life in prison for the "honor killing" of Samaira Nazir.

Azhar decided to murder his sister for honor's sake after she had the audacity to fall in love with and decide to marry a Afghani immigrant to Britain, rather than someone in the Pakistani "family circle."

I can't say I blame her.

Nazir told the Afghani: "We can get you anywhere if you get married, even if you are not in this country." They also told him that they believed only wanted to marry Samaira for her family's money.

Once Samaira found out, she tried to speak to her mother regarding what her brother and cousin had done, and an argument broke out.

Her two young nieces witnessed Samaira trying to leave the house in the middle of the argument with her mother, when her brother and cousin dragged her back into the house and stabbed her 18 times, until she was dead.

A neighbor heard Samiara screaming, and went to the door where the mother covered for her murderous son; she told the neighbor that Samira was simply "having a fit."

While these two sub-human scumbags received life sentences, unfortunately in Britain it means that they will be eligible for parole in 20 years for the Nazir, and 10 for Mohammed.

Said the Judge: "You claimed to have loved your sister but were guilty of orchestrating her murder.

The area Director of the Crown Prosecution service, Mr. Afzal, released this statement: "Samaira was murdered because she loved the wrong person, in her family's eyes. In that sense, it was an honour killing to protect the perceived status of the family, to mark their disapproval."

I hope they rot.

Irish Kangaroo

A kangaroo escaped from a circus yesterday near Kinsale, Ireland. From Reuters:

"This kangaroo broke loose just before the show while they were bringing him from the cages to the arena. He decided to take a walk," said local farmer John Walsh on whose land the 2-year-old male, named Sydney, made his break for freedom.

Hehehehe... The locals are calling him "Hoppy."

"He would be happy out there and he'll have plenty of grass, plenty of water and plenty of sunshine," Walsh told Reuters on Wednesday as Ireland basked in near record temperatures more typical of Sydney's native Australia than Ireland's temperate maritime climate.

I don't know why, but I just find this incredibly funny!

Worst. Job. Ever.

You think your job sucks?

From the AP:

Athlete Kathy Brennan (R) of Washington, D.C., helps to apply tanner on Forrest of Ferndale, Michigan, before the Physique competition during Gay Games VII in Evanston, Illinois, July 18, 2006.

OK, so you guys out there might be thinking to yourselves, "AWWW YEAH," right about now.

But picture yourself, with your head halfway up Arnold's butt, and you can see how I find this pic... Um.... Less than appealing.

But they are at the Gay Games VIII, so I guess that it's all good for these two! Ugh.

Black Ops? Whatever...

Dedicated to Eyes All Around...;), Our resident expert on leftie "science."

I was flipping randomly through Blogger the other day, when I stumbled across an extreme moonbat blog.

9-11 WAS THE MOTHER OF ALL BLACK OPERATIONS

At first I thought to myself that it was a clever and wry piece of satire, but as I continued to read, I had the queasy feeling that it was a little too dry.

I think he's serious.

I get a mental image of this guy sitting in his Mom's basement, where he lives, surrounded by reams and reams of paper containing news clippings, scribbled nonsensical mathematic equations, and hand-written "evidence" against the government. He will continue to escalate until his mind makes the final 'snap', and will have an epiphany culminating in an assassination attempt on a government official.

Either that, or he will be compelled by the court to start taking his anti-psychotic drugs again.

He kind of reminds me of the Brownstain, actually.

'Da Bomb.

I wonder what Iran is doing right now... Heh.

Murderer Of Two Mutilated U.S. Soldiers Killed!!!

Are you ready for some good news? Some fanastic news that will make your day?

(Curiously, I watched my local news station for about thirty minutes this morning, and not a peep regarding this story...)

Suspect in Slaying of U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iraq
Tuesday, July 18, 2006

Diyar Ismail Mahmoud, known as Abu al-Afghani, was identified as the killer of the two soldiers, National Security Adviser Mouwafak al-Rubaie told reporters. The two soldiers' mutilated bodies were found after they were captured in a clash near Youssifiyah, southwest of Baghdad.

