Religion Of Peace And Children

Thank you to The Religion Of Peace, found in my links section, for this picture:

After this Muslim Morrocan six-year old girl stumbled and accidentally stepped on her teacher's prayer rug while he was praying, he calmly finished his prayers and proceeded to teach her a lesson...

Namely, that a ratty piece of sheep's wool is more valuable than she is as a human being.

"Religion of Peace" indeed.

Now let me counter with the Christian view of the value of children:

Luke 17:2

"It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than he should offend one of these little ones."

Air America Losing NYC Flagship

Sure to leave a void in liberal's listening habits, Air America Radio is slated to lose it's NYC flagship WLIB-AM in August. The network will replace Air-America with local liberal programming.

What? You mean New Yorkers don't want to hear Al Franken and Randi Rhodes blather on about how evil Bush is day in and day out?

An Air America spokesman told the press that the network would continue on in NYC, but would not comment on "hypothetical speculation."

Uh-huh. Sound like someone doesn't really have a plan to me.

To say that Air America has some really low rating would be an understatement. Al Franken is the most prominent host on the network, and is rated #12 on AM radio. WWRC-AM in Washington, D.C. recorded only a fraction of a ratings point in the spring. (That's one fraction of one point, not an increase or decrease. That's the actual rating.) Arbitron couldn't detect a measurable listenership for the station in the summer quarter.

I'm sure it isn't their fault though. It isn't as if they have worse than the worst show on the radio. It's probably Rush Limbaugh's fault, or that maybe only right-wing zealots have radios. Perhaps there's some secret cabal that fixes AM radio, run by big oil...

I'm sure they'll come up with some reason.

Are Porno Stars Really Actors?

Sure, Debbie can do Dallas, but can she do Shakespeare? With her clothes on?

"My Bare Lady" is a London based reality show that will cast four porn actresses from the U.S. to act in the classic drama. They will be given a crash course in acting and appear before a discerning British audience. The show is set to air on Fox Reality cable network.

I'm not holding out much hope for these women, and I wonder why there aren't any men cast, too. Still, I wonder if the British audience will be aware of the actresses resumes before the performance? To be fair, if one goes in expecting less than high caliber performances...

Muslims Protesting For Pro-Illegal Immigration In L.A.

If this isn't a good reason to secure our boarders, then I don't know what one is!

Muslims in L.A. are being urged to join millions of Latino protestors on May 1st for amnesty and open boarders. Guess who's doing the urging....CAIR of L.A.
"In solidarity with immigration activists around the country, the Muslim Public Affairs Council as well as the Council on American-Islamic Relations - Los Angeles, the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, the L.A. Latino Muslim Association, the Muslim American Society - Los Angeles, and the Muslim Students Association - West are calling on American Muslims to participate in a day of action on May 1, 2006," says a statement from the Muslim Public Affairs Council.

"Islam's message is one of social justice, economic fairness, and fair treatment in the workplace. The Quran urges the proper treatment and respect of workers."

Why, might you ask, are Muslims pushing for illegal immigration? I'm sure it has very little to do with respect and fairness, and a lot more to do with allying themselves with a growing majority and destabilize America!

Feel free to speculate for yourselves...

Senate Conservatives Cut Some Pork

It's no secret that I don't like John McCain. However, I've got to say, he and Tom Colburn are one-up after cutting $15 million dollars of waste out of a funding bill for Katrina relief and the Iraq war.

What was the potential waste for? A seafood promotion; no kidding. $15 million dollars for an ad campaign telling you to eat fish 'cause it's healthy.

One of the funniest and most sensible things Sen. McCain has said in a long time:

"Charlie the Tuna and the Chicken of the Sea mermaid are doing their job just fine without any help of the federal government," said Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. "Let me save the American taxpayers $15 million right now by telling all Americans now to eat seafood. Eat seafood. It's good for you."

V For, Well, Not For Vendetta...

Today was the big day! My hubby, in his mercy, went to the hospital and went under the knife.

He had a Vasectomy.

No more little 'uns for us (providing no foul-ups of Katrina magnitude in the next couple of months...); after three anklebiters we have decided to call it quits on the child-producing front, much to the glee of millardo, who has called yours truly a bad parent on more than one occasion, simply for my right-leaning political viewpoint.

All trolls aside, when it comes to babies, we are pleased to wait about 25 years for grandkids, and in the case of our daughters, about 35.

$100 Gas Rebate In The Works

The latest GOP energy package to grace the Senate floor includes a $100 gas rebate for folks making less than $125,000, or couples making less than $150,ooo per year.

Now, before you roll your eyes, consider this.

This may be the first sound, albeit transparent, political move the GOP has made in quite awhile! The rebates are tied to an energy package which includes the oft-defeated ANWAR drilling effort, energy efficiency, and alternative fuel research.

If the Dems strike this down again because of those delicate caribou, they will be denying the common man tax relief where his wallet is smarting the most: Gas prices.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining about gas prices because I think that companies shouldn't be able to make a profit; on the contrary, oil companies are turning the average profit margin of about 7%. Oil companies make so much because they are so huge, not because they are gouging!

Coca-Cola has a 22% profit margin, and DiTech about 71%.

I am complaining, however, because while the oil companies take about $0.21 per gallon, the Federal and State governments are taking about $0.70 cents, depending on where exactly you live. That's two and one-half times more than the oil companies are making!

The Fed should give some of it back! Lord knows that they take too much of our money and waste it as it is! And the beauty part is, if the Dems vote this down, they look like jerks to the very folks they are pandering to!

I love being an EVIL Conservative!

Muslim Women Want "Separate But Equal" Exercise Access

Roughly 200 Muslim women who bought memberships to the Fitness USA athletic clubs in Michigan have signed a petition asking the gym's owner to provide separate exercise times for women and men.

Array Mogalli said she feels like her $1465 lifetime membership to the gym is a waste after she learned that the gym, who previously held women's only days, went co-ed.

The women want the separate days restored, or some kind of partition between equal facilities erected, so that women and men cannot see each other while exercising.

The company, for it's part, holds that their contracts have no gender clause.

I've got to say: If you want to exercise in private; buy a treadmill. You're in America, babe, and we're co-ed. Deal with it.

Solution To Terrorism: Buy 'Em A VW!

This blog has found the solution for Islamic Jihad: Buy all Homicide bombers a VW, courtesy of America.

Islamic Jihad Lauds Teenager's Critical Injuries

Daniel Wultz, a Florida teenager on Passover vacation in Israel with his family when he became one of over 60 people injured when a Palestinian homicide bomber blew himself up in a Tel Aviv falafel restaurant.

Abu Ayman, one of the leaders of Islamic Jihad, expressed regret that Wultz is still alive. Wultz is in a coma in an Israeli hospital, where he lost his spleen, one kidney, one leg and probably the other in the aftermath of the bombing. His prognosis is not good.

Said Abu Aymen of this deplorable attack on a child who is both American and Jewish: [he is the]"best target combination we can dream of :American and Zionist."

Wultz's father sustained a fractured leg in the blast.

"We are sorry there was not more of this stuff. American and Zionist: this is the best target combination we could dream of. This is the ideal target. He is a young American who came to encourage the enemy to continue his war against us," Abu Nasser said, a senior leader of Al Aqsa Brigaides.

"I want to use this occasion of speaking to the American people to tell them that the unfair support of your people to Israel is the reason that you are targeted almost everywhere in the world. Second, I want to bring to your knowledge that the most cruel settlers are those who came from America. It is known that the Jews are sly and not honest, and they are leading into this trap of the Middle East in order to carry out their plan of controlling the world."

Really? The Koran itself says it is good to lie to the infidel; the Torah says no such thing. One of the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament is, "Though shalt not lie."

"The Americans are now the best representatives of the devil on earth," Abu Ayman said.

And those who celebrate the critical injury and likelimpendingng death of a child are not?

Abu Ayman said Jews of all backgrounds are targets: "The meaning and the goal of our lives is to fight the devil spiritually and physically. The Jews are the expression of both kinds of devil. No mercy for devils."

"The only sorrow that I feel is that the Jewish parents of this Daniel Wultz did not suffer like an average Palestinian family who lost its child. Maybe if their child was killed they and the Americans would have to pay attention to the suffering of thousands of Palestinian families who lost their children."

I'm sure that Daniel's father wishes and prays it was him instead of his son in that hospital bed, fighting for his very life. I'm sure that he is suffering like you or I can only imagine.