A third American was killed in the clash.

Al-Rubaie did not say when Mahmoud was wounded or died.

The bodies of two soldiers from the 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division were found on June 19 not far from a checkpoint on the Euphrates river south of Baghdad where they were abducted.

The discovery of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca of Houston and Pfc. Thomas Tucker of Madras, Ore. — both of whom were badly mutilated and at least one beheaded — came after exhaustive searches with thousands of soldiers fanning out in an area south of Baghdad known as the "Triangle of Death" because of frequent attacks.

A third soldier, David J. Babineau, 25, of Springfield, Mass., was found dead at the checkpoint where the soldiers were killed two days before.

The three were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment — the same unit as five soldiers and one former Army private now facing charges in the alleged rape and murder of a teenage girl in Mahmoudiya last March.

The Mujahedeen Shura Council, an umbrella of extremist groups, claimed in an Internet statement that the three soldiers were killed last month in retaliation for the rape-murder. U.S. officials say they have no evidence to substantiate the claim.

The killing of the Americans followed the June 7 death of Al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in a U.S. airstrike northeast of Baghdad. Mahmoud was a top al-Zarqawi lieutenant, al-Rubaie said.

During the news conference, al-Rubaie also said security forces detained the leaders of the Omar Brigade group, a wing of Al Qaeda in Iraq that had claimed to have carried many deadly attacks throughout the country.

He identified the group's leader as Jassim Mohammed, known as Abu Othman, his deputy Abu Aisha, who was in charge of financing the group, and Abu Ihab, who was in charge of recruitment. The fourth was Abu Islam, who was in charge of religious affairs, al-Rubaie said.

"The Omar Brigade is one of the death squads," al-Rubaie said, adding that the group was responsible for the deadly bombing in Baghdad's eastern neighborhood of Sadr City on July 1 that killed 66 people.

Al-Qaida in Iraq announced last year that it had formed the Omar Brigade to fight the Shiite militias. The group claimed to have killed many Shiite militia leaders since then.

He refused to say where they were detained for security reasons but added that the operation was carried out by Iraqi and multinational troops.

"This is a major blow to Al Qaeda itself because this is a division that was trying to drive a wedge between Shiites and Sunnis," he said.

And this in from the AP:

By The Associated Press

BAGHDAD (AP) - A Jordanian who killed and mutilated Army Pfc. Thomas Tucker of Madras and a fellow soldier last month has been fatally wounded in a clash with Iraqi security forces, a senior Iraqi official said Tuesday.

Diyar Ismail Mahmoud, known as Abu al-Afghani, was identified as the killer of the two soldiers, whose mutilated bodies were found after their capture in a clash southwest of Baghdad. A third American was also killed.

The Iraqi official said Mahmoud was a top lieutenant of al Qaida-in-Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who was killed by a U.S. airstrike in early June.

The discovery of the bodies of Tucker and Pfc. Kristian Menchaca of Houston were abducted at a checkpoint during a clash with insurgents. Their bodies were found after exhaustive searches with thousands of soldiers fanning out in an area south of Baghdad.

A third soldier, David Babineau of Springfield, Mass., was found dead at the checkpoint where the soldiers were killed two days before.

A murdering terrorist scumbag killed? It's gonna be a good day!

You've Got To Kill The Roots To Kill The Weeds.

We should be augmenting the good work that Israel is doing by starving Iran through sanctions, and military force, if necessary. Let's not forget that her leader is a madman who firmly believes in the return of the Mahdi; the Islamic version of the end times, and is working at the behest of the evil Mullahs to bring that twisted reality to bear.

If At First You Don't Succeed...

Seems to be the politicians' solution to all of our problems, huh? Too bad it doesn't work and it costs us all higher and higher taxes.

The Goat Woman Bleats Again!

(I just never get tired of this pic!)

Tony Snow gives Helen Thomas yet another verbal whoopin'!

You'd think that by now, she would either give up, or the news agency which employs her would be SO embarrassed by her that they would strongly suggest that she retire...