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you have never known evil; if you doubt who our enemy is, just ask Daniel Wultz's father. He can tell you.

Irony Or Coincidence...Where's The Ring?

The new portrait of President Bill Clinton, unveiled at the Smithsonian sparked a curious observation...Where is the former president's wedding ring?

The portrait depicts the left hand clearly, with the ring and pinky finger bent back, and yet the hand seems devoid of marital jewelry.

A reporter queried Sen. Hillary Clinton about the absence: "I don't know," she said. "You'll have to ask my husband."

Hiss...

President Clinton's spokesman blamed "artistic license" over the bare-handed mystery.

Do Your Part, America!

Every American need to do their part to conserve. Make sure you do yours!

President Bush "Can't Get No Satisfaction"

A couple of days before President Bush tried to book the first floor and the "Presidential Suite"of the Imperial Hotel in Vienna.

The Stones are due to play in the city, and Mick refuses to give up his accommodations after Bush aid asked if they could find other accommodations for him, so as not to have to re-secure a new location.

Jagger has been a harsh critic of the Iraq war, and the President himself. The Stones latest album, "A Bigger Bang" has a song which takes a catty swipe at the President.

Hotel officials confirmed that President Bush would no longer be staying at the hotel, but refused to say where he had found other accommodations for "security reasons."

So Mick has a hissy and Bush quietly goes elsewhere? It seems we now know who the gentleman is... As if anyone thought it was Jagger anyway.

Does The Size Of A Mexican Politician's Shoe Equal The Size Of His...?

If you think politicians in America get into the mudslinging, you've obviously never seen a Mexican election. Bloviating, insults and campaign ads are everywhere, and some even speculate as to who has the greatest (ahem) manhood.

Most people don't even follow the political issues, and one could easily assume that the only thing that does sway opinion is size.

"We know why we are with Roberto. It's because he has big ones," says a farmer in a TV spot to promote Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, candidate Roberto Madrazo, running in third place in opinion polls.

Madrazo recently took a pot-shot at the leftist canidate's um...manliness after Manuel Lopez Obrador would not participate in a live debate.

"He didn't have the guts, he didn't have the manhood to be in the debate," Madrazo told a reporter.

D
espite a women's rights movement, and women's employment numbers surging recently, Mexicans taunt President Vicente Fox for the seeming submission to his wife, Marta Sahagun, in an almost Bill and Hillary type relationship.

"This thing about size comes from a yearning among Mexicans for a strong president or even a strong party," said political analyst Marcela Bobadilla.

Ahmeadinejad = Hitler

Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said Sunday that Iran's nuclear program is the most serious threat to Israel since the Nazi holocaust.

"Of all the threats we face, Iran is the biggest. The world must not wait. It must do everything necessary on a diplomatic level in order to stop its nuclear activity."

"Since Hitler we have not faced such a threat."

I'm going to give him that. Being on the receiving end, I'm sure he would know.

Iran is adamant that it's nuclear program is based solely at producing energy. The oil that they sit on is for the Western suckers, apparently.

I suppose Ahmadinejad is just hoping we'll let that little "wipe Israel from the map" comment slide.

Israel has fully endorsed U.S. efforts to stop Iran's nuclear development through possible sanctions.

Said Ahmadinejad:"I think it is very unlikely for them to be so stupid to do that," he said. "I think even the two or three countries who oppose us are wise enough not to resort to such a big mistake."

This guy has us by the you-know-whats, and he knows it. We should go ahead and bite the bullet, and wipe that smug look off of his face!

Three People Swallowed By Cesspool

Andrew Palladino walked outside in the rain Sunday to pick up his paper, when the 71-year old man was swallowed up by a cesspool.

The ground, soggy from two days of constant rain, gave way outside his Long Island home.

"I walked across the lawn, and all of a sudden I disappeared."

Palladino cried out for help, and his neighbor and son were sucked in when they came to his aid.

His son, Dan, said the scene "was like a horror picture."

Firefighters were able to secure the scene and pull everyone out unharmed, if you can call being covered in raw sewage O.K.

It's STILL Bush's Fault?

Hillary Clinton is at it again... She made an Earth Day (Don't even get me started on that.) speech by announcing her new energy plan and by blaming President Bush's environmental policies for Hurricane Katrina.

OK, take a moment and collect yourself; go ahead and get a stiff drink, or pop a couple of ibuproferen.

"In the last five years, the Bush administration has left no major environmental law untouched in their push to deregulate, undermining or rolling back decades of regulations put in place to protect our heath.

"The results are all around us," she says, citing "more greenhouse gases, global warming, rising seas, more violent storms like Katrina."

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It gets better:
"We have the National Institutes of Health; why don't we have a National Institute of Energy?"

More Democratic-spawned bureaucracy that will basically do nothing. Fabulous.

She blamed Bush for
"the endless demand for higher-priced oil [that] is depleting world supplies [and] weakening our economic security."

OK, Hillary. Should we try to use our own oil while finding alternative fuels?

Nope. She also criticized the
"short-sighted, oil company-dependent energy policy that values drilling anywhere for oil more than it values protecting our planet, Mrs. Clinton said her energy plan would compel the big oil companies to invest "their historic profits . . . Into a strategic energy fund to develop alternative energy forms."

Yeah, and you think oil prices are high now?

Oh, and Hillary is starting to sound a little more Gore-like: She supports "research" into "
wind farms, solar energy cells, ethanol, and biodiesel."

Blame and do nothing. It sounds like the typical M.O. of the left...

France On The Retreat...Again.

Not surprisingly, France has lost it's spine when it comes to nearly all domestic policy. After the Job Law debacle, those frogs in the government just can't seem to stand behind anything; at least not until after the elections.

Paris government has backed down from an anti-smoking law that would ban cigarettes in public places, even bars. It seems that it is an election year there, too, so lawmakers have put anything that would be unpopular on the back burner.

"They're not going to do anything for a year, until the next elections," said Rey, 28, alternating between sips of beer and drags on a Camel at Aux Petits Tonneaux ("At the Little Barrels") bar in central Paris. "And that's too bad -- we need a lot of reforms."

The French government has retreated on not only the smoking law, but also on laws regarding flea market regulation (OK, flea market regulation? Don't they have anything better to do?) , pollution, health care initiatives; they're pretty much not doing a thing right now.

"The government leaders are so frightened they cannot move," said Claude Evin, a former French health minister who has spent years advocating smoking bans and other health-related initiatives. "They are startled by their own shadow. France is facing a terrible situation with such leaders."

I'll give them that. America should stand up and listen, they do almost the same thing every election year.

The Height Of Fashion

Screamin' Dean Is At It Again

Screamin' Howard Dean is busy shoving his foot in his mouth.

Reported by The Christian Science Monitor:

On prospects for a Democratic wave sweeping over Congress in 2006:

"The first of two ingredients for a wave is here ... people really want a change.... The second piece is that the Democratic Party has to be seen as the vehicle for change. That is my job, Harry Reid's job, Nancy Pelosi's job...."

On the biggest issues in the 2006 election:

"The biggest issues of the election are character issues.... They are going to go to the president's and the Republicans' trustworthiness and honesty and their competence. And they are going to lose big on both those issues. After that we get to Iraq, we get to the economy, we get to healthcare."

On the Democrats' policy on Iraq:

"There is a consensus that we cannot continue to have a permanent commitment to a failed strategy.... One, we are going to support our troops and two, you are going to see a ... desire to resolve the situation ... by turning this over to the Iraqis and bringing our folks home. The only thing that is left up to some modest differences is what the timetable is."

On religion and politics:

"The religious community has to decide whether they want to be tax exempt or involved in politics."

On Democrats' slogan in the 2008 election:

"One of our slogans is probably going to end up being 'tough and smart.' Because what the Republicans have done is tough and not very smart."

This Makes Me Sick...

Matt Chaffee weighs 100 pounds...Finally.

He eats 6,500 calories a day (two and a half times what the average male should eat) and has just now reached the 100 pound mark.

The 5' 9" 22 year-old just cannot seem to gain weight, no matter what he eats. His goal since turning 18 was to break 100, and in order to do it, 5,000 calories of his daily intake come from protein shakes.

None of his doctors know why he has such a hard time putting it on, but I wish they could figure it out and hook me up...

Death For Rapists?...I'm O.K. With That!

Convicted child rapist Kenneth Hinson, 47, has no kids of his own and was extra-nice to neighborhood teens. So much so, that they called him "Uncle Kenney."