Israeli Purpose Clear; Arabs Panicking

As everyone knows, the battle between Israel and Hezbollah rages on. I, for one, hope that Israel eradicates the Hezbollah infestation that has been plaguing her, and it seems that Ehud Olmert is determined to do just that.

In a statement yesterday at the Knesset, Olmert said that although Israel has been continually threatened, she will not back down from fighting terrorists.

From Arutz Sheva:

"Our enemies were mistaken to think that our desire to show restraint was a sign of
weakness," Olmert boomed. In a reiteration of his refusal to negotiate with Hizbullah or Hamas prior to the release of the kidnapped soldiers, Olmert said: "It is of regional and international interest to control and dismantle the terror organizations and remove this threat from the Middle East. We intend to do so." Olmert explicitly pointed the finger at Iran and Syria, saying Hizbullah and Hamas "are nothing but emissaries, sent and supplied by enemies of peace in Tehran and Damascus." He also said that even if Lebanon had involvement in last Wednesday's attack on an IDF patrol along the northern border, which killed eight soldiers and resulted in the kidnapping of two others, "it holds full responsibility for the attack launched from its sovereign territory and the same goes for the PA with regard to the Kerem Shalom attack." "Opposite the Palestinians we will fight until terrorism ceases, Gilad Shalit is brought home and the Kassam rockets stop," Olmert said. "We will attack every terrorist staging area, destroy every terrorist base and liquidate members of the terror groups. Israel will not agree to live in the shadow of the threat of missiles and rockets on its citizens! Our position in the north was backed up by the G8 yesterday," he continued. "We demand a complete end to hostilities, the return of the two kidnapped soldiers and the compliance with the relevant UN resolutions. We withdrew to recognized borders according to the entire international community." Olmert recited the Mishebeirach, the prayer for Divine protection for the IDF during his speech from the Knesset podium. "I am more proud today than any other day in my life to be a citizen of the State of Israel," Olmert concluded. "We will not surrender and we will not back down."

I must admit that with the Gaza withdraw, and Ehud Olmert taking office with a seemingly mousey attitude, I was worried about whether or not Israel would be bullied by her Muslim neighbors. However, this looks like a good sign that Olmert's resolve is firm.

And while thousands rally outside of the UN building in New York to show support for Israel (I'm sure Koffe Anon is just loving that!), in Sydney, Australia over 1,000 Aussies signed a petition in support of Israel. In Berlin, however, more than 1,000 Lebanese and Palestinians in Germany staged an anti-Semitic protest outside the Brandenburg Gate on Monday. Demonstrators chanted "death to Israel," "down with the USA" (Hey, waittaminute! How did we get included with this?) and "death to Zionists," while carrying signs that said things like "HypocriSyria," and images of the Hezbollah leader.

Ironically, the 'protest' took place very near to a Holocaust memorial.

While all of this demonstrating was going on, Iranian Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi made a snide little comment to the media:

"Today, the global axis of evil: the U.S., the Zionists, and Britain; are showing their true colors of world devouring and exploitation through their occupation and the killing of defenseless people."

Huh? Defenseless? I guess those Khartoum rockets are firing themselves into the civilian Israeli population.

Safavi went on to promise Israel "disgraceful defeat" if they don't stop attacking Hezbollah.

"The problem of the usurper regime of Israel is that it is facing a powerful and invisible army called the Islamic resistance Hezbollah of Lebanon. It is better if the Zionists end their attacks on the Gaza Strip and against Lebanon and release Palestinian and Lebanese prisoners to reach a ceasefire before they face a disgraceful defeat", Safavi said.

HAHAHAHA!!! I know, I know... Your head is about to pop off your shoulders! But wait, it gets better: Safavi also said that the US gave Israel permission to attack Lebanon, claiming that "The US created this event to cover up its defeat in Afghanistan and Iraq."

HAHAHAHA!!! He sounds a lot like Baghdad Bob, doesn't he? We are defeated, and Israel is saving face for us and at the same time quenching their thirst for Muslim blood? Whoo-hoo, it doesn't get more rich than that!

Yet despite Israel's supposed impending defeat, and the"powerful and invisible army called the Islamic resistance Hezbollah," Iran stated in their weekly press digest that they would support "comprehensive plans" to end the fighting in Lebanon, under the condition that the "legitimate demands of the resistance (Hezbollah) were realised." Of course. Leave it to Iran to give us ultimatums. Who would've seen that one coming?

But why bother, Iran? The "Zionists" are destined by Allah to win, right?

President Bush advised the Arab League (Anyone else notice how similar their flag looks to the U.N.'s?) yesterday that the conflict in Lebanon is not likely to be resolved until Israel eliminates the Hezbollah threat.

One senior Arab diplomat said the answer lies in Washington: "Just like only [President] Nixon could go to China, only Bush can push Israel."

I don't see how. Isreal has taken our advice to "show restraint" long enough, and look where it's gotten them. They aren't going to stop until they are secure.

From CNN.com:

The Arab League -- plus, in separate statements, Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia -- put the onus on Hezbollah for igniting the violence. But now Arab diplomats are afraid this is being used as justification for the continued Israeli operations in Lebanon. The longer the operations go on, diplomats say, it will be increasingly difficult for Arab leaders to put the blame on Hezbollah, because ongoing violence will fuel anti-Israeli public opinion in their countries. Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit and Intelligence Minister Omar Suleiman are in Washington and plan to meet with Rice and other U.S. officials Tuesday. European and Arab countries are making a big push for deeper U.S. engagement -- specifically a tougher stand with Israel. While they understand the United States has asked Israel to be selective in targeting infrastructure and to strive to protect civilians, Arab officials said the pictures airing on news channels indicate this is not happening, and the United States is seen as giving Israel a green light.

Let me get this staight. They want us to push Israel to "show restraint," but NO ONE is willing to tell Hezbollah to cut it out?

Also, I thought we are the 'Great Satan.' The Arab League must be pretty damned desperate to try and cut a deal with the devil.

I just hope the U.N. keeps it's nose out of the Israeli's business... They are considering deploying a "stabilizing force" on the Lebanese/Israeli border.

Uh-huh. I'm sure that will be totally fair. Anyone else think that the stabilization force wouldn't be on Hezbollah so much as the "Zionists"?

Hold on to your hats, folks... This is set to get a lot more interesting!

Um... NO Thank You, Jesus?

A Honolulu man was thrown in jail for contempt of court after his acquittal last month.

Junior Stowers, was acquitted by a jury of a misdemeanor count of abusing his son. The boy, 15, was apparently angry with his father, and claimed that his dad struck him with a broomstick. He later recanted, once the rest of the family testified that the boy's brother had accidentally slammed the car door on him.

Let's ignore the absurdity of this sort of thing even going to court in the first place, and the unmitigated gall of the government attempting to tell a father how to raise his own children. I could go on and on about that topic alone, and I'd rather not get into it at this point.

The most incredible thing about this story is the contempt charge. What did Stowers do to deserve it?

He raised his hands after the verdict was pronounced, and exclaimed, "Thank you, Jesus!"
'Judge' Patrick Border quickly held Stowers in contempt in a jail cell for six hours before granting him another hearing, and then dismissed the misdemeanor charge and released
him.

From MSNBC:

Stowers couldn't be reached for comment. But his attorney in the contempt case, Deputy Public Defender Susan Arnett, said he wasn't treated fairly. "I don't think there's anything about saying 'Thank you, Jesus' that rises to the level of contemptuous behavior in this case," she told The Honolulu Advertiser. Stowers is a devoutly religious man active in his church who spontaneously expressed his thanks to the higher power in which he believed, she said. Family members and Stowers' pastor at Assembly of God Church, Iakopo Sale, who watched from the gallery were "very upset that those words could land somebody in jail," Arnett said. Border declined to comment but indicated the court minutes reflected his actions. The minutes showed he found Stowers' "nonverbal gestures and outbursts to be disruptive and improper regardless of content." Court minutes said Border later dropped the charge because he realized Stowers' trial lawyer, Deputy Public Defender Carmel Kwock, did not have time to tell Stowers the judge had ordered both sides not to show emotion when the verdict was announced.