Uncle Kenny owned a rural plot of land in South Carolina, and left his property open to kids who wanted to go camping, and would often cook out for the neighborhood, roasting marshmallows, fishing, and generally being a nice guy.

Maybe a little too nice.

None of the parents who let their kids go to Hinson's property knew that he had served nine years in prison for the rape of a 12-year old girl in 1991.

"My kids stayed down there, camped down there with him and cooked down there with him," said Donna McGee, who knew Hinson for four years. "Nobody ever suspected anything."

Then, two 17-year old girls escaped from his property last month, saying that he had kidnapped them, bound their mouths and hands with duct tape and raped them repeatedly in a shallow "dungeon" under a trapdoor in his tool shed.

Hinson was captured after a four day manhunt, when he turned up at his niece's house asking for a cigarette and a glass of water. She called 911, and he was arrested.

Unfortunately, since the girls were 17, Hinson does not fall under South Carolina's new law permitting the state to execute any sex offender caught raping a child 12 and under.

Gov. Mark Sanfor and South Carolina's attorney general both endorse the death penalty for child rapists. Three other states have laws allowing the death penalty for child rapists: Louisiana, Florida and Montana, but none have carried it out in over 30 years.

"There are a lot of people who would argue a rape of a child is tantamount to taking their life, because you deprive them of their childhood," said Jay Hodge, the prosecutor in Hinson's case. But "as a practical matter, I don't feel comfortable that the U.S. Supreme Court would go along with it."

The Supreme Court in 1977 overturned the death sentence of a Georgia man condemned for raping an adult woman. It declared that execution "is an excessive penalty for the rapist who, as such, does not take human life."

I say the death penalty for child rapists should be automatic. In fact, I wouldn't mind if it were expanded to include all rapists. The act of rape is a violent, sociopathic display of contempt which destroys the life of the victim. Sure, some are able to recover, but they will never be the same again.

The Oil Platform

Quick to exploit any problem for political gain, a major platform issue in November will be the cost of oil.

To varying degrees, Democrats around the country are following a similar script that touches on economic anxiety and populist resentment against oil companies.

"It's a metaphor for an economy that keeps biting people despite overall good numbers," said Senator Shumer.

I think it should be noted, though, that Democrats whine about gas prices hurting the public while forbidding us to disturb the sacred caribou in Alaska, and putting so many environmental restrictions on building refineries that no one even bothers to try anymore.

Is it any wonder they're laughing at us in Dubai?

The problem with Republicans is that while they will say that the dems won't let us drill/refine, they won't do anything about it while holding both the Presidency and the Senate majority.

If voter anger stays high, Democrats, as the minority party, stand to benefit most, said Amy Walter, a political analyst for The Cook Political Report, a nonpartisan newsletter.

"Angry voters are motivated voters," Ms. Walter said. "If the message in November is one of change, this is helping to make the case for Democrats."

The problem with that is that nothing will get done on the other side of the isle, except maybe a tax hike to encourage 'conservation'...

More Than Six...

Hey! Aren't there more than six retired generals in the U.S....?

Religion Of Peace: Unbelievers are "Filth"

Pupils of the British college Hawza Ilmiyya in London are protesting the curriculum. A few Muslim students training to be imams at the college are concerned that the students are being taught from medieval texts that call nonMuslims, or "Infidels" "filth" and compare them seriously to "pigs and dogs," which are considered to be "unclean" animals in the Islamic faith.

The religious school offers degrees that are validated be Middlesex University.

The students spoke to The Times on condition that they remain anonymous. (Gee, I wonder why...) They spend two days a week as religious students and three days on university courses.

Here's where it starts to get even more interesting.

The Hawza Ilmiyya and Islamic College for Advanced Studies (ICAS) share the same building, and they also share a single fundraising arm, the Irshad Trust. One of the managing trustees is Abdolhossein Moezi, an Iranian cleric and personal representative of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the 'supreme' religious leader of Iran.

Huh. Iran is funneling money into British-backed degrees that teach that Brits and other nonMuslims are "filth, pigs and dogs."

But wait, it gets better...

The text that upsets the anonymous students is the core work in the Introduction to Islamic Law class that was written by Muhaqqiq al-Hilli, a 13th century Islamic scholar. The Hawza Ilmiyya website states that "the module aims tofamiliarizee the student with the basic rules of Islamic law as structured by al-Hilli."

Besides likening unbelievers to filth, the al-Hilli text includes a chapter on jihad, setting down the conditions under which Muslims are supposed to fight Jews and Christians.

So Britain is certifying degrees on jihad funded by Iran?

Where's my ibuproferen. No, skip that. Where's the whiskey?

Abortion Talk In The Fourth-Grade

An unidentified fourth-grade teacher at Pittsburgh Hills-Henderson Elementary School has been suspended pending an investigation into a lesson she gave about abortion. The teacher described, in detail, the process of abortion and the process of adoption, and asked students to vote on which one they would do.

One nine-year old girl went home and told her father all about the day's lesson. She voted for adoption...

"My daughter's innocence has been taken away from her," Mr. Stienstraw said of the incident.

The school's principle sent out letters informing parents of the discussion...the next day. Too little, too late, I'd say. So, apparently, do parents, who demanded her immediate firing.

"This board has to follow a process and there's nothing they can do tonight," Solicitor Francis DiSalle said. Because she is a member of the teacher's union, the school has to follow a lengthy review process.

I can't even imagine how angry I would be if it were my daughter who had been subjected to this! Why can't kids be kids, without worrying whether or not they would have abortions if they were pregnant?

Outrage At The U.N.!

Despite decades of human rights violations the U.N. is now claiming that women were better off under the Hussein regime. An African news agency contracted by the U.N. stated:

"Women's basic rights under the Hussein regime were guaranteed in the constitution and more importantly [they were] respected, with women often occupying important government positions. Now, although their rights are still enshrined in the national constitution, activists complain that, in practice, they have lost almost all of their rights."

The report, which claims that women are now being forced to "take the veil", stands in stark contrast to the testimony given before the House Committee on International Relations in 2003, given personally by Saddam's victims.

"Women were brutalized partly in an effort to control their husbands, partly out of a mere uncontrolled hostility. Rape was a State policy and at times videotaped and sent to women's families in order to intimidate them. At other times, the rapes were intentionally committed in front of the families. Women were denied equal education and the basic legal protections."

One particularly gruesome account came from Marine Corps Major Alvin Schmidt:

"They would take young female children, sometimes pre-teenage years, and take them and systematically rape them until they became pregnant and execute the baby in front of the female and threw the remains of the baby into a cell where there were prisoners that were starving."

Maj. Schmidt said that according to what he heard: "The prisoners would eat the remains and then [Saddam's guards] would either execute the young lady at that time or send her home with a psychological damage that had occurred from that series of events."

If these were my "constitutional guarantees," and the sort of "respect" I could expect as a woman, I would gladly take my chances with the U.S. soldiers!

I have said it before, and I'll say it again: The U.N. is evil!

"Irantium"

Cynthia "Race-Card" McKinney Update

The official Capitol Hill police report on McKinney's assault of an officer said the congresswoman struck the cop "in the chest with (a) closed fist."

The event report , obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, calls the incident an assault on a police officer, and was filed immediately after the occurrence on March 29th at 08:55.

The report includes specifics about the incident that were previously only speculation. Whether or not McKinney will be formally charged remains to be seen. Not surprisingly, McKinney's office refused to comment on the report. As of yet, she has not apologized to the Officer McKenna, whom she struck.

I hope they roast her. Every time someone uses race as an excuse for their own bad behavior, it cheapens real incidents of racism and those who really suffer from it!

McKinney's playing a card, all right...The Joker.

The Black Death!

A new case of bubonic plague has been reported in Los Angeles for the first time in 22 years.

Health officials said that the woman had likely been exposed to diseased fleas, and that animals in the areas surrounding the woman's home would be captured and tested for exposure.

"Fortunately, human plague infection is rare in urban environments, and this single case should not be a cause for alarm in the area where this occurred," said Los Angeles County health official Jonathan Feilding.

Plague symptoms include fever, muscle aches, nausea, headache, sore throat, fatigue and swollen, tender lymph nodes associated with the arm or leg that has flea bites. The disease is treatable with antibiotics.

Nice to know that we still have the classics, huh?

Uh, It Doesn't Taste Like Chicken...

Katie Holmes has given birth (I'm sure it was absolutely silent, too.) but it looks like Tom didn't eat the placenta after all.