Uh-huh. I'm not buying it.

Darn that pesky little First Amendment, huh, 'Judge' Border? And so much for that whole "unlawful imprisonment" thing too: It only took Border six hours of his dear sweet time to release Stowers. Sounds a little like discrimination and baseless punishment to me.

Don't worry, though. I'm sure the ACLU is preparing a lawsuit against the Honolulu courts as we speak.

Space Vacation

Hello, Acme travel agency? Yes, I'd like to book a space cruise.

Maybe it's not so far off. Virgin Group claimed yesterday that it is on track to launch the first tourist space flights in 2008 and has sold tickets to 150 waiting passengers.

A single space flight ticket will cost you $200,000.

The flights themselves are sub-orbital, and the space plane will be reusable. The plane, dubbed White Knight One, achieves altitude while attached to a larger carrier vehicle, White Knight Two, which detaches at 50,000 feet. WK 1 then accelerates into sub-orbital space, where it will remain for 15 minutes, five of which are weightless.

I wonder if I can come up with a quarter-million dollars in two years...

The Big One

Posting Snafu: It seems that the last post (Motivations of Islam) messed up my template somehow. Suddenly, everything in the sidebar was gone, and only half of the most recent post was visible. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to delete it.

That isn't the big thing happening this weekend, however:

Today, our youngest daughter turns ONE YEAR OLD!!!

That, coupled with pediatrician checkups tomorrow for Genna, and our oldest, Aileen, who turned five last month means light posting for the weekend and Monday.

How Do You Get Peace.... With A Knife!

How do we get peace, dear friends?

As the Middle Eastern Arabs understand it, through force. To them, diplomacy is a tool of the weak; a stall tactic to be used while they strengthen their positions.

Israel is committed to repel the Hezbollah terrorists. They have had enough of the kidnapping, the rocket fire, the threats...

And can we blame them? Why should the world defend itself from terror, yet expect the Joooos to lie down in a fetal position and take Hamas and Hezbollah's kicks? Is there a more hypocritical statement than the one made by "Sheik" Hassan Nasrallah, who says that if Israel wants all-out warfare, then they will give it to them?

As I recall it, Hezbollah was the one doing the unprovoked kidnapping.

I don't know why, my friends, but I don't yet think that this current crisis will launch us into unmitigated world warfare. I believe that Israel will rout the terrorist Muslims in Lebanon, since the government there has no real power beyond the Hezbollah group. The UN will then have no choice but to starve off Syria and Iran.

Yes, oil might get pretty damn expensive in the interim, but it was going to anyway, really. It will simply be more sudden, and in my humble opinion, (and at the admitted risk of sounding like a filthy libbie) the faster it rises, the better. The sticker shock and outrage of the American people will force the hands of our politicians into ANWAR drilling and nuclear plant building. We could also use a kick in the pants.

Muslims in the Middle East have put the Islamic Theocracies into a tailspin, and we are in the grandstands on the ground, looking up into the sun and just beginning to make out their imminent crash.

I just hope the debris doesn't hit the stands.

That being said, this NeoCon is not afraid to get down and dirty if need be. If this is truly 1939 all over again, we should not wait around for the situation to get dire before we intervene.

All opinions on this unfolding matter (except those of the moron John Brown) are welcome as always, of course!

Terror In India

We aren't the only ones with terror problems; India has it's fair share, too.

Yesterday, during rush hour in New Delhi explosions ripped through commuter trains at 18:30.

The body count is now up to 190, with hundreds injured. No one has claimed responsibility, but it doensn't take much brain power to connect the dots: Muslim terrorists. Al-Qaeda is active in India, and the train attacks came only hours after a grenade attack in Kashmir.

There are two Islamic terror groups the U.S. affiliates with al-Queada that are prolific in India: Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

From USA Today:

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called an emergency Cabinet meeting after the attacks. "We will work to defeat the evil designs of terrorists and will not allow them to succeed," Singh said in a statement. "The government will take all possible measures to maintain law and order and defeat the forces of terrorism." Home Minister Shivraj Patil said authorities had received some information that a terror attack was coming, "but place and time was not known," the Associated Press reported.

Dozens of militant Islamic groups have been fighting Indian rule in Kashmir, demanding independance, or a merger with Pakistan, for the majority Mulsim population. India suspects Pakistan of giving aid and comfort to the militants.
President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz offered condolences over the loss of life, the statement said. "Terrorism is a bane of our times and it must be condemned, rejected and countered effectively and comprehensively," it said.

Anybody think that we aren't in WWIII?

Mooooslims At Mealtime

Cube has an eye-opening post on the futility of the Muslim woman's daily life.

My Big Doggie

Yesterday, I tried to cut off my dog's foot.

O.K., not really. I was trying to clip her toenails... She flinched, I slipped, and there goes half the nail.
A minor bloodbath ensued, yet Fortune didn't cry or panic. She laid calmly on the floor with her head in my lap while I applied pressure and held the foot up in the air.

Of course, my guilt meant she got about one third of human food on my dinner plate. (I don't normaly allow table scraps other than whatever the kids drop, so this was a nice treat!)

She's such a sweetie... As long as you stay off her couch! ;)

We adopted Fortune about six months ago or so. She is a one-year-old Great Dane that was reposesed by her breeder for abuse. The previous owner, a vet tech, kept her in a cage 23 hours a day. She was only allowed out to eat and potty. The breeder was teaching her basic doggie manners, such as how to respond to her name, how to sit, ect. The vet tech hadn't bothered.

Fortune got her name from the breeder... Miss Fortune is her full name. When she was a baby, her mommy sat on her back leg, breaking it. (Danes are a bit clumsy! ;) ) It required a pin, but healed so nicely that you can't see any lameness at all. That coupled with the abusive vet tech, earned her the moinker.

Despite all of this, Fortune is a gentle giant; she can be puppily (Yeah, I made that up.) playful one moment, and the next she is walking on eggshells around our 11-month-old daughter. She "counter surfs," but only when she thinks we're not looking, and sleeps on the loveseat while we watch T.V. (Or blog!) She only chews on her Kong Toy, and eats the occasional treat with gusto.

She's also one heck of an alarm system... Just try stepping foot in her yard without being noticed!

If anyone out there is considering a big dog, I suggest a Dane... and there are plenty of Dane adoption agencies out there to choose from!

Anti-Chavez Video Game Funded By Bono

Ya gotta love Bono. (He's a hawt Irishman, after all! ;) ) He's making liberal heads pop like over ripe melons!

Bono is backing a video game that depicts Venezuela as a two-bit republic led by a power-hungry despot... Which sounds a lot like the hero of the left, Hugo Chavez.

Bono established the private equity firm Pandemic Studios, maker of the game in question: "Mercenary 2: World in Flames."

The player takes the role of a mercenary sent to Venezuela, where a dictator has seized control of the country's oil.

Despite Bono's lengthy record of third world relief, and humanitarian efforts, liberals are taking pot shots at the singer.

"It's hard to fathom why an artist who claims to be about new paths to justice for developing countries would be mixed up in a computer game that glorifies stale, old mercenary approaches," said Jeff Cohen.

I guess the left doesn't like to see their precious hero besmirched, no matter how true it is.

And David Lindorff, co-author of the new book "The Case for Impeachment," *snicker* said: "This kind of right-wing war game plays to the propaganda message that the Bush White House has been pushing for years: that Chavez is a dictator oppressing his people . . . Bono should use his financial interest in the company to kill it, or better, he should pull out entirely as an investor."

Lindorff called the video game "imperialist garbage."

Funny... Speaking of imperialism, Chavez has (among other things) tcontrolntoll of the media, rewritten Venezuela'constitution to increase his power, disposed of critics in the military, and has used the country's most valuable resource (oil) to tighten his strangle hold on the country. Venezuela's highest ranking Catholic prelate has called him a dictator.