After telling GQ Magazine that he would eat the cord and placenta, and thought it would be "very nutritious," Tom played down his remark after grossing out the entire country with his cannibalistic comments.

He later gave an interview on Diane Sawyer, saying, "Yeah, we're going to do that- a whole family thing. Isn't that normal and natural? No, we're not eating it."

Cruise seems to make a total posterior of himself every time he has a movie coming out. I'm sure MI III's director is ready to hang himself!

Hillary Clinton:Let's Be More Like France

It seems that Hillary can't let it go. She's coming back to the healthcare issue, at least in some capacity.

Sen. Clinton is calling for a massive expansion of the Family and Medical Leave Act, saying that it is past time for an updated version that allows time off of work for participation in children's school activities and health care, as well as time to care for elderly parents.

"We make it about as hard in our country as possible for people to do the most important job there is in any society - and that is raising and nurturing the next generation," Mrs. Clinton told a Brown University audience during a speech on women's leadership last week.

"Since the Family and Medical Leave Act was passed in my husband's administration, more than 50 million men and women have taken advantage of it," she explained. "Well, I think it needs to be updated and it needs to be expanded somewhat."

Mrs. Clinton insisted that "there should be time available for teachers conferences and doctors appointments, to be involved in your children's' lives and to increasingly care for your aging parents.

The FMLA already allows for 12 weeks of time off of work for immediate family concerns.

Curiously, Hillary made no mention or estimates of the costs to businesses under her new act.
My guess is that it'll start looking a lot like France over here...She's obviously testing the water for things to run on in 2008.

Podcasting!

Get your earplugs ready...I'm podcasting now!

I recorded my first installment tonight, which I hope will be a weekly occurrence.

Hope 'ya like it! I'll also be submitting it to iTunes, when I figure their form out.

Terror!

This was a blog entry about the latest homicide bombing in Israel in "It's A Matter Of Opinion," posted by Seawitch. It definitely deserves a look.

The look on that man's face whose wife was murdered by a PA homicide bomber is seared into my mind.

THAT is what Islam has to offer you!

Finally, A Liberal College Professor Punished!

Sally Jacobsen, a professor in the literature and language department at Northern Kentucky University has been put on leave and will retire at the end of the semester after admitting she led students in the destruction of an anti-abortion display on campus. She will not return to the school.

"I believe what she did was outside the scope of her employment," said school President James Votruba.

It seems that unlike Kent State and the Pino debacle, at NKU there are repercussions for bad behavior!

Jacobsen confirmed that she led graduate students to a grassy area on campus to rip up about 400 crosses, which were temporarily erected to symbolize a graveyard for aborted babies. Northern Right to Life spokesman Katie Walker said she would like to see those responsible for destroying the display prosecuted.

Now, if only Kent State could take a lesson from the sensible administration at NKU...

Break Out The Aspirin Bottle...

Eli Roth, director of "Hostel" was a guest on "Your World With Neil Cavuto" Friday. When Neil asked why horror movies were resurging lately, (Get ready, here comes the headache.) Roth quoted the liberal mantra: It's Bush's fault!

Roth claimed that people want to scream because of the "things going on in the world," and the government's poor response to Hurricane Katrina. It seems, according to Roth, that horror movies offer a safe environment which allow people to scream out their hopelessness and frustration, thus allowing an emotional release.

Roth blamed the Vietnam War for the popularity of movies like "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," and that there were fewer horror movies during the Clinton Administration because "things were calm."

He said all of this while slandering the military, of course. The "never ending war" fought by our "disorganized army" soldiered with "scared kids." Makes people want to scream.

I want to scream right now. You go ahead, too, if you need to.

Naturally, Neil was at the top of his game, and quickly pointed out to Roth that "Psycho" came out during the Kennedy Administration, and that even a superficial fact-finding search of horror movie history shows that there is no such trend. In fact, during the eight-year Clinton Administration, there were such film gems as, "I Know What You Did Last Summer", Disturbing Behavior", and "American Psycho", to name just a few.

It's sad that Roth doesn't realize just how ridiculous he sounds!

Peaceful Co-Existence With Islam= Slavery

Here's another story you won't hear a lot of in the Main Stream Media:

Tens of thousands of black slaves remain in bondage in Northern Sudan. Who are they being enslaved by? The Islamic regime in Khartoum.

Christian Solidarity International have been trying to buy back slaves from Muslim overseers. Unfortunately, this does little good, as the Muslims simply raid more villages and take more slaves, with the goal of making the entire nation Islamic.

CSI says its interviews with liberated slaves "reveal a clear pattern of physical and psychological abuse, including rape, beatings, female genital mutilation, forced conversion to Islam, Arabization, racial and religious insults."

The US government has designated this as genocide. World Net Daily reported that in 2004, CSI helped free almost 200 slaves captured during Sudanese government-sponsored raids against black villages.

CSI has appealed to the US government for help in stopping this outrage. The Khartoum government denies that slavery even exists, despite the fact that the counrty's cleric-backed National Islamic Front declared a jihad on the mostly Christian black villagers.

Sadly, we won't hear about this MSM because it involves Muslims abusing Christians, and that would detract from the agenda of portraying Muslims as a "Religion of Peace."

I would also like to ask where the NAACP and their ilk is on this! Where is Jesse Jackson, or more importantly, Lois Farrakhan? The leader of the Nation of Islam is curiously silent when it comes to Muslims abusing black people!

'Hanoi Jane' Decides Not To Do Anti-War Tour

'Hanoi' Jane Fonda appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America" yesterday, and said that although she would like to tour the country and speak out against the war she won't...

"I wanted to do a tour like I did during the Vietnam War, a tour of the country," the Oscar-winning actress said Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America." "But then Cindy Sheehan filled in the gap, and she is better at this than I am. I carry too much baggage."

Huh? You have more baggage than Sheehan?

A funny aside: Last month the Georgia Senate overwhelmingly rejected a resolution to honor Fonda for her work in the prevention of teen pregnancy, her goodwill ambassador role with the UN, and her donations to universities and charities. They felt it would hack off veterans too much!

New Diet Plan

I have decided that I will start a new diet program and sell it. I'm going in with Sharpie to form the Neo-Sharp diet.

Any takers to advance order the book?

Sorry, CAIR, We Still Have Free speech For Now!

A federal appeals court upheld the dismissal of a $2 million dollar defamation lawsuit brought against former U.S. Rep. Cass Ballenger.

CAIR filed the suit after Ballenger gave an interview with the Charlotte Observer said that CAIR raises funds for terrorists "with actual malice, wrongful and willful intent to injure and with reckless disregard for its truth or falsity."

"Diagonally across from my house, up goes a sign, " CAIR the fund-raising arm for Hezbollah," said Ballenger, according to the Observer, referring to the Lebanese group regarded by the U.S. as a terrorist organization. "I reported them to the FBI and CIA."

Go, Ballenger, go!

CAIR filed suit with the statement that they wanted to send
"a clear message to all those who make malicious and defamatory statements against American Muslims or their institutions that they will be held accountable in a court of law."

Ballenger was already retired when he made his remarks, and so his statement is protected as freespeechh because he did not make them within his role as a member of the House of Representatives.

CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper of course called Ballenger a bigot, but it should be noted that in 1993 he said Islam is not in America to be equal to other religions, but to dominate. In his interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune, he said he wants the U.S. to be a Muslim country.

"I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future," Hooper told the paper. "But I'm not going to do anything violent to promote that. I'm going to do it through education."

A little legal jihad? CAIR is not stupid; they know that they cannot defeat America in an out-and-out fight, so they are waging jihad in our courts and schools. We had better wake up and stop them! Thank you to this Federal Appeals court for not breaking under CAIR's pressure!

Bridging the gap between Christianity and secularism this Easter...

Busted!

Grandpa caught the Easter Bunny sneaking around the yard, hiding eggs. Looks like we'll be eating well tomorrow!

Another Beautiful Moment From "The Religion Of Peace"

When Hatun Surucu, 23, began to wear make-up and date German men, there was only one thing for her brother to do. Shoot her in the head three times at point-blank range.

The 18-year old Turkish Muslim (residing in Germany) shot her at a bus stop and calmly walked away. At the nearby school he attended, where the majority of students are children of immigrant Muslim families, boys cheered for joy when the news of the murder reached them.

The shock and anger of Hatun has had a year to cool, but was reheated at Ayhan Surucu's sentencing Thursday. A Berlin court gave him just nine years and three month's for his sister's cold-blooded "honor killing." It is difficult to find a Berliner who doesn't think the sentence far too lenient.

Ayhan's brothers, 25 and 26, were acquitted of conspiracy for lack of evidence, which elicited cheers from friends and family in the courtroom. The prosecution had sought life sentences for all three men. The brothers were accused of purchasing the gun and standing guard during the murder.

Hatun was raised in Germany, but forced into an arranged marriage (illegal in Germany) to a Turkish cousin in East Anatolia. The match was a sour one, and she escaped with her five-year old daughter to Berlin. She began wearing make-up, blue jeans instead of a headscarf, and dating German men. She lived in an apartment with just her daughter, and had a job.

The key witness was so fearful of the brothers and their family that she wore a bullet-proof vest on the stand. Prosecutors feared that even Ayhan may have been acquitted, except that he admitted that he wanted to "wipe the stain (of Hatun) from our family."

Germany has about 40 "honor killings" a year, and most result from the failure of illegal arranged marriages. It makes one wonder just how much of that sort of thing happens here in America, and what will happen if we don't stop placating and acquiescing to Muslims.

Blessed Are You...

To celebrate Easter as a Christian in Baghdad, Dr. Sameera Giris has to sneak onto a bus leaving from a secret location, walk through a bottleneck of razor wire, and undergo a body and property search by an armed officer protecting the Evangelical Protestant Church. Even her Bible is checked to ensure that it isn't a hollowed-out casing for a bomb.

"In Baghdad you pray watched over by Kalashnikovs, not angels,"she says
with a shrug of her shoulders.

Everyone wishing to celebrate Easter and attend church services knows that they risk their lives in Muslim nations, where the penalty for evepossessingng a Bible can be death. One of Dr. Girisneighbor'srs and co-workers was shot on his front doorstep foorganizingng the ten-mile bus rides to church on Easter.

Not surprisingly, the MSM has failed to report that in the last eight months, ten churches iBaghdadad have been bombed on Sunday services. The terrorist activity is being carried out by "insurgents", as the media calls them.

The pastecoloreded stained glass windows have been shattered by a
bomb and replaced. Christians abroad pump money to their fellow
believers in Iraq. But he shakes his head at the ugly barricades and
barbed wire disfiguring the front of his church. He is uncomfortable
about having armed men on the premises but describes it as "a necessary
evil". Last year police disarmed a suicide bomber outside.

But Pastor Ikram says that in recent weeks Baghdad's shrinking Christian
community has enjoyed a respite; the Shia and Sunni communities have
been too engaged in annihilating one another to bother about Christians.
It is a relative calm. He has buried ten of his congregation in the past few
months, all victims of violence, and watched many more abandon
Baghdad for good.

The Pastor sent his wife and three daughters out of the country for their own safety, yet stays behind to minister.

We should all be grateful that we live in a country where we can get out of bed tomorrow, enjoy a nice breakfast and know that unless some freak accident happens, we will go to church and come home safely. There are no roadside bombers waiting to kill us for our faith, and we must remain vigilant to keep it that way.

Let's keep these brothers and sisters in our prayers this weekend especially!

PETA: Can We Kick Them Off The Planet?

Peta delivered yet another slap in the face to anyone with any moral compass whatsoever Thursday.

In Vienna, a "row", as it was defined by the news, broke out over plans by PETA to symbolically crucify three animal rights activists wearing animal masks on Good Friday outside of Vienna's St.Stephen's Cathedral.

PETA said the activists would have been suspended from crosses with crowns of thorns on their heads. The slogan of the protest would be, "We suffer and die for your sins of nourishment."

Doesn't exactly make you want to run out and convert to veganism, does it?

PETA said its aim was to catch the attention of consumers who ignored the suffering of animals.

Head of Vienna's central 1st district, conservative People's Party (VP)
politician Ursula Stenzel, condemned the plan.

Her office spokesperson Angelika Mayrhofer-Battlogg spoke of
"mockery of a religious community on one of the most important days
of the Christians".

"The action would be more blasphemy than animal protection."

The Archdiocese of Vienna said: "It's a completely unacceptable
falsification of the religious dimension of Good Friday."

As well-intentioned as the animal protectionist might be, the crucifixion
of Jesus Christ was not suited "to transport secondary messages".

Let's stop right there, shall we? This was not to be a well-intentioned protest. These folks knew what they were doing was inflammatory and highly offensive. They were attention-grabbing, and using a group who they knew would turn the other cheek! Imagine if it were Mohammed up there...There would have been a heck of a lot more than a "row."

I used to think of PETA as just a bunch of college-aged nut jobs. Not anymore!

A Very Good Friday!

Let us not forget today is Good Friday, and although there is plenty of secular celebration going on, today was the day that Christ suffered and died to forgive us our sins.

What a great gift; it keeps on giving, even 2,000 years after it was presented to us!
I thought this one was pretty good...

We often say things on the internet that we wouldn't dare say in person. Maybe we should all blog out loud a little more!

ATF Busts A Ninja...Sort Of.

The ATF was on campus at the University of Georgia on April 12, eyes open for anything suspicious. Specifically, they were training locals in the Project Safe neighborhood program.

Meanwhile, Jeremiah Ransom was jogging home from a dormitory costume party that he had attended in ninja garb.

Federal agents held him in investigative detention, but he was released after he was found to have violated no criminal laws.

"It was surreal," Ransom said. "I was jogging from Wesley to Snelling when I heard someone yell "freeze."

Ransom said he thought a friend was playing a joke before he realized officers had guns drawn and pointed at him.

Agents noticed someone wearing a bandanna across the face and acting in a somewhat suspicious manner, peeping around the corner, said ATF special agent in charge Vanessa McLemore.

Thank goodness! I feel safer all ready...

Perceptions Of Islam Falling

I saw this story and was floored. Although they had to report the falling perceptions of the public on Islam, they prefaced it with an insult to our intelligence. I will reproduce the article in it's entirety, and add my commentary in bold.

Poll: Sinking Perceptions Of Islam

(CBS) Although Americans believe they are better informed about Islam than they were five years ago, a new CBS News poll finds fewer than one in five say their impression of the religion is favorable. Wait. So now that we realize that Islam isn't our friend, we're uneducated morons? Thanks a lot, you jerks!

Forty-five percent of respondents queried April 6 - 9 said they have an unfavorable view of Islam, a rise from 36 percent in February. And the public's impression of Islam has diminished even more compared with four years ago. In February 2002 less than six months after the terrorist attacks of September 11 the country was evenly divided in its impression of Islam. Guess the silence from the Imams speaks louder than words, huh? The Mo cartoons and slaughter of innocents don't help much, either.

WHAT IS YOUR IMPRESSION OF ISLAM?

Thirty-six percent of respondents said they haven't heard enough or don't know enough to say either way. You've always got folks who just can't decide. Is the sky blue? I dunno.

Americans today are also more likely than not to believe that Islam encourages violence, at least in comparison to other religions around the world. Does the term "Jihad" mean anything to you?

The last few months have seen escalating sectarian violence between Shiite and Sunni Islamic factions in Iraq and the ongoing trial of Zacarias Moussaoui in the United States. The poll finds 46 percent of Americans believe Islam encourages violence more than other religions, compared with 39 percent of Americans who felt that way two months ago and 35 percent who felt that way in March 2002 (according to a Gallup Poll).

When compared with some other religions practiced in America, positive views of Islam rank below those for mainstream Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism, and Christian fundamentalist faiths. Only Scientology, of all the religions asked about, ranked lower. Well, I can see that. Those Scientologists are just plain weird...

Break Out The Aspirin...

According to the EU, European governments should now strive to shun the phrase "Islamic terrorism" for the kinder, gentler term, "terrorists who abusively invoke Islam."

WHAT?!? There is NO WAY I'm going to say something that RIDICULOUS!!!

b
bb The EU is drafting a "non-emotive lexicon for discussing radicalisation" to be submitted to Tony Blair in June.

This tripe is coming primarily from Brussels, where an EU official said: "The basic idea behind it is to avoid the use of improper words that would cause frustration among Muslims and increase the risk of radicalisation."

HUH? If they're going to go around killing people over a few words (let's not forget the Mo cartoons) then I don't think it would help to be more sensitive. They want infidels dead, period.

"Jihad means something for you and me; it means something else for a Muslim," EU officials at a Berlin conference on radicalisation said. "Jihad is a perfectly positive concept of trying to fight evil within yourself."