But facts be damned.

The UN Is Responsible For Terror Victims' Deaths

Israeli terror victims' families claim that their loved one's deaths are the fault of the U.N., who helped to fund the killers through Saddam Hussein.

"The U.N. is partly responsible for the death of my son," said Miri Avitan, whose son Assaf was killed in Jerusalem by a Palestinian suicide bomber in December 2001.

"Money that was meant for the Iraqi [people] got to Saddam and he wrote a check to reward the murderers of my kid," Avitan said.

Several families blame the U.N. for giving Saddam money in the corrupt "oil-for-food" program, which was then kicked back in a check writing program by Saddam to Palestinian terror organizations. A homicide bomber's family would receive money after the act.

Israel has said the aid received from Hussein provided major financial motivation to underprivileged teenagers who could help their cash-strapped families with the large payments that would be issued upon completion of a suicide mission.

The oil-for-food program made more than $67 billion before the U.S. put an end to it in 2003. From 2000 to 2003, Saddam paid out $35 million to the families of Palestinian "martyrs" through the Arab Liberation Front, a Ba'ath party branch formed specifically to encourage terrorist activities and issue checks to terror families. The families would receive a "martyrdom certificate," and $25,000 for the murder of the "Zionists."

From World Net Daily:

"[The checks from Hussein enabled by the U.N.] helped enforce the culture of terrorism," Avitan's mother Miri said in "The U.N. Exposed." "It makes me furious."

Writes Shawn, "The U.N. Security Council paid for the bombings. It contributed to the murders of Assaf and Golan and the nine other victims that night. The Security Council also provided the ability to massacre hundreds more who have fallen victim to Palestinian terrorism."

PROFESSOR Dan Rather? Oh, Geez...

Former (ha ha ha) CBS anchor Dan Rather, who left the news agency after producers decided not to give him any more assignments, is reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer and Boston Herald as being considered for a teaching position at Harvard University.

No, I'm not kidding.

"I'd love to have him come here for a semester or full year on campus," Alex Jones (head of the Shorestein Center of Press, Politics and Public Policy) told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Dan Rather has all the credentials, as far as I'm concerned."

Sure... No ethics whatsoever, and he's deeply mired in the insane left world of folks like Michael Moore. Sounds like all of the right credentials to me.

Jones told the Boston Herald, "I think that Dan Rather has demonstrated over a long career that he is a superb journalist and that he has more to say and more to do. ... I think that he should take this as an opportunity rather than a loss."

Rather, as you will remember, stood by his false National Guard memo story an entire year after it was disproved.

"I believed in the story. The facts of the story were correct," Rather told former newsman Marvin Kalb. "One supporting pillar of the story, albeit an important one, one supporting pillar was brought into question. To this day, no one has proven whether it was what it purported to be or not."

To be sure of what he was just told, Kalb responded, "I believe you just said that you think the story is accurate."

"The story is accurate," Rather reiterated.

If he accepts the fellowship teaching position, Rather would make $15,000 per semester, plus living expenses. Pretty sweet, huh?

Not everyone is happy about the offer, though.

"After Rather's fall from grace the idea of him teaching at Harvard is both laughable and yet not totally unexpected," said Don Irvine, chairman of Accuracy in Media. "It is outrageous that they would give him a platform considering how Rather's career ended but it is the politically correct nature of academia that allows this type of action to take place."

Irvine continued, "I suggest that Rather teach a course on media ethics, since he apparently has none to help students avoid his mistakes or investigative journalism and the importance of checking facts and verifying the credibility of sources. Maybe that would humble him a bit. Probably not."

HAHAHAHAHA!!!

The History Of Illegal Immigration

The Immigration Debate

I'm not sure how THIS made it onto Al Gore's T.V. channel... I thought it was dripping with anti-illegal immigration sarcasm.

Fasting Shouldn't Be Tough....

Not if you're Cindy Sheehan, anyway.

Michelle Malkin notes that Mutha Sheehan's fasting efforts don't seem to be that much of an imposition.