OK, stop right there, 'cause I think I'm having a brain bleed! Webster's Online Dictionary defines jihad as (n) A holy war by Muslims against unbelievers.

When a Muslim says jihad, he is talking about killing you. Talk about pulling the wool over your own eyes. I hope Blair has the sense to rip this to little shreds and throw it in the trash, where it belongs!

Once again, Congress either thinks we are stupid, or just doesn't realize how big of a jerk they look like!
Awwwww, Yeaaahhhh!

All of you Beck fans will be pleased to know that a date has been nailed down for the television premiere of The Glenn Beck Program!

Child Protective Services...In The Nude!

This probably won't surprise you coming out of West Palm Beach, but I'll go ahead and share it anyway.

A child abuse worker from Palm Beach County may face disciplinary action for disrobing twice on the Howard Stern radio show.

Alison Cushman, 31, visited the program while on vacation in New York with her husband. Photos of the visit were reported to be posted on Stern's website. (I didn' t look that one up for myself, sorry!)

County spokesman Marilyn Munoz said "appropriate action" will be taken against Cushman. "State employees are held to a higher standard, and as such, unbecoming behavior will not be tolerated."

But wait, it gets better! Cushman's husband, Boynton Beach police Detective Troy Raines appeared on the broadcast with his wife, giving Stern a shirt and a replica of his police badge!

"We haven't had an opportunity to discuss the incident with him," said Boynton Beach police spokesman Lt. Jeff Katz.

I'm sure they will. He's toast!

What a bunch of losers! Can you imagine that this woman could assess your family just hours after whoring around on Howard Stern's show? And a cop would stand there while some drooling bunch of overage losers watch his wife strip naked? Ugh!

Outrage!

Apparently America isn't the only nation with insane judges.

Mark Jordan, 34, was assistant director of music at Kimbolton School near Huntington in England, where police found child pornography on his computer.

He was fined and ordered to pay court costs, and also placed on the Sex Offender's Register, but Judge John Sennitt refused to ban Jordan from working with children in the future.

"I do not have to impose such an order," the judge told him. "Indeed, I can only impose such an order if I'm satisfied it is likely you will commit a future offence against a child."

Ummm....Do you think the kiddie porn might be a clue here, Judge?

The Death Of The Irish Wake

Perhaps we could hold a wake...For the death of the Irish wake.

The EU has issued a directive that could put an end to the age old tradition of the week-long event, in which a body is typically bathed and dressed in a white garment. The body is then laid out for about a week, during which it is not to be left alone. While the family watch the body, games are played, food and drink consumed, music played and a life well lived is celebrated. At the end of the week, women begin to "keen", and a rosary is placed in the corpse's hands, so that everyone present may kneel and pray. The body is then laid to rest.

This tradition is centuries old; as evidenced by the song Finnegan's Wake, in which Finnigan wakes up in the middle of his own wake. (Not to be confused with the book of the same name.)

The EU directive, issued by Stavros Dimas, EU environmental director, would require embalmers to preserve the body under a new 'biocides' directive. The directive goes into effect in September, and would prohibit the use of formaldehyde and other ingredients capable of destroying living organisms.

The Irish object, naturally. The Irish Association of Funeral Directors has written to EU and Irish politicians, saying that the ban would alter the tradition of the wake.

The association said: "Viewing the deceased is part of Irish culture and it is recognized that such practice is an important part of bringing closure to bereavement, and ample evidence from psychologists exists to back this up."

The Fianna Fail MEP for Ireland South has also challenged it. Brian Crowley said:"From my reading of the regulation the embalmers may argue a requirement of derogation on the grounds of protection of cultural heritage."

It will be interesting to see if the EU will respect the culture of the Irish. After all, if a Muslim country complained that their culture were being subverted, you know that the EU would capitulate.

Al Gore want all of us polluting sinners to repent, 'cause the end is near!

"If we allow this to happen (global warming), we will destroy the habitability (Habitability? Is that even a word?) of the planet," Gore told a group of environmentally minded corporate executives in California on Thursday.

"We can't do that, and I am confident we won't do that," he added, according to Oakland's Bay Area Argus.

But the former VP warned: "We have been blind to the fact that the human species is now having a crushing impact on the ecological system of the planet."

Gore said global warming "is really not a political issue, [but] it's disguised as a political issue. It's a moral issue, it's an ethical issue."

The former number two Clinton official pointed to last year's devastating hurricanes Katrina and Rita, saying: "This is the first foretaste of a cup that will be offered to us again and again and again until we regain our moral authority."

Does he realize how ridiculous he sounds? It's rather arrogant to think that the temperature on the Earth never fluctuates or changes? Has anyone told him about the ice age, and the subsequent thaw-out?

Besides, how is a man who was lock-step with Clinton have any room to speak on morality?
Yeahaw, pardners! The gay rodeo is in town!

The Florida Gay Rodeo Association (No, I'm not making that up, there really is a FGRA!) is hosting the state's first gay rodeo this weekend. It's going to be a real blast, complete with competitions and concerts.

The competition is open to both gay cowboys and cowgirls, who may compete together in any event, even ones traditionally reserved for men, such as bull riding and bareback bronco riding.

''And that's the great thing about gay rodeo,'' Nikol Hillman, one of the contestants said. "Every gender can compete in every event. It really breaks down those barriers.''

The Sunshine Stampede also includes events that would never happen at a traditional rodeo, such as dressing goats in underwear and horse racing in drag.

I think I'll pass this year...
A 12-year old boy from Ansonia, CN is in deep trouble after he falsely claimed that he was abducted and assaulted by white men wearing robes. He claimed he was the target of racism when white men abducted him while he was walking home, took him to a local park and sprayed his face with a flammable liquid and set him on fire.

The police quickly determined that it was a complete lie, but not before the boy's mother called the NAACP! That's right; they had barely hung up the phone with the cops and already had the NAACP on the way over to their house!

All of this took place in less than an hour.

The NAACP issued a statement: "We're pleased the Ansonia Police Department performed a thorough investigation and determined the charges were false. However, as a historic Civil Rights organization, the NAACP takes claims of racism very seriously."

It turns out that the child's injuries occurred while he was at a friend's house. The boys were apparently playing with lighter fluid and matches, and the story was made up to explain away his injuries. The tactic has backfired, however, because now the boy may be charged with filing a false police report.

The boy's mother, on condition of anonymity, told the local news she has required her son to personally apologize to everyone affected by his lie, and stressed that her family has no ill-will toward any race. She says she is glad her boy wasn't attacked, but is very upset by the pain he has caused.

OK, so let's give this mom the benefit of the doubt and assume that she has raised her son in a racism -free home. This kid had to learn such deplorable behavior somewhere...and my money is on Cynthia McKinney. Hear me out; I don't think it's that much of a jump!

Not even a week ago, this 12-year old kid watched the news, and saw that if you are a minority and you get in trouble, the race card can be used as a tool to get out of trouble. So, thank you, Cynthia McKinney, and your ilk! Thank you for perpetuating a culture of segregation and real racism!
It seems that Hamas has decided to abandon suicide bombings, which to this point have caused the death of almost 300 Israelis.

The Islamic group which leads the Palestinian Authority says that it may or may not resort to "other" means of violence towards Israel if no progress is made toward Palestinian statehood.

Yihiyeh Musa, a member of the PA legislation council said Hamas has moved on to a "new era" which does not require the use of homicide attacks. They claim, "The suicide bombings happened in an exceptional period and they have now stopped. They came to an end as a change of belief."

I wonder if that has anything to do with America and the EU cutting of aid to the PA?

Hamas need about $150 million dollars every month to fund and pay the members of its government. Without the foreign money, the Palestinian economy would collapse.

Despite this, Mahmoud Abbas warned that if Israel tried to impose "unjust" boarders on Palestine, there would be war within ten years. Of course, they could consider just about anything "unjust", couldn't they?

Hamas was the first Islamic group to use homicide bombers as a terrorist tactic, which has lent inspiration to Muslim terror worldwide. They claim that the tactic was used only as one of extreme desperation, in response to extreme provocation.

Yeah, those women and children on buses and in cafes really provoked 'ya.

Many Palestinians believe that 'suicide' bombings damaged the PA's cause, and portrayed them as the aggressors instead of Israel.

"The occupation government with its outside allies succeeded in labeling all Palestinians as terrorists as a result of the suicide bombings," said Musa.

Yeah, pretty much, since the Palestinian majority elected Hamas. If you morons didn't approve, then why on Earth would you elect them as your official government?

Some commentators say Hamas has always had a moderate wing. Khaled Hroub, director of the Cambridge Arab Media Project and the author of Hamas: Political Thought and Practice, said that even among members of Hamas, suicide bombing was controversial.

"If one looks at the conduct of Hamas in 1996 there was huge controversy even in the ranks of Hamas over its bombing campaign. Hroub says Hamas has the potential to make the transition to a purely political organization. 'The concept of the two-state solution is now the cornerstone of their thinking. I doubt we will see the old Hamas again,' he said.

Hamas now finds itself turning from poacher to gamekeeper. Islamic Jihad and the Fatah-linked Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade have said they will continue to attack Israel. But Hamas fears that if armed groups are carrying out attacks and firing missiles, it will make its government look weak. Hamas hopes to persuade other groups to stop their attacks but insists it will be be prepared to use force.

Sounds to me like Hamas is having buyer's remorse! They can't use the kind of tactics they did in the past, or they risk bankruptcy from lack of international support, yet if they play by the rules, they alienate their hard-line base. I think, ladies and gentlemen, that Hamas has just screwed itself!
Here's a funny one:

An Egyptian man from Cairo routinely donned a full Islamic niqab to visit his long-time mistress. He camouflaged himself to prevent her neighbors from gossip, and probably because it's hard to have an affair with someone after she's been stoned to death.

The 30-year old man was outed after a woman on the carriage noticed his um, manly footwear poking out from under his veil, and screamed for security to unmask him.

Now comes the not-s0-funny part... If this yahoo can dress in a head to toe veil and sneak around almost indefinitely, then what would stop a terrorist from doing the same?

Burqas and the like should be illegal in free countries!
Isn't it ironic that with the immigration debacle going on here in the U.S., the Saudi government is quietly taking care of business on their own boarders.

The Saudi Arabian government has announced that it will begin accepting bids to fence their own boarder with Iraq. It seems that they are concerned that "insurgents" may try to cross into their nation and hide out, and they consider that to be undesirable.

The fence is to be 560 miles, and will likely be built by British defense companies.

Riyadh is worried that the Shia majority rise to power could pose a threat, as Saudi mistrusts Iran, whom the Shia have close links with.

The bottom line is that Saudi isn't hesitating to secure its entire boarder. Yet, when we here in America want a little bit of fence, the press calls it "draconian." Most Americans don't want a 700 mile fence, they want a 2,000 mile one!

America needs to take a heads-up and do what it takes to secure our own boarders. After all, everybody else is doing it...

I think that by this point, Cynthia McKinney's ego should be assuaged.

No one will ever fail to recognize her again.

The Corky Report has discovered that intelligence intercepted a memo from Osama Bin Laden to his terrorist underlings. Here it is, translated in its entirety.

MEMO FROM BIN LADEN WARNS CAVE TALIBAN TO STOP STEALING HIS CHEEZ-ITS
The following memo was obtained from an unnamed yet impeccable source within the CIA and is simply amazing.

From: Bin Laden, Osama [mailto:osama@taliban.com]
Sent: Tuesday, March 19, 2002 8:17 AM
To: Cavemates
Subject: The Cave

Hi guys. We've all been putting in long hours but we've really come together as a group and I love that. Big thanks to Omar for putting up the poster that says "There is no I in team" as well as the one that says "Hang In There, Baby." That cat is hilarious. However, while we are fighting a jihad, we can't forget to take care of the cave. And frankly I have a few concerns.

First of all, while it's good to be concerned about cruise missiles, we should be even more concerned about the scorpions in our cave. Hey, you don't want to be stung and neither do I, so we need to sweep the cave daily. I've posted a sign-up sheet near the main cave opening.

Second, it's not often I make a video address but when I do, I'm trying to scare the most powerful country on earth, okay? That means that while we're taping, please do not ride your razor scooter in the background. Just while we're taping. Thanks.

Third point, and this is a touchy one. As you know, by edict, we're not supposed to shave our beards. But I need everyone to just think hygiene, especially after mealtime. We're all in this together.

Fourth: food. I bought a box of Cheez-Its recently, clearly wrote "Osama" on the front, and put it on the top shelf. Today, my Cheez-Its were gone. Consideration. That's all I'm saying.

Finally, we've heard that there may be American soldiers in disguise trying to infiltrate our ranks. I want to set up patrols to look for them. First patrol will be Omar, Muhammed, Abdul, Akbar, and Richard.

Love you lots.

Osama

Talk about insult to injury!

A mere day after announcing his resignation from Congress, Tom DeLay is poised to file ethics violation charges against Cynthia McKinney.

"If somebody else doesn't file an ethics charge, I will," DeLay said on Rush Limbaugh's radio show this afternoon. "I am going to defend these Capitol Police. ... They are incredibly professional and courageous, and I am not going to let this happen."

DeLay also blasted McKinney as a racist who uses her color as an excuse for perceived victimhood.

"She is a racist," DeLay said. "She bases everything on race. Everything bad that has ever happened to her is because she's black. She's anti-Semitic, that's who she is."

By now, I'm sure that we're all familiar with the McKinney debacle, so I won't rehash it here, but I will give a few of her outrageous quotes.

"The issue is racial profiling,"

"You can't stop me. The real issue is face recognition and security around the Capitol complex."

If that's the case, all I have to do is look like someone that works in the building, and I can stroll right through security with a bomb in my briefcase and blow the whole Senate floor up!

But I digress. I think that ethics charges should definitely be brought against her. She has slandered a police officer who was just doing his job.

But to have DeLay bring them? Bad form. It just doesn't look good; someone else in the Senate who has a little more political calm around him. Unless this is because Tom knows that no matter what he's going out, so he's saving someone else from being under the racist gun...Hmm...

Remember when Newsweek started a media firestorm over the since disproved flushing of a Koran at Gitmo? Muslims were violently indignant, and the liberal American left berated us to no end.

Well, with that warm and fuzzy memory in mind, this little bit of news should interest you. I'm sure you'll notice the lack of coverage in the main stream media.

In Multan, Pakistan, four Muslim men, in an act of Islamic peace, acceptance and understanding, were caught burning a Holy Bible and some other religious texts, including calendars depicting Christ, and some Christian study booklets.

The burning of the Bible has touched off a riot of Pakistani Christians numbering about 1,500.

"We caught four people – Hafiz Islam, Hafiz Abid, Rana Abdul Ghaffar and Rana Abdul Jabbar – burning our sacred books and literature on a heap of garbage on Tuesday evening," Pakistan Christian Writers Guild President AD Sahil said, according to the Pakistan paper.

Local council member Nazim Ch Shamoon Kaiser told the Daily Times: "Two chapters of the Bible, calendars carrying portraits of Jesus Christ and booklets containing religious literature were reduced to ashes."

Yet, it seems that this is the straw, as it were. Christians in Muslim countries are subjected to brutality on a daily basis, and murders of Christians in the middle of the night are not uncommon.

Town elders intervened to save the lives of the four men who burned the Bible, and urged local Christians not to take the law into their own hands.

Of course, that would be the law who turned a blind eye on March 30th, when a Protestant Church was attacked by a group of unidentified Muslims who are still at large. The minister of this church, Nathaniel Barkat, begged police to provide security to area Christians after five churches have been attacked in less than two months. He challenged the statement by government official Raja Basharat, who claims that there is "complete harmony" between Muslims and Christians in Punjab Province.

I am personally sickened that the media portrays Christians as backwardsintolerantnyokelsls, and Muslims caliterallyly get away with murder, and still be shown as ambassadors of the "Religion of Peace."

Here's one for all of you infidel guys!

I guess she'd be banned in Colorado public schools.

You've got to watch this video...

Watch out for the ending, though; A bit of profanity there.
In yet another pathetic attempt by scientists to minimalize and explain away Christianity, Florida State University Professor of Oceanography Doron Nof says that rare conditions could have aligned to form a small, isolated patch of floating ice on the Sea of Galilee. Jesus didn't really walk on water, he walked on ice!

Looking at temperature records of the Mediterranean Sea surface and using analytical ice and statistical models, scientists considered a small section of the cold freshwater surface of the lake. The area studied, about 10,000 square feet, was near salty springs that empty into it.

The results suggest temperatures dropped to 25 degrees Fahrenheit (-4 degrees Celsius) during one of the two cold periods 2,500-1,500 years ago for up to two days, the same decades during which Jesus lived.

With such conditions, a floating patch of ice could develop above the plumes resulting from the salty springs along the lake's western shore in Tabgha. Tabgha is the town where many archeological findings related to Jesus have been found.

"We simply explain that unique freezing processes probably happened in that region only a handful of times during the last 12,000 years," said Doron Nof, "We leave to others the question of whether or not our research explains the biblical account."

Uh-huh. Anyone else think he may be stretching a bit for this one? Conditions that are almost impossible happened at that precise moment, and a floe of significant enough size, stability and thickness appeared at exactly the right position for Christ to walk across it? Seems like a miracle to me!

I wonder what it is about the Christian faith that inspires so many scientists to try to disprove it?
Hey girls, here's a hap-hap-happy little news blurb for 'ya...

A textbook used in schools in New Delhi, India, in the state of Rajasthan compares and contrasts women to donkeys, and suggests that the animal makes a man a better companion than a human woman, as they complain less and are more loyal to their "masters."

"A donkey is like a housewife ... In fact, the donkey is a shade better, for while the housewife may sometimes complain and walk off to her parents' home, you'll never catch the donkey being disloyal to his master."

This appears in a Hindi-language primer intended for 14-year olds, and was approved by the state's Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party.

As you can imagine, women's advocates were outraged!

"The comparison was made in good humor," state education official A.R. Khan was quoted as saying. "However, protests have been taken note of and the board is in the process of removing it (the reference)."

Good humor, huh? Ha, Ha, Ha...
What the heck is going on in Colorado?

Students at Shaw Heights Middle School are no longer allowed to wear anything that is patriotic, including camouflage, because the school considers it a political, anti-Hispanic statement.

"It upsets me that we cannot support our troops -- the military," said Kirsten Golgart, an eighth grader who was told she'd be suspended if she didn't change her clothes. "We can't support our country. If we're American, I think we should be proud to be an American."

The school principle, Myla Shepard, said she wanted to prevent fighting.

"We started seeing name calling," Shepherd said. "Safety is my first concern, so I'm going to do things to keep us from getting to a point where anybody is hurt or being suspended for fighting."

One student who wore a pair of blue jeans, and a red and white sweater, she would be expelled.

Expelled? HUH?!?

In Longmont, CO, the principle of Skyline High School banned all flags because of tensions due to the recent focus on illegal immigration. Yep, all flags, including the AMERICAN flag!

Here's a free suggestion for 'ya: Punish the kids after they do something wrong, and don't infringe on my freedoms!

This is outrageous! We are Americans, for heaven's sake! It's only right that the flag be flown in our own country. Are we so worried about bruising someone's feelings that we will deny our own identity?
Cynthia McKinney just flopped the race card, as most of you have probably heard.

U.S. Capitol police are seeking an arrest warrant, and have "referred its investigative findings to the U.S. attorney."

Filing such an affidavit is the first step in obtaining an arrest warrant. Only if Wainstein approves the affidavit can Capitol Police officials ask a judge to issue the arrest warrant.

Wainstein could clear the way for a warrant. He also could turn the case over to a grand jury, even without a warrant, or he could decline to go forward with the case.

McKinney called the incident one of "racial profiling."
Nevermind the fact that she is purportedly notorious for not wearing her identification. She complained because she said she changed her hairstyle and wasn't recognized, and therefore singled out because she is black.

Cynthia, that hairdo isn't working, for starters. Are police now supposed to memorize every last person who works in the building?

You know what all of this is really about? Cynthia McKinney's self-importance is so huge that when she was stopped, per policy, for not wearing the proper identificationand ignoring police three times, princess' ego got a little bruised. How is it possible that some common person, some pleb, would not recognize her, Cynthia McKinney, for goodness sake!

So she, in a rage of ego, struck him. That's a huge offense, and if you or I had tried it, we'd be sitting in a jail cell right now! So, privileged Senator who isn't under arrest, I'd fold on the race card!

I think that the most infuriating thing about this is that there is real racism out there, even in this day and age. McKinney flippantly using racism to cover for her own irresponsibility and lack of self-control trivializes it. Keep it up, and no one will listen, because like the boy who cried wolf, they're going to get tired of coming to the rescue when it was only a lie!

The Westboro Baptist Church (Or, as I like to call them, the Phelps' Family Church) began protesting as soon as they heard of rainbow sheep.

Notice the worried look on the sheep's face.

Rainbow Sheep are the latest creation of the PC movement. In an effort to eliminate racism in children's nursery rhymes, the PACT (Parents And Children Together) of London have altered the words to "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" to Rainbow Sheep.

Oh, PUH-Lease!

Other nurseries have refused this nonsense.

"We sing Baa Baa Black Sheep and Baa Baa White Sheep because that's reality, that's what the children see in the fields and it encourages them to look around them," said Jill Edge, from the Sunshine Centre in Banbury, north Oxfordshire.

"Realistically, they are not going to see rainbow sheep in the fields. There are much better ways of addressing these issues."

Once they realized that PACT wasn't a pro gay/lesbian organization, the Westboro Baptist Church quietly packed it up and left the field.

No member of the Phelps' family could be reached for comment at this time.
Teresa Prenderville of Indiana was ordered by a judge to attend an anger management course. The smart thing to do would have been to attend the course, get through it and be done.

But no one ever said Teresa was smart. She became angry during one session and threatened to kill a fellow class member.

The specialist who runs the class told police a 26-year-old man walked in and asked Prenderville if the seat next to her was taken. The specialist told police Prenderville immediately started yelling to the man, "I'm going to put a cap in you and send you to heaven."

And she didn't stop there. She repeated it several times, until the man began to shake and tear up. She threw a threat at another member of class, and stormed out into the lobby. She then decided to further relieve her anger by knocking over a display case near the front door, bending the door frame and breaking the glass, racking up $200 in damages.

Police found her walking away from the building, and told them she snapped because he made fun of her. The man and all present staff say he only asked to sit next to her.

Police say she has no mental deficiencies; just an inability to control herself.

I guess she failed the class.
Can you pass the US citizenship test?

Here's a website that gives you twenty questions at a time that appear on the US citizenship test, and grades your answers. You can even take it in Spanish if you'd like.

I say that everyone should be tested, and anyone found in the country who cannot pass should be immediately deported to a country of their choosing... Ah, well. Wishful thinking, I guess.

I'm going to have to start calling them bluenecks...
Man, are drug cartels evil or what? As if it isn't enough that they cater poison to society's addicted, now they're getting their product across the boarder (yeah, there's that boarder thing again...) in headstones shaped like the Virgin Mary!

The DEA announced the arrest of 12 people in a smuggling ring stretching from Mexico City to New York.

Bricks of cocaine were found packed in the headstones, each one containing 20 to 25 kilos.

"Like grave robbers who have no respect for the dead, this drug organization used revered tombstones to smuggle millions of dollars worth of cocaine into New York City," said John Gilbride, the special agent in charge of the New York DEA office.

In an earlier seizure effort, officials intercepted nearly $500,000 in cocaine and drug proceeds. According to the DEA, their efforts have dismantled the entire ring, from Mexico City suppliers all the way down to New York street dealers.

And if the whole Virgin Mary statue thing weren't evil enough, last month the DEA busted a ring of smugglers who surgically inserted drugs into puppies to sneak their filth across the country.
Here's yet another reason to secure our boarders: FBI director Robert Mueller said that his agency busted a human smuggling ring this week. That's not too out of the ordinary, but here's where it gets scary... The smugglers were sneaking Hezbollah operatives across the boarder into the US!

"This was an occasion in which Hezbollah operatives were assisting others with some association with Hezbollah in coming to the United States,Mueller told a House Appropriations subcommittee during a Tuesday hearing on the FBI's budget.

Mueller admitted that Hezbollah had succeeded ingettingg some of its operatives across the boarder, and told the House committee:"That was an organization that we dismantled and identified those persons who had been smuggled in. And they have been addressed as well.

I hope that means they were able to find them all!

If you will recall, Hezbollah is responsible for the second most deadly attack on the US; the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983, which killed 243 US troops.

In another warm-feeling piece of boarder news, the FBI caught a terrorist on its most-wanted list near the Mexican boarder last November. The Al-Qaida operative was housed in a Texas jail and turned over to the Feds.

"A confirmed al-Qaida terrorist, an Iraqi national, was held in the Brewster County jail," Rep. Culberson told ABC Radio host Sean Hannity. "He was captured in Mexico. This was within the last six weeks. He was turned over to the FBI."

Who could possibly need a more compelling reason to put our military on the Mexican boarder?
